Village Tavern Pembroke Pines
We had to go to the Village as we are loyal customers and want to support them in every way during these trying times. As usual service excellent and Juan R. was terrific! Even though we felt we had the whole place to ourselves we wish that this whole situation would pass and get back to normal we love our wine down Wednesday! The Village never disappoints! Thanks again to Ed for stopping by to say hello and showing his appreciation as well, Ana and I will see you all again soon!
Normally this is my go to place to eat, however they changed the menu, ok so we tried something new, they burnt our first app which was mushroom, goatcheese and brie flatbread, that took forever to come out,the brie rine was so overwhelming I thought there was anchovies on it. Then brought my salad 3 bites in. I ordered braised meatballs which I have enjoyed many times except this visit. I got globs of cold cheese, they took it back and brought it out still not right, usually its brown and bubbling, not so much this time. We have eaten here on many occasions and never have had any issues. Service was ok, took a few minutes to get our servers attention, it was friday 3/13 after 8 so it wasn't terribly busy, many open tables outside. I don't really know what has changed, new chef maybe, but we won't bother going again. They did take the meatballs off the tab though. I used to really love this place, very disappointed we won't be returning.
The food was great! Had the crab dip, the filet and the crime brûlée, everything was perfect. Our server Jack was amazing! Friendly and very knowledgeable! He made great recommendations.
The entrees were good, service was good. The only disappointment was the side Cesar's salad. It was probably the worst I've had and I'm sorry that I did not send it back at the time. The lettuce was chopped finely like for a taco, there was not even a sprinkle of parmesan on it, and the croutons were stale.
Overall great experience
The food is amazing and service impeccable. Hats off to Flower who is always excellent!
Thank you Carlo!! Mike
Gluten free pasta was overcooked. The meal came out cold. The checks were incorrect. The margaritas were excellent. The server was friendly and accommodating. It was a nice ambiance.
The brunch is not good. Seems like they are not prepared in the kitchen. I ordered chicken and fries and the chicken was way over cooked and dry. My husband ordered their potatoes and they were awful. It was just big chunks of potatoes with nothing on them-no seasoning, and way under cooked. We both ordered Bloody Marys and it was terrible. They add salt to the rim. Usually, what's used is an old bay seasoning of some form, and the mix it self was plain with no spice at all.
Hi Jenny- I'm sorry that your Brunch experience wasn't great. We're usually MUCH better than that. I'd love to chat more about it and get you back in for a "do-over" as my Guest. Please reach out to me at 954-874-1001 so we can book your next Brunch reservation. Thanks for the feedback, Mike
Our boys came home for spring break from college for a few days and requested Village Tavern for Sunday Brunch before heading back. They enjoyed their prime rib 12 oz, looked wonderful. Hubby and I not so much- we had corn beef and hash and spinach and Mushroom omelette. The potatoes got sent back as they were cold and the new ones weren’t that hot but had to eat. They lacked seasoning and the onions were too cooked down, almost burnt tasting. Hubby told me later his wasn’t like the week prior as we ate their the Sunday prior. He had the same thoughts about the potatoes and for his dish the potatoes were the star of the dish, they also overcooked 1 of the two eggs so not over easy. So overall I think the chef/kitchen was off Sunday. Waiter was great!
Good Morning Tara! I'm so sorry that you and Hubby didn't have a GREAT brunch experience. I'm glad the boys did though. Please ask for me next time you are in and I'll make sure that everybody enjoys their meal Thanks for the feedback! Mike
We were six people, and we were seated right away, which was really nice. The waiter was very accommodating for taking care of that many orders for drinks, wine, salads and food. but everything came out correctly and we were not rushed at all. I found the food to be moderately priced. I didn't see the check so I'm really not sure about the drinks or the wine. We had dishes ranging from burgers to steak to specials. We did get a round booth as I request which was really nice so we could talk to everyone. We come from different ends of the county so it was a central and easy place to meet to get together for all of us. And it's really a pretty restaurant.
Thank you Sarina!!
The service was a bit slower than usual and the birthday that was placed in the reservation was not acknowledged at all. That was a bit disappointing.
I'm so sorry that we missed the Birthday celebration...I'd love to make it up to you. Please reach out to me at 954-874-1001 so we can plan a "do-over". Thanks for the feedback, Mike
Village Tavern is ALWAYS our go-to for special occasions, brunch, or a great dinner before a night on the town. The food is always delicious and service impeccable. There is not one "bad server" we have ever had coming here. Which is why they will continue always receiving our business!
Great service and the food was outstanding. The waitress kept our cups full and the food was the right temperature.
Thank you Diego!
The food was overall bland and tasteless (at least the brick chicken). While we would have loved to sit on the patio, the fact that they allow smoking out there made this no longer a choice. Plus, we have to walk by the smoking section going in and out of the restaurant. Whatever happened to no smoking 25 feet from a door? The server was lackadaisical and didn't seem to care about our dining experience. My wife that he was rude and abrupt.
Good Morning, I'm sorry that you didn't have a great experience here on Sunday. I'd love to talk more about the service if you wouldn't mind. I can be reached at 954-874-1001. I look forward to hearing from you. Thanks for the feedback, Mike
Loved brunch last Sunday and returning today as our college kids asked for brunch at Village before they leave today! Love this place
Always a great experience. The corn beef hash for brunch is the best I’ve ever had. Great place to eat. Great service.
Always good food and service. No pushing you to leave.
Getting together with family.
We had a 8:15pm reservation, I walked in at 8pm while my husband parked the car. I was pleasantly greeted by the hostess, told them my name and they said our table was ready!🤗 My husband came in and was so Happy because we didn't have to wait at all to be seated. Our waiter Juan was Awesome, was very knowledgeable about the menu and very attentive throughout the evening. The food was delicious! This is our 1st time having dinner, since we usually go for lunch. We will definitely be back for both!
Thank you!! Mike
Excellent meal and service tonight again. I had the brick chicken. I asked for green beans but didn’t want the mashed potatoes. Instead, I had sautéed mushrooms and onions with very little oil as requested. I’m beginning to crave this chicken dish as it is so flavorful. My friend had the Grouper Hemingway which she enjoyed. Service, as usual, was excellent.
Thank you Carol! Mike
Perfect loved iy
Always perfect. And huge thanks and recognition to Micah and Sara for outstanding service.
Always a pleasant experience. Reliable food, fair prices and attentive service. Flower was a very good server!
The manager corrected a problem. Good service. Didn’t choose the best dinner.
They took the charge off the bill
Super enjoyed our meal there. Food was prepared to perfection and the service was top rate
NICE SUNDAY AFTERNOON MEAL. FOOD WAS TASTY. SERVICE AS PROMPT
Our server was very attentive and responded quickly to our requests.
The brunch menu is a little too exotic but we found things we could eat. Cooking and presentation was good.
Great place with energetic ambiance. Food was very good considering how busy they were.
Jack was great Server. Good menu, very well prepared
The food is consistent here. Our server Diana was above average for sure. It might be a tad on the expensive side all things considered though.
Some portion of our food was cold, but the manager rectified it as soon as he heard about it. Thanks. Otherwise, it was great
Excellent place to dine this was our first experience dining here because we were from out of state
Wonderful in every way. We were surprised at how nice it was. We recommend it.
Thank You!! Mike
My boyfriend birthday, everything was great! Reservations were kept and staff excellent service. The birthday card was a plus. Thanks for making his day spectacular!
The best restaurant in South Florida.
Always a pleasure, always enjoyable.
Our server last night, Juan, was outstanding.
We had reservations for 2 and the family asked to join us. They accommodated us in every way.
It is obvious that the leadership goes above and beyond for everyone.
Janice & John Trageser
Thank you John! I'm sorry that I missed you and the Fam, but it looks like you had a great time. Thanks for the kind words and we'll see you again very soon. Mike
Server would disappear at times, hard to get him, the appetizer took very long to come out!. We got the appetizer right before our meal. We love dining here but the service was quite disappointing today.
Good Morning Alfredo, I'm sorry for the gaps in service. I'm glad that you know us to be better than that. Thanks for the feedback and we hope to see you again soon! Mike
