Vincenti Ristorante Ratings and Reviews
This is the best Italian restaurant that we have been to in LA. The white truffle tagliolini is amazing. The wood fired bronzino was perfect. The wines were wonderful. It was not cheap because of the wines we ordered, but the prices were fair for the current market and the food was top tier in the area.
Poor Value and deceptive business practices. There are alot of better places in LA. avoid this place.
we purchases a 500 dollar bottle of wine 2012 (Biondo Santi) Brunello which was supposed to be the reserve ($350 retail) a bottle but when it came to the table it was the anna ($150 a bottle retail). not knowing the price difference off the top of my head we accepted the bottle. What set us off was on top of the $350 markup on the wine, the manager added in a $85 manatory tip on the wine (when 2 people were dining) and 20 percent manatory tip on the food check. i paid with two card because i paid for the wine out on my personal card.
disappointing because the food and service was very good.
After spending $800 dollars on dinner, they charged $10 for valet parking.
We asked for a quiet table, and they
Were very accommodating. One of our guests asked to leave off one of the ingredients, and there was no problem. They remembered to ask
For my Groupon, which I had forgotten about. Very nice atmosphere and delicious food.
Will definitely return.
This restaurant was one of my favorites but not anymore. I don't know if it was an off night but the food was just ok, nothing terrible but nothing spectacular either. The service was the worst of all, everything from the greeting from the host to the table side service was rushed and disorganized. There were 4 in our party and we all agreed that out of all the high end Italian restaurants this was on the bottom of the list. Try Scopa Italian Roots in Venice, they will compare very favorably.
We went to Vincenti Restaurant to celebrate a birthday with some friends. We asked for a quite table. They put us in the back room. It was fine until other people came. The noise level was so high we could not hear each other
Two of us ordered the price fix and our friends ordered from the menu. The waiter asked us if we were sure as it was a lot of food. We ordered it anyway. They appetizer and salad were plates you would expect for one person not for two to share. The main course was better.
After dinner our friend ordered desert. When desert came there was a slice of cake (which he ordered) and a scoop of gelato with a candle and the plate said happy birthday. The waiter put the plate in front of my wife to blow out the candle then pulled it away and gave the plate to our friend. Made not sense.
A consistently great restaurant. The menu items are wonderful, but the specials are always inventive, beautifully presented and delicious. They have a wood burning oven, which lends great flavor to the Dover sole. The servers consistently warm, welcoming, knowledgeable and efficient. And the owner Maureen keeps a watchful eye out to make sure everything is perfect.
The unassuming front/outdoor facade of the restaurant is very understated. Once you step in past the hostess table, there is a elegantly done dining room with a beautiful kitchen-view wall and classic decor with subtle accent-lighting. There are tables in some niches for privacy and others in the main dining room. As part of the dining room, there is an additional area that can be closed off into a private dining room for groups and/or privacy.
The staff was fantastic, food was excellent, wine list quite respectable and overall, this understated neighborhood gem was an incredibly pleasant surprise to realize that such a high-quality and delicious restaurant is just steps away from the heart of the Brentwood village. I've walked past this for years without a second glance; very glad that I've tried it and now have an additional go-to restaurant for a nice, local meal that I would be proud to bring guests to.
Excellent food and service. Owner Maureen warm and welcoming. Waitstaff very attentive. Out server, Erica, knew the menu from start to finish and was able to describe every dish and make excellent recommendations. My Dover sole was roasted to perfection and the preparation was as tasty and satisfying as any Dover sole I have ever had. Definitely a restaurant I will return to many times and will be happy to take friends there.
Very disappointing. Menu looked great. We ordered starters , pasta and entrees. Pasta was fabulous, entrees very good, starters disappointing. Dessert and coffee also very good. Our primary server was terrific, the rest of the service was indifferent. Not at all commensurate with a restaurant this pricey. We brought our own wine, $40 corkage. Would not go back.
We were delighted to celebrate what would have been Mauro Vincenti's 75th birthday with great friends and the delightful Maureen. Chef Nicola prepared a special meal in honor of Mauro that he would have truly appreciated. His touch with pasta seems to get better every year and the Porchetta was amazing. Always a pleasure to dine at Vincenti and this time even more so!
The server forgot to put my order in and didn't notice until I asked. And she thought it was a big deal she comp d me cookies for $5. No one picked up plates from appetizers to dinner to dessert. We had to ask for them to do that. The service was horrible. The food is pricey and nothing special. This restaurant was once great and now past it's prime. And did I mention the service was horrible?
