Village Tavern Scottsdale Ratings and Reviews
My wife and I were in Scottsdale for one week and we are three times at the Village Tavern . This visit was on our lasr night In town and the service, which is always very good was outstanding due to our server, Holly
We always go to the Village Tavern on Wednesdays for the 1/2 price wine. They always have some great wines to try and the food is always good. Portions are very large.
We have eaten here in a regular basis for a decade. Service was not good. Maybe it was her first day at work.
My burger was ordered with Swiss cheese and came instead with cheddar. I didn’t mention it. THIS MESSAGE IS MEANT TO BE PRIVATE. DO NOT POST!
Great waiter! even though we had a 6:30 slot they were able to fit us in at 5:30
Village Tavern is always a good spot. It can tend to be an older crowd but it's quiet, service is efficient but unobtrusive, food is always good, lots of options on the beverage menu with fine quality wines. Great portion sizes.
Sat outside. Fairly quiet for conversation. The meals were good but what you would expect. Service was above average. A little pricey relative to the menu.
We have been going to this restaurant for years and were always very happy, however, in the past year, we feel the quality of the food has gone down. It's just not as good as it used to be, and we find ourselves going there less and less. At first we thought it was just a "one-time" problem, as happens in all restaurants, however, after several more visits, things seem to be the same. I wish I could be more specific; it's just a matter of taste, quality and quantity.
This used to be our favorite restaurant. It still has good things going for it including friendly servers, great ranch dressing, good value. But our previously favorite meals now have been less than satisfactory.
Last 2 times the prime rib was incredibly salty. Whoever rubs the roast needs to back off by a lot. Our other fave has been the flank steak/london broil. It was incredibly chewy this time and when I mentioned it the next night to a friend, he said he had the same experience a month ago.
Marinate the flank steak and do a better job of dry rubbing the prime rib roast and we'll make it our favorite restaurant again
Tricky review as my steak was amazing! But my friends food wasn't good at all. She didn't eat it and I feel the server should have noticed or asked. I told my friend to say something but she was too nice. I was bummed bc I raved about this place that we had to go. I hate looking bad.
A favorite of mine as well as many of my friends. Consistently GREAT food!
What a FABULOUS restaurant! The food is DELICIOUS!!! You can’t miss with this place!
Village Tavern never disappoints. Service and food are excellent, but just know that it's going to be NOISY.
Loved you again Village Tavern! We enjoyed wine Wednesday with half price wine and tried a few recommendations from our server. So fun. I tried their new grouper Florentine and it was delish! Hubby had his birthday primerib med rare as ordered, and said out was very tasty. Then their signature butter cake with berries and icecream... wow.
Found Village Tavern via OpenTable while on vacation. Atmosphere was good. Food was delicious and the kids menu prices are exactly what kids meals should cost. Overall it was a great dining experience. If we make it back to Scottsdale, we will be back!
Went to dinner with friends they were paying so I didn’t complain much but my card salad was the worst thing I’ve ever eaten it actually had too much chicken in the letters were totally wilted with too much dressing. The pork sliders that my wife had the buns were so hard there almost like they were toasted but they gave us new ones but damage is already been done our friends didn’t complain too much about theirs but I think they had the same problem with the dried button on the Salmon sandwich. On the scale 1 to 10 my salad was a negative one
Friends drove one of my cars from Lake Tahoe to Scottsdale and wanted to take them out to a very nice casual dinner. They loved it!
We are regulars, but Saturday night the fish was burnt and tasteless , the service was “iffy”, we never got the extra order of French fries. The manager came by when we were finished and offered FF to take home- how stupid was that? Even the carrot cake was not fresh. All in all a very disappointing experience.
Our waitress was very attentive and efficient, Her name was Kristen. Manager was visible throughout dinner and working with his team. Great followup and teamwork by staff with replenishing H20 and other items. Would definitely return on my next trip to Scottsdale
Not happy with the service that evening. Waited for a table even with a reservation. Ordered a call drink and was poured a well drink. The waiter served rice rather than the French fries that were ordered. When asked for med. rare prime rib said they didn't have any and then served it. Very loud.
Village Tavern is a reliable option for meeting friends. I became familiar with them in Colorado and was very happy to find a location in the valley when I moved here. Food is consistently good (love the flank steak). Service was good, attentive, but not too attentive. I recommend the Village Tavern to all my friends.
First time at this restaurant and felt it was very good but vey pricey, $13.50 for a burger and fries! Service was good but not exceptional. We’ll return but this is not a regular place we will be dining.
