I wish I could I could have reviewed! A fatal accident kept us from even getting to Vincent Chicco's!! Can't wait to make another reservation! Had my heart set on the strawberry salmon!!
GREAT food, ambiance, decor: a quality evening for an intimate group or small party. It's location on the Alley opens you up to music outside and jazz on North King. A great night.
very clean ,staff was on point! Mark was the best server we've ever had in Charleston! Food looked as good as it tasted.
The staff is friendly and professional, the food is wonderful. A large party was sat next to us, so it was a tad noisy.
Salmon was delicious! Service was a little on the slow side and our waiter was interesting was good overall!
Nice spot
Good ambiance
Menu descriptions compared food delivery—inconsistency
Taste of food poor
All 3 in our party had bad food
Server good
It’s a beautiful space, and the service was great. Loved the caprese salad, and the veal Marsala has plenty of mushrooms, but maybe too much pasta.
I LOVED eating at vincent chiccos. The server we had JD was so kind and proffessional and the ice cream he recommended at Jenny's was fantastic. I enjoyed my meal as the lamb was very tender and the char on it was fantastic. The roasted green beans were flavorful and I enjoyed them immensely but the seafood risotto was a tad salty. Spreading it onto the complimentary bread helped. The white wine pan sauce for the lamb was fine and suited the risotto but it paled in comparison to the meat itself. I think it would have pared better with a red wine sauce.
Delicious food! Loved the Sunday gravy!! Great spot!!We'll be back!!!
The food was outstanding and plentiful. The service was also great and we enjoyed meeting the GM of the restaurant and her take on some great bourbon.
THANK YOU!
This is nice little Italian place off the beaten path. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Our waiter, JD, was exceptional even though it was his first day serving. The food was good--we split chicken piccata and each had a salad. Dessert was just OK. I'd return as it is a solid dinner choice, although Charleston is loaded with great spots.
Poor food quality, lamb was chewy ! Jacki our serve tried to sell me a short-shot of Congac after I ordered the drink.
She when from telling me the shots were 1 1/2 oz. pours! My wasn’t, so she said she would cut the 38.00 shot to 30.00 after I complained she cut it to 19.00
Basically her & the bartender were trying to pour a quiet shot & collect 38.00 & split the $$. Never trust this place w Food Quality or Service.. was in Charleston for 6 days all restaurants were great except this cheap under skilled food space ....
My food was great and service outstanding. Definitely, will be back.👍
Knowledgeable waiter and lovely ambiance!
Beyond disappointed with mine and my husbands experience last night. The alleyway coming into the restaurant was so quaint, the restaurant itself was gorgeous - after that, it was anything but. The service was very slow, one particular lady waiting on us was so rude and unpleasant. Food was mediocre. The 2 couples sitting next to us, who are Charleston residents, told us they would never come back either. I normally only write positive reviews, never negative ones. Unfortunately, I felt I must put this out there.

We celebrated our anniversary on a relatively quiet weekday night so the noise level and ambience were perfect. Our server was attentive at the right frequency and ensured we were treated especially well given the reason for our celebration. The wine choices were very good and the entrees were delicious - loved the salmon!
The atmosphere was wonderful, eloquent without being too formal and our waiter's service was impeccable. The food was tasty, well prepared and promptly served. All in all it was an extremely enjoyable, pleasant dinning experience.
The food was fantastic and the staff were excellent. We were there for our one year anniversary which we didn’t tell anyone but they assumed we had a special occasion and gave us two glasses of champagne on the house. The restaurant was beautiful. We were a little early so they weren’t ready for us but had us go next door the the Victor Social Club and they came and for us when our table was ready. Highly recommend this restaurant.
Slow service
Mediocre food
Poor value
Seating was uncomfortable and they wouldn’t let us move to another open table.
Caesar salad horrible, pickled anchovies terrible, veal parmigiana actually had a piece of grizzle, figure that? Noodles seemed like part were left over from the day before mixed in with noodles that were pre aldente’ for that day.
Awful. Never coming back
Waiter couldn’t tell us the fish of the day and when he came back 15 minutes later he didn’t know what came with it and didn’t put our appetizer order in yet. Better service is expected for the price
A gentleman who seemed to be the manager or owner was standing at the door speaking to a Caucasian family as I, an African American woman, walked in and stood there waiting on the hostess for 3-5 min and my present was never even acknowledged. After he finished chatting with them he walked to the back of the restaurant never saying a word to me as I stood waiting, still haven’t been serviced. Then the hostess finally comes and seats my husband and I at a 2 person table directly in front of the door. As a reference point, it’s chilly out and it was the worse possible seat in the house. Now, how the white couple who came in after I did received a 2 person table in the interior of the restaurant I don’t know. (We had reservations). We asked was there a different table available and were told no. It took the lady serving us water to source another table for us. The next table we received wasn’t sturdy. I used my dinner napkin to slide under the table leg in order to keep the table from rocking all night. The entire experience was subpar to say the least, given the ratings and prices. I expected much better service especially since it was Valentine’s Day and my husband and I’s special night. The food was good, but it was definitely overshadowed by the horrible racially suspect service.
Food was very good; drinks a bit overpriced ($15 for a vodka martini?); service/kitchen slow due to a large group upstairs. Would try it again on a weekday evening.
Again, another beautiful evening at Vincent Chicco’s, and our service was especially nice... the manager, Christina, was very accomedating and made sure we were taken care of, servers friendly and efficient, but most of all the entrees were flavorful and unique. Suggestions given to us by Mike for dessert were very helpful. Thank you.
Valentines
My roommate & I had a WONDERFUL time for my 21st birthday! Everyone was so sweet & the whole staff wished me a happy birthday as they walked past our table. The drinks and food were superb! The chocolate torte was to die for, and they even gave me a discount since it was my birthday! We will definitely be going back soon.
Excellent!!!
In Charleston, one comes to expect amazing foods made by highly creative chefs. While Vincent Chiccos is good, it isn't a meal that you will remember.
The food was delicious, great atmosphere and good service.
One of our favorite restaurants in Charleston! We recommend to friends all the time. The food is outstanding especially the Sunday gravy dish!
Fabulous food and service, will definitely be back!!
Two old friend's met for a birthday celebration. Could not have been a better one! Every bite was delicious, from the caprese salad, the bread and olive oil, to the strawberry balsamic salmon and the filet Florentine. Beautiful historic building with just the right ambience. Our waitress was attentive and knowledgable and surprised us at the end of the meal with our choice of a complimentary desert or a glass of champagne for our birthday celebration. Nice end to the evening! Would definitely recommend to friends and family. In fact, I already have. Will be back the next time I am in Charleston!
Excellent Dinner .
Food was marginal at best and really pricey for what it was. Private party upstairs was so loud we could barely carry on a conversation. Our server was nice. Definitely a one and done for us☹️
What a great nice restaurant in an old typical building close to the Charleston music hall! Friendly staff, good food!
The wine is delicious but pretty expensive though...
i would definitely go there again.
Thank you for dining with us before your show at the Music Hall. We will definitely share your positive words with the staff. We hope to host you again soon. Best, Holy City Hospitality & Events by Good Food

Definitely better Italian places around. Food was good.. Not great.. Service wise, everyone was very friendly but the service was inattentive.. Water not refilled.. Cheese tray delivered with no explanation of what cheeses were present.... Table cleared after appetizers but dirty silverware left for entrees.. No real check back until entrees were pretty much finished.
Thank you for sharing your recent experience with us. We appreciate the feedback and strive for excellence. We will be addressing in line ups this week. We do hope to host you again soon. Thanks, Holy City Hospitality & Events by Good Food
If only I could give higher marks!! This gorgeous historic place was better than we ever anticipated in every way...oozes ambiance, charm, history. They got everything right.
WOW Jill! Thank you so much. We are so thrilled to hear we exceeded expectations in every way. We cannot wait to share your kind words with the staff. Thank you. We hope to host you again soon. Best, Holy City Hospitality & Events by Good Food
