About Vinaigrette - Santa Fe
Vinaigrette is a chic and green Santa Fe bistro that raises the "salad bar" with bold and delicious entrée salads. Featuring innovative flavor combinations and the option to add savory protein accompaniments like diver scallops, lemon-herb chicken or grilled hanger steak, these tantalizingly hearty yet healthy creations allow for guiltless and delicious eating at the same time. Much of the restaurant’s organic produce is grown on owner Erin Wade's 10-acre Nambe farm, Los Portales, harvested within hours of arriving at Vinaigrette's kitchen. When not grown at the farm, the restaurant strives to source local and organic ingredients. As one local publication put it "Eating well never tasted so good."

I’ve eaten at The Vinaigrette in ABQ many times so was excited to stop here on my way to Ojo Caliente. Sadly, our server (Jack) was in a grumpy, bad mood. Grunted more than spoke. One of our party asked if he was having a bad day and he didn’t respond. His way of being ruined the mood. Good food as always but not so good that’s it worth putting up with a bad attitude.
I have been coming to Vinaigrette frequently for 4 years. During that time
the quality of the offerings and availability of items from the menu have
declined. No bread (all out), warm table water, desert availability sparse,
wine list expensive by the glass and small portions, the available wine
often not available from the menu. Inside the noise is very very high;
outside delightful venue. I no longer dine there in the winter due to the
noise level. I would recommend with cautions.
Unfortunately, this visit did not live up to previous ones. My Cesar salad was a mix of sad looking romaine and a small piece of chicken. My date's steak on his Cesar had to be replaced with a less dried out one. They did apologize and comped us his steak and two very refreshing cucumber drinks.
We had been in SF for a couple of days and were in the mood for something a little different for an evening meal. My wife had mushroom soup and kale and black bean nachos. The shared soup was very good and she said the nachos were delicious, but kale on nachos? I had an absolutely delicious frisee with lardons, duck confit and a poached egg. A wonderful combination. Carrot cake and lemon cheesecake for desert. If your looking for a break from Mexican and Italian food give this place a try.
Very disappointing. I have eaten here since it opened and have loved it. However, this time my Greek salad had 2 olives and virtually no feta. The cucumber and the tomatoes were tasteless. It came with 4 very small shrimp that were so over cooked they were like rubber. Also for those of us that are local to Santa Fe and have supported the restaurant they need to change up and add some new dishes.
Was handed menus and pointed to a table to seat ourselves then waited for over 15 minutes to see a waiter or even get water. Another 15 to order. The place was only about half full.
The service people were kind but we had to chase them down to get drinks and other things, so made the experience a lot more work than we would have preferred.
Outstanding, particularly for outside/patio dining. Inside it quickly gets very noisy when 1/2 or more full.
Easy to make a reservation, or not usually necessary. Interesting salad creations and superb dressings. The mushroom soup is about the best I have ever tasted.
Hibiscus tea awfully good too.
This is always a great option for a healthy meal. I never get tired of the Omega Salad with the trout. It's a filling meal that you never have to feel guilty about. The wine list covers the bases.
Seating in the outdoor area is a wonderful place for a summer meal. Parking can be a problem. Give yourself some extra time to find a spot during the summer season.
This place is cool! Certainly not fancy but it has a nice vibe and the salads are truly excellent. My companion and I each had one of their large salads with protein (tuna for 1 and shrimp for the other) added and we were both extremely satisfied. Wine list is small but interesting. So an excellent choice for a casual meal.
The restaurant had to open late because of a nearby bomb threat. But they expedited our service, prepared fresh and delicious entrees and stayed on top of the service in order to help us stay on schedule for a play we were attending that evening. The menu is diverse and all the food is fresh and arrives in a very appealing presentation. We highly recommend this restaurant.
We love Vinaigrette... have been going there for years... but lately, service has been almost too fast upon arrival / dinner delivery but then non existent with requests for a 2nd glass of wine, bringing the bill, seeing if anyone would like bread, etc. The noise level can get pretty high, too, especially if the rowdy rock background music is left on with a full restaurant! But the salads are delicious, the staff are friendy, and the place has a good vibe, once you get past the parking stress!
We live out of town, made these reservations - drove into town and THEY WERE CLOSED! I have been going to Vinaigrette for many years and their customer service is just getting worse and worse. This really was over-the-top rude though. The salads are always good but this was the last straw, you lost me as a customer forever.
