Vin Santo- Wisconsin
This is my husband’s favorite spot for Italian food. We have been to Italy Sicily and southern Italy . You’re menu is as nice We love the quaint Atmosphere and the service is friendly. We will be back soon Keith and Terrie from Albany Wisconsin
Shrimp Gabriella was excellent, wife’s Chicken pasta dish had dry chicken with no flavor. Everything else was good.
We’ll be back! Delicious meal, comfortable atmosphere. Thank you!
We always look forward to dinners at Vin Santo... One of our absolute favorite places to enjoy fine dining in the madison area.
The food and service was great.
The food was mediocre at best. The restaurant, though small, was really loud. The cannoli were awful. The sauce for the Pollo Tuscano was so thin and there was so much of it I thought it was a bowl of soup. The chicken in the dish tasted boiled and completely unseasoned. The mushrooms were thin slices and tiny. My husband’s ravioli were tasteless.
Food was excellent, but coffee was disappointing especially with such a great bread pudding
Great local restaurant! Have and will continue to recommend to friends and family.
Arguably the best Italian food outside of Europe. No joke
We were here 3 years ago, and same service and excellant food as before.
We’ve been there several times over the years. Vin Santo is one of our favorite restaurants and THE favorite Italian restaurant in Madison. Food, service, staff, including the owners, and ambiance are exceptional.
Excellent food! Homemade Tiramisu is their best kept secret! Anyone in Madison, should totally check this place out. Madison’s hidden Italian gem ❤️ Highly recommend and will definitely come back!
We are regular Vin Santo customers and we have never been disappointed. Always great food and service.
Amazing food, amazing people. We always love spending our family’s August birthdays celebrating here. The bread pudding is worth getting dessert!!
Food was great, only complaint is the bread they serve is cold and very hard. Service could have been better. The staff wasn't very attentive either. Other than that I enjoy the it.
Never disappointed. Great food and great service in a relaxed atmosphere.
Another great meal here and trying something new to me which I highly recommend trying is :
Ravioli al Vin Santo -
"Fresh raviolis stuffed with spinach, ricotta, pecorino, and artichoke hearts served in a robust sun-dried tomato cream sauce"
As always, Vin Santo was great. And don't miss the tiramisu or (famous) bread pudding desserts.
Food is excellent with large portions. We felt rushed. Waitress seemed in a hurry. Specials were described very fast. They removed plates very quickly. I had to tell them I was still eating.
Love this family gem. Such high quality.
Fun time at Vin Santo. We had terrific food, reasonably priced. Nice service. Save room for desserts which are fantastic (and huge!).
Food is always terrific. Would like to see more Chardonnay options by the glass
The service and food was fantastic!
I also appreciate the efficiency of Open Table. I had to change my reservation because of bad weather and it was very easy to do.
Dinning room experience from being to close to other tables, chairs and tables uncomfortable and needing updating, and table setting presentation and cleanness cold have been better.
Appreciate local ownership. Our waiter recommend splitting salads instead of ordering 1 per person before our entrees. It reduced our bill and the size and his tip, but was much appreciated. The food was wonderful, and my out of town friend commented that the Italian sausages in his entree were among the best he had ever had.
awesome service, huge proportions, great atmosphere. Would love to go there again!
My rut at Vin Santo is over. We love the lasagna and the Italian sausage with pasta that we usually default to ordering those two items. I don’t know if my wife will stop ordering the lasagna but the eggplant dish was so good I will have to rotate the sausage and the eggplant every other visit.
Service was very attentive but the quality of the food was average at best. Portions were large but not very flavorful. Caprese salad was uninspiring, bruschetta had limited seasoning, and the chicken marsala was undercooked. Server attempted to make everything right by having the kitchen redo the dish. A+ for effort. Ambiance was quite poor. Everything needed an update. After reading generally strong reviews we were negatively surprised.
A gem of a restaurant in every way.
Always a great dining experience. We especially enjoy the overall ambience.
It was fine
Always trust the specials! The chefs are fantastic. Its a small venue, so be sure to try and make a reservation.
Authentic and delicious. Range of seafood pasta Best of Madison. Tiramisu to die for!
Decent food, large portions but our waiter was arrogant and the owner was rude and would not accept our $10 Open Table reward MasterCard voucher after we spent over $200 on dinner celebrating my husband’s birthday. I explained to her that it was worth $10 and it wasn’t money coming off the total bill and that all she had to do was enter it like a credit card. Her response was “I am unwilling to do that”. We left with a bad taste in our mouth and won’t return.
Consistently yummy food, small intimate atmosphere, and delightful servers.
We were celebrating the graduation of our daughter from the University of Wisconsin. Everyone had a delightful dinner. Incredible food, very large portions, i’m just glad that I shared several choices. The waiter had us from the minute he came over to our table. Good sense of humor without being too much. Great recommendations and fabulous timing. We all had a wonderful time. Thank you
Consistently awesome place for dinner. Great food, service, and ambiance
As always, the food was excellent and plentiful and the ambiance cozy, with a full crowd on a Saturday evening. You can’t go wrong dining at Vin Santo. It’s a Middleton jewel.
