Wait staff is exceptional. The steaks were presented as ordered and tasted delicious. The calamari was lightly breaded and enjoyed with an aioli sauce that was great.
So pleasantly delighted at the evening we spent at Vince Young's Steakhouse. The pre-dinner cocktails were expertly made. We had the carpaccio appetizer which was one of the best we've ever had and gave us flashbacks of being at Harry's Bar in Venice. The main course was equally well done and we enjoyed ourselves immensely. The service was first rate and truly distinctive. This is a huge winner in my book and we are very anxious to return soon.
We absolutely loved the restaurant!! Great food and excellent service. Nice place to go for a once in a great while extravagant dinner!
The only request I could add.. white pants need white napkins.
Great place great food fun atmosphere good location
Excellent food. Relaxing environment. Fantastic service. We loved every minute of our meal.
Steaks were dialed in this trip and service by Quentin was excellent! Will be back.
Great service and the steaks are awesome.
Our server Kyle was excellent with his suggestions and attention without making us feel rushed at all. We had a great evening.
First visit and we chose this steakhouse to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary with our family!
It was ok not very impressed
I’m a Vince young regular and have never had a bad experience!!! Food and service is alway impeccable!!!
We really enjoyed our dinner tonight; much as we have our other times here. Only comment that we can give to explain the 4 stars for food is that a couple of the dishes (Brussels sprouts and the rice with the roasted chicken dish) were over salted. Everything else was wonderful. Our server was amazing!
Our server, Scott, and sommelier, Chris, were both very knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive. And, the food was excellent!
Our waiter scott was awesome. Excellent service !!
Service and food were great as were the cocktails. I was a little surprised at how casual the patrons were at such a nice restaurant. T-shirt and shorts and flip flops for a fine dining experience really takes away from the ambiance. I wore a sports coat and dress slacks. I would have expected the men to at least wear collared shirts and slacks. Maybe it’s a generational difference.
Great time with my daughter and wife celebrating a birthday!!!
Thank you so much!!!!
The best steak I have eaten in a long time. Wait staff was out of this world.
Superb food and service, really enjoyable, felt a little rushed..
The service and food was excellent. Our server suggested an excellent bottle of wine.
Food was delicious. My steak was so tender even well done. The corn is a must. The bacon that is put in the corn and amc and cheese is to die for. They rendered all the fat out and just made it so delicious. I would come just for the corn with bacon. Only thing I would improve is the menu wasn’t updated online so we came expecting to get one thing but had to choose something else because it was taken off the menu a month prior and online it wasn’t updated yet.
This was our second visit this spring while visiting friends in Austin. Everything about this visit was as good as the first with the small exception of the fact on the first visit, for our split plate filet entree the second plate came out prepped with a serving of the crab Oscar topping and asparagus spear. This time simply a bare plate; but the perfectly cooked and flavorful steak, ample portion of topping and perfectly done asparagus were as before. The fried quail app is very tasty and the wedge salad is delish. Great service.
Ambiance was terrible, the music was loud classic rock and was completely not romantic. The food quality was terrible and extremely overpriced. Broccolini was overly smoked. There were no linens on the tables, yet they try to pretend to be a high end restaurant. Furthermore, the bathroom toilets didn’t flush and was a mess.
It was most disappointing anniversary we have ever had and we will never return and will not recommend it to anyone.
We love high end restaurants, like Perry’s, Jeffries, Eddie Vs. but if you want the best steak in Austin, go directly to Vince Young’s Steakhouse. This was our 3rd trip in 6 weeks with different friends and family, and we are there to share the steaks. My gorgeous lady had the lobster rolls for the second time, after she spoke about them every day since our last visit. I had the quail, light and crispy with a peach/ bacon/ pepper sauce that was being picked up with the quail plate, and I said please leave THAT sauce on this table. Everyone had the filets and I had the wagu beef from a farm right here in Texas. I will have it again in two weeks. ( smile) The waitstaff was very attentive, and things appeared right after we requested them. Chris, a manager who helped select our wine, is always making sure everyone is good, my friend had a wine question, Chris quickly got to him, and they had a 5 minute discussion, on a Saturday night, at 7:30, with a packed house, who takes care of their guests like that anymore ? Vince Young does.
Would have been all 5* if they didn’t charge for the bread. That’s tacky. Everything else was great.
College Graduation dinner celebrating and toasting our daughter!
Excellent steak, and the scallops were tender and delicious! Everything was perfect!
The staff were amazing. The food was great! Can’t ask for more.
Food was great!
We were looking for a place to unwind and have a nice dinner. Everything from the service, food, and ambiance was fabulous!
We were so looking forward to trying this restaurant but were very disappointed. Our reservation was a 5:00 PM but the valet wasn't there yet so we just parked and told the hostess that they could send the valet to get our keys. Our waiter took them to the valet but then one of them came in asking for our keys. Strange start. We started with the charcuterie plate which was actually excellent. We asked the waiter for more bread which we never got, my husband ordered a salad which he never got. He ordered the rib eye which was tough and chewy and their steak knives are not very sharp which made cutting the steak difficult. My filet was tender but still not easy to cut with the dull steak knife. Both steaks were properly cooked but nothing outstanding. The mushrooms were nothing special but the brussel sprouts were great. Our waiter was attentive and friendly but all in all it was a disappointing night out.
Wonderful food, service and ambiance. Our waiter was very attentive and extremely helpful, the support staff was equally as exceptional. The steaks were tender, very tasteful. The sides were perfectly prepared. It was easy to get to and we would recommend it to anyone traveling to Austin to visit and enjoy the experience. We will definitely return when we visit Austin again.
Great ambiance, waiter and most of all food. I would like to add the waiter communicated and checked on us without us feeling like he was sitting with us.
Outstanding way to celebrate Mother’s Day! I really appreciated it.
The steak was delicious. But I felt it was overpriced, just my opinion. But overall the atmosphere was nice.
Its all about the personalized service and attention to detail. The hostess calls to confirm the reservation and details of the reservation. Drinks at the bar, no pressure to be seated. Wait staff friendly, knowledgeable, and unobtrusive. Perfectly aged and prepared steaks - the best in Austin. Exceptional!
Pretty much perfect experience, from the reservationist who let us in before hours to look at the space, to the sweet waiter. The hostesses were lovely. The food was fantastic. The desserts were to die foe
Very interesting and attractive decor. Missed pictures of Vince Young in action though. Food and service were excellent. It was a lovely dining experience to celebrate my 80th birthday.
The last time we visited Vince Young’s steakhouse, we had tickets to see Jeff Dunham at the Erwin Center. The portions were so large that I had to leave about half my steak on the plate, an absolute tragedy, seeing as how it’s the BEST steak in Austin. This time we brought friend to experience the mouthwatering fare. My wife has some food allergies, and the waiter came back time after time with questions and suggestions, and his service was impeccable. We all had steaks, my friend Simon took his first bite and his eyes rolled back in his head, and all he said was, Wow! Oh my....Another converted steak eater. We had the quail and lobster rolls as an appetizer, then I got to eat my entire steak, with very generous sides. Try the bacon with corn. Trust me. We followed up with wonderful desserts, and my friend told me he had been cooking steaks in various ways for 30 years, and never had gotten the fantastic flavor of his ribeye like he had here. Again, they are the absolutely best steaks in Austin. Period.
The food was very good. Service was excellent. Nice wine list.
