Village Tavern Broomfield Ratings and Reviews
Village Tavern is one of our favorites when we want to stay close to home. They were very helpful when our reservation had to be moved earlier especially since it was Valentines day.
We have always enjoyed the food, being near the fireplace or out on the patio during the summer.
I normally love Village Tavern, but this evening I ordered filet, and I had to send it back because it was still raw inside. It took almost 20 minutes to get it back, and it was on a weekday.
I also signed up online for their newsletter, and received a coupon for 25% off my entree. I printed the coupon and brought it in, but the manager said I had to show it on my phone to get the discount. The whole process was really frustrating and totally put a damper on the evening.
Wow, 2nd time we've eaten at Village tavern for dinner. The first time the experience was awesome, perfect. The 2nd....well it didn't go so well.
Service is always great, no complaints there. However, our dinner took an hour to get. Again, no bid deal, we are in no rush.
The BAD. The steak came out raw. We sent it back. It came back raw. By then I've already eaten dinner so now my wife is just eating alone.
The biggest bummer here was that the manager, who did come by many times to apologize did not comp the steak. I'm ok with getting it wrong once. But twice??????/ If you fail twice, I'm sorry, the right thing to do is comp it.
Great restaurant with terrific ambiance , food and service. My Prime Rib was cooked perfectly and was delicious, but arrived barely warm. My baked potato was cold and would not melt the butter. The wait person did a great job in replacing the baked potato and offered to replace the entire meal. Fantastic service and a great recovery from a small problem. Best Calamari EVER!
We chose Tavern V based on the reviews. We were celebrating our anniversary (which I expressed in advance). The atmosphere was very noisy and unattractive for any “date” night. It had a noisy cafeteria feel. We felt the waitress was rushed to get us in and out. The food was not worth the price. The flavor of my halibut was good BUT was SO over cooked and nearly burnt on the sides and chewy texture. My husband ordered the salmon...nothing special. Again...we had higher expectations due to the reviews. Picked the wrong place for a nice anniversary dinner.
I know it was a Friday night and we understood it would be busy however, our waitress never came to take our meal order after she turned in our appetizer order. She did come back to ask if we wanted another drink and then quickly left before we could order food. The bourbon and coke my husband ordered took 20 minutes to get to the table and by the time he received it the ice had melted. Waitress said the bar was backed up. We went out for my husbands birthday and I wish the waitress would have actually visited our table a little more frequently. We had to flag her down to take our food order. Food was totally awesome, waitress not so much.
The service and food were excellent. It was New Years Eve and the hostess was a bit grumpy and when she greeted us (although it was early, 5:30) she assumed we had walked in rather than had reservations. She said, “We’re full but street walk-ins can still be served in the bar.” When I told her we had reservations, she seemed put out and had the seater place us by the kitchen. I asked the seater if we could be further from the kitchen and he was able to move us.
We have been to Village Tavern about 5-6 times, and on this latest visit, the temp of the food really stood out. My fries were cold as soon as they got to the table, and my salmon sandwich, although tasty, could have been warmer too. My husband's black beans were also cold, but his steak on the same plate wasn't (he asked for new beans and received fresh, hot beans). The kitchen must do a better job of keeping the food warm before it gets to the table - something is definitely off in their timing and execution in the kitchen.
We hadn’t been to Village Tavern in awhile and after our last experience decided we need to eat at VT more often. Food was great, drinks were perfect and they accommodated special requests with no problem. Our server, Kegan, was excellent! We will definitely be back!
Went on a Tues night for our anniversary. It was extremely loud, mediocre service that never checked in on us, had to flag her down multiple times, had to ask for bread. Prime rib was flavorless and overpriced especially with no bread, salad, etc., as part of the price. Won't recommend this place any more.
