Vincitori Fine Italian Cuisine Ratings and Reviews
This is the second time that my husband and I have been to Vincitori. Both times we have had to wait for someone to even bring us water and take our drink order. I feel like they’re forgetting us. We were not in a hurry but we felt neglected. This last time our server was training another server.
Easy parking, great food and a really cute place. It is a little pricey, which is the only reason this will be a great occasional restaurant instead of a more frequent dining destination. I went with friends and we were not rushed out at all, even on a Friday night. Really nice evening, delicious food, thank you!
Waited 20 minutes for server to appear at table. Took beverage order and disappeared for 15 minutes more and it only got worse. Bread placed on table, no oil, parmigiana or butter until requested. Ordered veal dish then was told 15 minutes later they had run out of it. Obviously need more wait staff
Very disappointing dining experience. We brought our daughter and son in law for a birthday dinner celebration. We were ready for a great evening, however the staff at Vincitori clearly were not. The first 25 minutes were spent waiting for drinks, we did not get our appetizer until an hour and ten minutes, they were barely warm and nothing special. Then dinner came do us 25 minutes later, all the dinners were just warm, not hot.
Veal marsala with 1, count them, 1 mushroom on the plate, 3 very small pieces of meat, tasted more like chicken than veal.
My husband had pork chop vesuvio, said it was tasteless and without garlic, hard to believe. Our dinner guests were underwhelmed to say the least.
We were there for a special occasion told the server so, however he did not address it as requested and by the end of the meal we were fed up, the celebration was no more.
During the time we were there the server was hard to find.
I spoke with the server about mid way through the meal, he gave a short terse response that sometimes these things happen.... ill go check on your food.
Later I some with another server sharing our displeasure, he really was not ask that interested either.
That's all fine and well as we would NEVER recommend this restaurant to our family, friends or business associates.
Vincitori dies not understand how to maintain customer relations nor more importantly customer satisfaction.
I never write reviews but this time I simply had to.
On open table it asked if we were coming for a special occasion. I put Birthday, however when we came no one said or did anything to acknowledge my birthday ( so why ask?) We picked this restaurant because it advertised live entertainment on Fri and Sat. We were disappointed that there was no singer that night (even though it was on their calendar.) Our soup and salads were ok. The main dishes were better. I had the trio of beef medallions. The blue cheese one was a little too strong on the blue cheese. The meat was nice and tender though. We had to wait a long time for our waitress to take our order.
First time diners. While disappointed because the entertainment apparently cancelled and we really were looking forward to it, Marco our waiter was excellent as was the food. My martini at $13 was high but my wife's coffee was on Marco, so I'd say it was a wash. We will definitely be back.
We have been going to Vincitori's for years and they never disappoint. The service is attentive and responsive. The food is outstanding. I have paid much, much more for the same dish at other restaurants, but they never measure up to Vincitori's. 20 years ago a colleague of mine commented that Vincitori's food is the closest he's ever tasted to his Italian grandmother's cooking. We've been going there ever since.
The meal itself was good enough but everything else seemed off. Examples - 20 minutes for bread after receiving parmesan cheese for the olive oil, told it's in the oven but it was not hot and not soft or even fresh. The starter was a dish I love and tried to even make at home but it tasted significantly different this time and I was told there was no changes. Just off tonight like food stuck on clean plate??? I hate that and how hard is it to pay attention setting a table. Is what it is and I would recommend they visit other restaurants in there segment and see what they are doing better across the board.
Vincitori's is worth the extra $ and they are able to accommodate food allergy requests/options. It's a great "neighborhood gem" and the entertainment on the weekends (singer with a Karaoke machine) is terrific (it made the dining experience more romantic)!
