Always a wonderful experience! The lamb chops were incredible as were the short ribs. Vincent's is a gem in downtown Escondido.

Finally found the cozy French restaurant we were searching for. Delightful music, lighting, wine list and food. We'll be regulars.

It took 2 hours from order to dinner presentation.
I'm sorry, but that's a sign of a kitchen in chaos!
Waiting 2 hours for the entree. No thank you!

We had a 5:15pm reservation so we could dine prior to a 7:30pm concert at the Escondido Center for the Arts. Our waiter assured us that we would not have an issue and promised to put our order in quickly when we ordered at 5:30pm. We got our wine quickly however salad and soup did not arrive until close to 6pm. At 7 pm our entrees had yet to come out and we notified waiter we had to leave. I saw at least 4 tables around us of guests who arrived after us who had already eaten entree and were on dessert. I also saw at least 6 tables of guests like us who were still waiting for their food after waiting lengthy periods. We were not offered anything for compensation. We were very disappointed. I have never in my lifetime of eating out experienced such incompetence. We were starving and very unhappy. They should not accept reservations if they can not handle the crowd. They should also know how to expedite orders by table time. Or they need better waiters who can put an order in as promised.

We were seated right at our reservation time and enjoyed everything we ordered. Nice presentation and the service was very good. Bartender, who happened also to be our server, made a great martini. Nice wine selection.

We were just there a week prior and had a great meal. In fact we've always had a great meal here however...
Everybody's food was very good except for the 2 bacon wrapped petite filets.
They were rolled with a wooden stick in the middle. The meat was tough. If I would of known better I would say they were flank steak, rolled.. terrible.
And the unfortunate thing was that we had our friends with us and for some time now we had been telling them of Vincents
We will try again, but this time I'll get the tornados or ask how our the filets prepared.

We had a nightmare dining experience at Vincent's on Friday, Feb. 2. The restaurant was obviously caught off guard by the crowd. It took an hour just to get our appetizers served, another 40 minutes for the main courses to arrive, and judging by the flaming hot ceramic bowls our meals were in, they had been sitting on a stove for some time. Noisy, crowded and severely understaffed in the kitchen and dining room. My wife, a former concierge at Marriott, cited to me chapter and verse the restaurant's failings that evening...so it's back to Bellamy's and Vintana for us.

We visit San Diego area every winter and always put a night out at Vincent's on our must do list. Everything about the experience is fantastic. Great wine menu the food is beyond compare, wonderful wait staff. The testimony is in the fact that we have been going there for the past 8 years and most of the staff have remained the same and the food is incredible. The atmosphere is quiet and lovely. You will not be disappointed!!!

Ordered water when we sat down but it did not come, had to order again after appetizers arrived. There were no menus showing the pre fixed menu. Waiter stated they were out of one of the desserts but there were actually two still available. Food was EXCELLENT. Fantastic value on Wednesdays.

Three course meal was excellent and good value. Even on a Wednesday restaurant was crowded and dinner was almost a two hour affair even with a 5:00pm reservation. So plan on good food and a lengthy dinner.

I treated my sons and son's girlfriend to a mid-week restaurant week dinner at Vincent's. We had a reservation through Open Table for 7:30. This is a small restaurant and they have only a small area to stand while waiting to be seated. We were not seated until after 8 PM. We understand this is European style dining, where clientele is maybe encouraged to linger, which can make reservations problematic. However, the hostess seated a party of 2 who had just arrived before she seated us, rather than putting 2 tables together. She also had another party of 4 waiting past their 7:45 reservation time as well. Then, when our table was finally ready, the hostess tried to seat the 2nd party of 4, who had recently arrived, at our table! We had indeed checked in with her when we arrived, and had waited quite patiently for over half an hour, most of that time standing in the small entry. She did not apologize for this mistake. I think Vincent's needs to better train their hostess, and also adjust their reservation timing through Open Table, if possible, so they don't overbook. Once we were seated, the food was delicious and quick to arrive, and the server, Shelby, did an excellent job. If it weren't for the reservation & seating fiasco, it would have been a wonderful 5 star experience. But poor reservation planning and hostess mistakes soured the whole night.

Food was great - taste and presentation. However, service was a bit lacking. Came here to celebrate a birthday. Waiter did not check in with the table other than to take food orders and drop off food. With this type of restaurant I’d expect the server to engage and check in on diners.

We went to Vincent's on Tuesday during Restaurant Week. We had the 5:45 p.m. seating. When we arrived (on time), the restaurant was packed; however we had a nice table. For the first course I had mushroom ravioli, it was OK but not great, I especially did not care for the onion flakes on top of the ravioli. My husband had onion soup with an egg in it. He loved it!! For second course I had steak. The steak was tender and cooked to perfection, my husband had sea bass, again he loved it. We arrived at the restaurant at 5:45 p.m. and by the time we finished our second course, it was about 8:30. The wait in between each course was just too long. I suspect maybe they were not prepared for so many guests. We went on January 23rd because it was our 42nd wedding anniversary. Even though the food was good, I think the entire experience ruined our special day!

The food was original, creative, and delicious. The appetizer special mushroom tart was to die for. My entree came with a carrot/cumin soup that was one of the best creamy veggie soups I've ever had. My wife and I both enjoyed our entrees. Service was attentive but not overbearing. Everyone from the host to the wait staff was great. This isn't really a "value" place, but the great food was well worth the cost. Photo is of my Steak Merlot (filet).

Our bill was grossly overstated. Charged double for wine and $2 extra for each entree. Was corrected without question- but, left a bad feeling. Waiters were very good as was host. Food very French country.

Very small restaurant. We were seated by the bartender (I believe). The waiter seemed disinterested in waiting on us. I wasn't sure if he did not approve of the wine we selected or he was just not happy to be working that night. The bartender brought water & bread and our meal. The waiter did serve the wine and ask us about our meal. It was a Wednesday and the restaurant was almost empty except for a 2 top that left soon after we arrived and there was a 4 top eating when we left. The Beef Wellington was excellent and we would highly recommend. We specifically went to Vincent's because we had heard the Wellington was good. Would recommend this restaurant. Even though the waiter was "dour" everything else was great.
