Vinaigrette - Santa Fe
This is my go to place when I want a salad. They have a wonderful variety and you can add a fish or meat protein as an option. It has a nice, casual atmosphere. I also like that is it is open from lunch through dinner. Great place for early dinner or late lunch. They also have nice beverage options.
It was delicious as it always is. That is one of the best things about Vinaigrette—the consistently tasty and well-prepared food. Wait staff are always friendly and competent.
We love to dine here. In the summer time you can sit outside on the patio and it is like a little vacation at the end of the day. The tuna melt is amazing!
Place needs noise suppression. It is too loud to hear your dinner conversation.
Otherwise, all is good about it.
Such a lovely dinner outside on the patio, under the trees, a glass of wine and a lovely Eat Your Peas Salad. We had a wonderful, casual, easy schmeasy meal.
The "tuna" salad had no tuna except for the grilled filet on top, which we ordered as an "extra"- it had the cherry red look from carbon monoxide- maybe not unusual in the high desert.
The greens were fresh and well prepared.
Seemed expensive compared to other exellent alternatives.
We ate at Vinaigrette twice during a 3night visit to Santa Fe last year and wanted to go back. Everything was just as good and it looked like the had expanded their menu. We wanted to go back for our second and last night this year but found they are closed on Sunday.
The food and service have always been good and it is very pleasant sitting outside under the trees. It’s also very easy on the wallet.
We sat outside in the front porch where we had a calm dinner under a beautiful sunset.
Our salads were super fresh and very well balanced in flavors and taste.
Great service too!!
This is a place I will return if traveling back to Santa Fe.
Exceptional, fresh produce. Beautiful combinations. Loved it!
Delicious and fresh food every time! Fantastic salads and great desserts too.
Fresh salads with very personable service. Generous portions and high quality. Be sure to ask for the bread ! My only criticism is the music inside was too loud. We ended up sitting outside for that very fact. It is not necessary to turn the volume up so high that it becomes a nuisance to customers and uncomfortable. Again the food and service was excellent. I’d go back soon !! But outside
The food is excellent and not over-priced for the area. The intimate courtyard in the rear of the restaurant was tree shaded and pleasant, and the wait-staff was professional and all had personality.
Very much enjoyed the patio seating prior to attending the Santa Fe Opera. Love the Cuban torta accompanied with a Greek salad.
So, I really want to like this place. However, I have now been twice and it just misses the mark. I love casual, but the service is unprofessional and you leave there unsatisfied.
When they ‘ran out of rolls’ our server offered to ‘get us some sourdough’ which turned out to be freshly grilled s/d bread. It was beautifully presented and just yummy.
All dishes ordered were generous and delicious.
Can’t wait to go back
We've had great meals in the past. Service and food weren't great this time.
Vinaigrette used to be one of our go-to restaurants here in Santa Fe. But I am sorry to say that the quality of the salads and toppings seems to have declined steadily over the past two years. The salads we had on this last visit was limp, and the fish I had put on top was severely overcooked and dry. We asked for bread (this was 7:00 pm early in the week) and were told that the kitchen had run out of bread at noon. Why the kitchen ran out of a staple at noon on a weekday and also was unable to restock that afternoon is a mystery. I was holding off writing a negative review, hoping each time I ate there that the fare would improve on my next visit. Sadly, this has not yet happened. and I hope ownership will acknowledge the problems and take the steps necessary to return Vinaigrette to the very good restaurant it used to be.
We are regulars for last 4 years. Creative and intelligent menu. Good for vegans and all others. Very modern attitude and not pretentious. Our go to place in Santa Fe. Also live in Bay Area and this cafe would be great in SF, Marin, or Berkeley/ Oakland
Very nice. Great service and a relaxing place. Great food!
Court is a delightful place for dinner. The menu is interesting, imaginative. Everything our group ordered was yummy.
We went for dinner. Light, healthy fare. Seasonal salads were fresh and delicious. Everything is good from speciality drinks (both alcoholic and herbal tonics) to salads, soups, and sandwiches. Salads had recommended add-on proteins (steak, Salmon, scallops, etc). Outdoor patio is lovely for lunch or dinner.
My husband and I sat outside at a table on the patio behind the restaurant. It was breezy and fairly quiet. We each ordered the nicoise salad, a seasonal special. Unfortunately the entire salad was room temperature, and did not taste fresh and vibrant like in most restaurants...and the potatoes were undercooked and hard.
Our waitress was very helpful, but seemed a little frazzled because they were understaffed the night we were there.
Lovely patio to enjoy beautifully prepared and delicious salads, enhanced by pleasant waitress.
We made a reservation using Open Table but when we arrived, the person “greeting” us acted as if the reservation was more of a nuisance and even not taken very seriously. Luckily a tank opened up out in their patio, which was very nice. Our server was pleasant but also seemed a tad bit put out at first; when we asked for bread he said they were all out but then brought a full basket. Hm.
Overall the food is consistently good and I enjoy this restaurant very much.
We love this restaurant. This is a spot that I go to with my husband or with my friends. The salads are great and to sit outside is like a little vacation at the end of the day.
In a city with many great restaurants, Vingrette standout as a unique place to go for a great light meal. It's a salad place full of unique combinations that guarantees you will find something you will love.
Lovely on the patio, drinks were great, service was spot on. Nicely cooked scallops. But I thought the greens in my salad were a little old and since the main offering is salad with some protein, that was disappointing. I still love the place and the concept. It’s my go to place with visitors when we need a break from NM cuisine so with certainly try again.
Awesome food as always! Great wine list. Our server was delightful.
Vinaigrette always exceeds expectations // George is a great waiter and the food is creative and healthy //
FUN evening //
While I would still go back Vinaigrette, I would not recommend OpenTable to a friend. When My friends and I arrived at Vinaigrette, there was no reservation for us, or at least the staff did not acknowledge one. The restaurant was busy and the bar hostess told us that it was basically first-come-first-served. We decided not to wait for a table, rather, we went to another restaurant and had a very enjoyable meal!
This is an excellent restaurant. We've been customers every time we visit Santa Fe ever since it opened.
It took 15 minutes for anyone to take our drink order and 30 minutes before we had our drinks on the table.
Food and service were fantastic! I had the Kale Casaer Salad with Scallops-yum! the port/lemonade spritz was also better than I imagined. I will be back...
Parking is awful. Overpriced for salad. My bill was 30 for a small cup of soup, salad and no drink, which to me seemed a bit pricey. It felt small and cramped. Overall I wasn't that impressed.
The choices of creative, delicious salads are numerous at Vinaigrette. Always fresh and with well-paired protein options.
In the summer, when the patio is open, it is one of my favorite restaurants. I usually love the ambiance of restaurants in old houses, but this one can get quite loud inside. Also, there are some tables with bench seating, so be sure to request one with chairs, if that is your preference - and one against a wall if you want less noise.
They are consistently good and their salads are always very fresh.
Best place for outstanding salads. Choose a protein if you want. Come early or make a reservation. A not to miss place in Santa Fe.
Our salads were delicious but the service was terrible. It seemed to be just us - others were getting their food on time.
We had dined at Vinaigrette several times during previous visits to Santa Fe. We were currently here with family and had raved about this restaurant. We went there our last night together and were horrified with the food and the service. Three out of four of us ordered the pea soup. I must say it was delicious, and the only positive portion of the evening. The macaroni and cheese was horrible. Kraft’s version is much better.
And, my husband had to ask 3 times for his kale and black bean nachos before it arrived toward the end of the meal. And, part of my dinner landed in my lap when served. We left quite annoyed.
Because my husband and I were staying across the street, we decided to give it another chance the next evening. We had to ask for bread. The salads were good...not great. And, our waitress (different from the night before) treated us with indifference as if we didn’t matter.
There will not be another visit. I cannot recommend this restaurant.
