Village Tavern Broomfield Ratings and Reviews
We enjoyed the dinner for our anniversary. The manager was very nice and kind with champagne and desert for us. Only thing I didn't like , was no privacy, quiet spot for us to have a romantic dinner. There was kids across from us and the wait staff a few booths up from us. Pretty nosily. Was OK when we were first seated. But filled in. We loved our waitress, she was fun and attentive.
The restaurant is really nice and I like the open kitchen. It is a little on the expensive side for what you get, though, which is why I don't give it 5 stars. The service was excellent even though it was busy and the food was decent. They have a decent menu with some variety. I won't be a regular at this restaurant - it will be more for special occasions than casual dining.
The food was great. We were all just a little disappointed on how the service went. We were double charged for certain items that we were not supposed to be... The one steak was sent back because of how rare it was then was heated up to be dry on the outside and still having a pulse in the inner. We were all pleased with the food minus that hiccup. When we were all told the manager wanted to comp our desserts we were still charged and told it was just for the one steak that was cooked poorly. None of us would have ordered dessert had we not been told that and when would brought it to their attention we were told a different story. We did call today and went over the bill with a different manager and she was great and took care of the mistakes the previous older male manager whom was too incompetent to handle. Thank goodness for Christie!!! All in all, Food was great, Jessica H was horrible, Manager was a stickler, and Never reheat a $30 steak to make it dry on the outside and beating on the inside... Just cook a new one the way it was supposed to be done in the first place. Thank you Christie for all your help today.
Food was great, but service was terrible. Brandon was our server. Not sure if he had too many tables, people to wait on, or if he was slow. It took a while to get our water and first drink. Our food was delivered by someone else. We finished eating and not once did Brandon check to see how our food was or if we needed another drink. My drink was empty for 15 minutes. To top if off, he was rude and never apologized.
This chain restaurant is very nice-looking, and service is friendly, but the food was a major disappointment: I requested that my salmon be cooked medium and it came over-cooked and dry. Such a sad waste of seafood. The restaurant should train the cooks on how to do seafood or else take it off the menu. It was accompanied by a mushy couscous and veggie combo, but the green beans on the other side of the salmon was terrific: vibrant green, crunchy--very well cooked, as if by someone other than the person who ruined my salmon and the couscous. My husband's crab dip and Caesar salad were just okay.
This was my first time at Village Tavern and I was very happy. The service was fantastic and the staff were very friendly. We asked about gluten free and were given menus, which had some great selections. Our meal was delivered very quickly and was delicious. The filet was cooked to perfection and was very tender. My friend's ribeye was delicious as well. I don't think the price was that bad either, as I've spent and equal amount at chain restaurants. I saw other things I would like to try so I'll be going back.
