Village Tavern Scottsdale Ratings and Reviews
This was my opentable review for you - Colby was an awesome waiter - they should keep him! The hostess was even good this time - they have a problem with OpenTable and they don't honor your OpenTable if the reservation is made in less than an hour - which is so dumb - why even have the OpenTable app!!?? But, this time we were seated right away and it was a great experience - Colby was WONDERFUL - thank goodness, as we used to come here about once a week, but now we do about once every 2 months! The prime ribs are the best in Sdale - they need better side dishes though - I have always thought that - but it is SO good here! They have an AWESOME honey mustard dressing which I just discovered thx to Colby - I love this place when everyone is good like tonight. We will come more often again.
Our dinners were super! My husband loves the prime rib which is consistently perfect! Had a little issue with reservation, but that was because I. Hanged it from 4 to 5 the day of our dinner. Just a communication problem which was quickly remedied by the friendly staff! All was perfect and our waitress , Dana was wonderful!
We went early and found that it was crowded and quite noisy. It would be great if this restaurant tried to keep a little space for folks who wanted to talk while they ate! The food was well- priced and good. Our waitress was pleasant and very accommodating to our requests.
I chose the spot based on reviews from Open Table and was not at all disappointed! The menu options were broad and could hit any craving and the server was more than willing to give her recommendations. Speaking of our server, she was knowledgeable and engaging - always a great addition for the whole dining experience! From dinner to drinks to dessert, we loved it all and will definitely keep it on the short list of spots to return to when back in town (we were on a short gals trip - live in Ohio).
Disappointed. The Brushetta didn't come close to being as tasty as say the Grassroots restaurant and chicken salad was bland with large chunks of chicken that kept falling out of the bread. On the plus side, our waiter was EXCELLENT and enjoyed the atmosphere.
Restaurant grill hood was broken and they couldn't serve anything that needed grilled which is 75% of their menu. We were advised of this upon arrrival by a paper on the door, making it difficult to change plans when dinning with a 92 year old. A call from the restauant advising customers of their problem would have made me want to return, the way this was handled will put this restaurant at the bottom of my list
It was good but not great; new servers; no seasonal fruit with benedict brunch items as in the past; prime rib was tough, fatty & too rare since I ordered medium; will not be going back anytime soon since this was our second disappointment in our last two visits.
We were seated and ordered quickly and after 1 hour and ten minutes we still had no food!! Ridiculous. I can't believe that the waitress and management had no answer for this. Ruined our evening with our children who are (5 and 8). Left after 1 hour and 20 minutes to go to a competitor restaurant. Management has gone downhill since Paul left and the wait staff hasn't been the same. The only good waiter is Dylan! I go there all the time and this is by far the worst experience ever. I actually expected management to reach out to us but still haven't heard from them after 48 hours. Shame.
Your restaurant Village Tavern is my favorite in this metropolis.
Jesse our waiter was exceptional and very service perceptive.
I love the salmon fillet with rice and nicely cooked green beans,
for $13.95, a bargain.
Keep up the good work for our city, Richard Matthews
We had a new waiter (3rd day), so not the best service. He had to be reminded to bring the requested bread. Was not familiar enough with the menu to answer our questions, and messed up on one of our choices, but that was dealt with by another waiter and the missing sides brought out by a manager. Food was as tasty as usual, though.
I hadn't been here for several years and was very pleasantly surprised at how good and affordable the menu items we chose were. I was visiting with a friend who I hadn't seen for a while and it was great to be able to spend time visiting and have an attentive waitstaff who took care of our needs and let us visit as long as we wished without making us feel rushed.
Village Tavern is consistently good. We ordered chicken quesadillas, onion soup, and half a chicken salad sandwich. Everything tasted good, but the chicken salad had too much mayonnaise in it. Otherwise, we enjoyed our dinner. VT is a "go to" place for us. It is good and predictable. You will enjoy it.
