Village Tavern Scottsdale Ratings and Reviews
Initial service was good. Food that was hot was very good. One in our party had a ribeye steak with baked potato. Potato was cold. It was replaced with another cold potato. Butter would not melt. Bread ordered before meal arrived. Never delivered. Server not around to replace potato for second time. Steak finished sans any baked potato. Mgr. informed. Comped us a free desert. Big deal. I apologized to my guests seeing as dining there was my idea.
The house salad—normally boring but not here— and the grilled meat loaf (enough for two to share) made the evening memorable. We splurged on the carrot cake which was just so-so. Suggest making a reservation.
We often take visitors to Village Tavern because they have a varied menu - sandwiches, big salads, entrees, etc. We also show up to sit in the bar after a movie. We have never had a bad experience or bad food.
food was excellent. always is. service very good. table ready at reservation time. $100 vouchers for $80 at costco so basically a 20% discount on food and drinks. booths for six people extremely roomy and comfortable. an excellent choice always.
Awesome as always. Brian, our server, accommodated the several requests we had. He kept the iced tea flowing (very important to me). Kept an eye on us but was not intrusive. Every time I have been to Village Tavern the experience has been stellar. Food has always been prepared correctly, service has been top notch, prices are reasonable. This is a real treasure. I love coming here.
This small chain has really got it all together. Great service, good quality food, and management is solid. They know their customer and it shows.
Try the Flatbread, all the delicious entree salads and my favorite the Berkshire Pork Chop. Be sure to make reservations .
I've been to Village Tavern many, many times and always enjoy it. My best friend was visiting from Milwaukee and she wanted to treat us so I immediately thought of Village Tavern. The food was excellent, the waiter was delightful and had great suggestions. My friend said the old fashion she had to drink was the best she ever had anywhere and she has traveled all over the world.
Great food. Friendly Staff.
Only one issue. I requested a table rather than a booth (70% are booths) when making the reservation on Open Table.
They advised me that in order to have a table, you must "CALL" the restaurant. They don't honor Open Table requests, and all of the tables had been reserved. When I asked to see a manager, he advised of the policy.....but they "just had a cancellation" We sat at a table and the two tables next to us were open. They were still open when we departed the restaurant 75 minutes later.
Things took a long time. For example, We spilled water and it took 12 min or so to finally get it cleaned up. My husband asked for ketchup and he ate half his meal before it finally came.
Food is always good. Service is very friendly. I like their veggie burger a lot. It's got a nice texture and flavor, not just a dry patty.
This is our everyday restaurant that we go to very often...its got great food...good value...and and efficient servers. Great neighborhood restaurant.
Onion soup is special...great steak at a decent price...and love their freisenet (sp??) champagne.
We had a nice dinner on a Friday evening. The place was packed even at 8:00 which was surprising for Scottsdale. Our server Holly was excellent and so were her co-workers who helped out.
Lots of wine by the glass choices.
Waitress was not very attentive, and brought out our entree literally 5 minutes after or salads that we had barely started eating. Lots of new servers recently, some good, some not. Management took care of most of our bill.... ask for Kristins section.... she’s the only waitress there that actually pays attention to her customers.
We had a great meal. Burger was gorgeous and delicious. Prime rib blackened was flavorful but a lot of fat and gristle that you sometimes get with prime rib. Still, I'd order it again. Service was excellent. They want to please and it shows!
We were there very early in the evening ... so quiet atmosphere... always a good meal!!!
Food was excellent, esp the Tuna tartar. Our waiter was top shelf. Very knowledgeable and personal.
