Great steakhouse. Best bone in ribeye I have ever had. Great service. Definitely recommended.
We had a great experience. Steaks were cooked to perfection outstanding service! We definitely be back!
We had a really good time. One thing that kept me from giving all 5 stars was the chef. We sent back my fiancé’s wagyu steak (it was his birthday) because it was a little over cooked and he did not enjoy it. We usually do not do things like this, but because we were paying good money for it, and because it was a special occasion, we sent it back. When it came back out the chef brought it to the table. He asked my fiancé to cut into it and asked how it looked. My fiancé said it looked a little undercooked but it was okay because he would prefer it under than over. The chef said “well when it first came back it was cooked perfectly so I decided to cook it a little under”, which we thought was extremely rude. We know steak temperatures, my fiancé is a chef and a steakhouse and I served at a steakhouse for 4 years. We felt it was a condescending statement for the chef to make, especially with the manager at the table, who just walked away without saying anything. Everything besides this encounter was amazing though.
We always enjoy eating here, but since they've updated the interior, we enjoy it a little more. And our waiter this time was PHENOMENAL!!! I cannot speak highly enough of Jim, he did a wonderful job with our table, and we were there a long time. The food was great, everything was cooked exactly as we requested.
Service was EXCELLENT! Food was just OK. I have had much better steaks for this price range at The Taste Of Texas restaurant in Houston, TX.
On a scale of 1 to 10 just for the taste of the steak I would rate it a 5 or 6 at best, Taste of Texas would get a 10+ rating. Their steak was heads and tails a better and more flavorful steak. Vince Young Steakhouse steaks (I got the 12oz. filet) tasted like a good cut of meat that was cooked WITHOUT any seasonings at all, VERY BLAND. No salt, pepper or anything, or at least it tasted that way.
My husband got the Halibut. It too was just OK. We've had MUCH better Halibut at Pappadeaux.
Will we return? Maybe we will give it one more try just to make sure it wasn't just a bad day for the cook!
Very nice dinner.
Dessert offering was very skimpy.
Paintrd inside of house
Food was excellent!! Service was great. Ambiance was great. This was a great place to have a special birthday dinner prior to attending a special theatre performance.
We had a most enjoyable evening and dinner on the 2nd of January. We were celebrating my husbands 77th birthday. Vince Youngs Steakhouse is his favorite restaurant for special occasions. Everyone in our party of 11 raved about the choices they made from the menu, including dessert. Our waiter was perfect, very knowledgeable and helpful with menu selections. A great time was had by all. You can be sure we will return.
My experience at this restaurant was underwhelming. Being a foodie we had heard this restaurant had a great atmosphere as well as great food. We were met with unprofessionalism by the hosts who were seating those without a reservation prior to ours. This caused us to have a 45 minute wait after our reservation time. To add, our food took an abnormal amount of time and my meat was slightly over cooked. It was unfortunate this is where we chose to spend our anniversary.
My steak was fantastic. Service was suspect. We were not provided the specials. We didn't get bread. We were not asked for refilling our empty glasses for the two hours we were there. Very dissappointing, but it was a fantastic steak.
Steak was awesome. Might be the best steak I have ever had
Absolutely great experience - from the front of the house staff, to the bar staff, to the wait staff table-side. Every single member of this team makes you feel like a valued customer from the second you walk in the door. Absolutely one of the best experiences we have had in an Austin restaurant in a long time. Kudos to you Vince Young for taking control of the hospitality world!!
We love this place and have spent many a New Year's Eve here. I know New Year's Eve is a busy time but we were eating pretty early. I would have sworn our waiter had never waited tables before tonight. So many things went wrong. Three of us ordered steaks, one of us ordered their steak medium well and the other two ordered theirs medium rare to rare- all three steaks came back medium well. When we asked for more of their spice bread he told us they were out. We had to ask twice for salt and for drinks. Usually before serving the main entrée they clear our table, but not this time, we had bread crumbs and dirty dishes until another waiter looked over and cleared our table. The guy was nice enough but I really felt like the restaurant set him up for failure. He clearly was not an experienced waiter and they should've given him more training before serving on such a busy night.
I think it was probably a bit louder than usual due to it being New Years Eve but we were extremely impressed by the entire staff from the moment we walked in to the check.
New Year’s Eve dinner. Delicious, as usual! Can’t wait to go back!
The Perfect Ten steak was delicious, one of the best steaks I’ve ever had!
This was my first time dining here. Prior to setting the reservation I looked up reviews and the menu and both seemed well enough. Upon arriving we get inside and the restaurant isn’t completely set up to start serving, once we are seated I asked for a different table because the table was in plain sight of people coming into the restaurant, made me feel uncomfortable. Moved to a different table and off too the waiter seemed to have a bit of a condescending tone towards my boyfriend, which was on the line of “how come you don’t know what this is” or “why are you here” type of tone. The appetizers we order was lobster roll and calamari. The waiter asked what we wanted to drink and we mentioned what we had a taste for knowing it wasn’t apart of the cocktail menu, so he came back with a tropical drink for me and my boyfriend ordered the “inVINCEable”. The appetizers came and the lobster filling was cold, which we didn’t know and the waiter didn’t say, the calamari was excellent and the sauce with the dish even better. We finally order our food, Salmon, mac/cheese, corn, steaks, crab oscar( I asked what came with it before I ordered). Got the food and everything seems ok except when we received the crab oscar. It looked like someone just threw some food on the plate not type of appeal. Finished the food and ordered dessert; creme brulee, it was my first time and it was delicious I must say. All in all I would not come back for the money we spent, the food was decent but not what I would expect.
The venue did not seem particularly festive for Christmas Eve. The waiter brought the wrong bottle of wine to the table, insisted it was what I ordered even though it was a completely different name, and then charged me for the more expensive wine bottle. Not what I ordered at all and I was so disgusted, I just paid and left. It was my first visit ever and I was really excited to try this local restaurant. At this point, I would never go back.
Outstanding personable service from our waiter, perfectly cooked and presented food . A superior experience as if your going to an old friends home with everything your used to an a few nice menu option surprises.
Vince Young's is always the place to go for special occasions and it never disappoints.
Wonderful place for a date night. Great food and service!
Excellent in every manner. Best cooked steaks in Austin.
It was our 13th wedding anniversary we had such a great experience. Our waiter was very informative and suggested a great wine.
The food was excellent. Great choice of prime steaks, appetizers and side items. Service was perfect and the waiter, Karte, was very informative of the source and preparation of the food.
Food and serivice is top notch. Can be expensive but well worth it for a special occasion.
The bone in strip for $50 was disappointing. Not at all tasty. The steak looked like one bought at discount store. This was our first time there. I asked if Laura Brown/GM-owner was there and was told maybe, don’t know.
We had a reservation at 9:00. We arrived at 8:45. After waiting over 40 minutes we decided to eat at the bar. I ordered a wedge, steak and mashed potatoes. The wedge was not fresh, the mashed potatoes came out cold . The steak was good. Overall this was not up to par with a high end steak house. Will not be back.
Great Food, did not enjoy the modern décor. It felt very cold, impersonal. Staff were great, would go again.
Joan and I went to Vince Young Steakhouse to celebrate our 40th Wedding Anniversary. Our waiter Tim took Tremendous care of us, he made us feel as though we were the most important people in the world!
Always consistently great food and service.
ordered of the menu and it was spectacular
they offered to spilt the 16oz ribeye into two servings and we added scallops, shrimp and lobster to the meal
best tasting rid eye - EVER
Server was great. Food was good. Had a nice ribeye. Salmon was amazing.
Great service. Great food. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Love the ambiance. We celebrated our birthdays.
We came for my husband's birthday, and the experience once we entered the restaurant was stellar. Our booth was comfortable, our waiter was attentive, the food was excellent. The valets, however, were pathetic. They (and there were multiple, unengaged valets present when we pulled up, just standing there talking to one another) did not come to the car and open the doors for myself or my daughter. When we left, the same experience. They pulled the car up, took the money and walked away. My daughter and I literally stood in the street and waited for them to provide this customary service, all to no avail. They ignored us and went right back to talking to one another, and literally counting the money we gave them for this sub-par customer service. My husband got out of the car and opened both of our doors, since they couldn't be bothered. They should be reminded that they're aren't offering a car parking service, but a valet experience, which are two different things. Did I mention that it was my husband's birthday?
First time at Vince Young Steak House and it was awesome the food was scrumptious and very good.
Drinks were really good as well.
Terrible service. Waiter kept forgetting items we ordered.
Everything was superb & cooked to order! Entrees take a bit on time but are brought out by multiple serving people st the same time. There was a special dessert for our graduate. The hostesses were very accommodating in photo ops. Everything was perfect!
There were 4 of us in the party, 3 were happy with our meal. the one with the chicken didn't like hers at all. said it was the most expensive rise she has ever had and said she wouldn't come back. Appitizers were great and our filets were excellent.
The steak was delicious. Bread and butter were to die for. My Salmon was extremely fishy tasting, which I was surprised about.... and disappointed about, luckily I had enough bread to fill me up. The waiter and hostess were great, told them we were there for my husbands birthday, at the end of the meal they brought out a piece of chocolate mousse cake with some ice cream, very accommodating. We probably won't visit again, but it is nice for a special occasion.
Delicious food and outstanding service! Great value for the price
