Nice place owner was very involved and helped us find a good drink and app.
Nice place for quiet conversation. Owner was nice enough to recommend other
alternative spots in Skippack for after dinner drinks

Worst meal ever! Should have taken note of the reviews. Appalling in every way. Cost, presentation, concept, service a joke. Pears in Gorgonzola was a runny wet mess; hummus was indeed like dry sand; sangria was tasteless and had zero fruit. PLEASE CLOSE DOWN! You are a travesty for Skippack dining.

I enjoyed this quaint place & the friendly staff. ( Tess & Daphne) I enjoyed joining the fab musician Scot Silber & look forward to visiting again! I have a number of friends in the area that will join me in the future! Tess..."Black Horse & a Cherry Tree? 😘"

The ambiance was wonderful, and the staff were courteous and friendly. The location is also great, in the heart of quaint Skippack Village. The pita bread pizza on special was delicious, but some of the food we ordered could have been better. (The hummus was very dry, but I'm sure that can be easily adjusted.) However, for the price, the portion sizes are reasonable.

The live entertainment was also good, parking was no problem, and the rooms are appropriately decorated. I had two glasses of Chardonnay, and I enjoyed them.

It was a wonderful place to celebrate a dear friend's birthday!

I noticed on the menu that brunch is offered, and I will be back to try it.

Thank you!

Good food, cozy venue. Drinks were good. Food was also very good. Portions a little small but that wasn't a deal breaker.

My husband and I tried this restaurant because we saw it from the road. The menu selection was limited but the drink selection was good. Atmosphere was cozy and the live music was a nice treat.

Service was terrible. We were there as a group of 6 for a special occasion, and the service turned this into an awkward experience. Food was mostly good, especially the dates that we had as an appetizer. That was the highlight. But we don't plan to go back again. If you go, ask to sit in the fireplace room. It looked like it had better ambiance than our table near the kitchen door. (Our server checked on our order by standing in the doorway and yelling into the kitchen.)

The first thing we noticed about Village Wine Cellar was the ambiance. The Christmas decorations were adorable - the perfect scene for a celebratory dinner. The wine list was really great- we actually liked the Cabernet Franc so much we bought a bottle to bring home! The tapas was great too- many yummy options that we enjoyed sharing. The entrees were just ok- nothing special about the options and they were actually cold when we received them. I would go back and just have wine and the small sharing plates. I probably would not go for an entree again. But we had an enjoyable time, and the service was great as well.
