First time there...we’ll definitely go back !!
Reliable good food in a pleasant atmosphere.
Unfortunately, restaurant limits Open Table Reservations. We rushed to arrive at the appointed time since the requested time 15 minutes later was not available. We, along with many others, were forced to wait for a few minutes even though the restaurant was well under 1/2 occupied.
Even by the time we left, the restaurant was not totally full. I don't see why reservations were not accepted 15 minutes later and why the lobby was full of people waiting for tables when the restaurant had dozens of unoccupied tables!
I have dined here many times and this was the worst experience. It took almost an hour and a half to get our food. All we ordered were burgers. Two well done one with sweet potato fries and one with regular fries. The other burgers were rare. The well done burgers were raw and we received the wrong fries. Clearly our order was never put it because once i was finally able to find our server he said it will be right out and it came out raw. Very unhappy, very bad experience.
took over an hour to get our food. Food had very little taste
Slow, inattentive service. Server knew nothing about local beer selection. Undercooked chicken and burgers not done as requested. Cold fries. No one came back to check for refills.
We have enjoyed all our visits to Village Tavern. This night was no exception. We were celebrating my wife’s birthday with good friends. The service and the food were excellent. Great time!
Good food and good service, what more could you ask for? Portions are generous, will definitely return.
Only negative was that the bar was out of several beer selections, including the only IPA on draft and Mich Ultra.
The server made a nice gesture and comped one of my drinks because of this, which was unexpected and very nice of her.
As always, everything was perfect. One of our favorite restaurants. Everything on the menu is just delicious.
This was the first time in many visits, that dinner was not up to its usual goodness.
One of our guests, could not eat his onion soup ( much too salty). The salads were not up to par.
All was good except I did not get credit or points for using Open Table
Waiter didn’t know soup of the day which wasn’t a problem except he sorta seemed like it was an imposition to go and find out. He served my friend her beverage and completely forgot mine and I needed to ask for it. Food was decent but not great.
We eat here all the time. have never had a bad meal or bad service. always accommodate us when someone in our party is in need of special seating or assistance. It is our go-to place because there is something on the menu for everyone. the best hamburgers and fish and chips.
Almost everything about this restaurant is very good to excellent for a "go to" place. Its most annoying feature is that they charge extra for a baked potato. Even if your meal comes with fries or cole slaw and you want to replace those items with a baked potato instead. And your server does not inform you of this either. Never experienced this at any other restaurant and it is annoying enough that sometimes we avoid going here - its not the money but the principle!
Village Tavern for dinner proved to be a very pleasant evening. I had fresh tilapia with spinach which was delicious, others had pizza, salad, and kid food. All were quite good. Dessert of butter cake was yummy and the service was excellent! Only problem was I wanted to eat outside and this location doesn't involve themselves with that. It is apparently first come first serve YOURSELF. We had 7 people and would have had to put the tables together ourselves, hovering over prospective people finishing up. Needless to say we went inside. Oh, one more thing, I dropped a jacket in the bathroom, returned promptly, and it was gone, as in stolen. I was disheartened and the hostess desk didn't seem to care.
The food was excellent-my family got the filet with a great mushroom sauce and I got the teriyaki chicken. We also got crabcake appetizers. I like that the menu is so varien-fish, steak, pasta, sandwiches- and that the food is excellent without going too out of the box. It is a little pricey-it adds up quickly-other than that, the experience was very good.
I had a Asian tuna salad which was very good. My friend had a meatloaf and he said it was dry. He had the crispy chicken in the past and that he liked a lot.
Enjoyable meals. Somewhat noisy. Waitress spilled water on my wife. She gave her a free drink. Very nice
My favorite place to eat. Have tried something new each time and have never been disappointed.
As always everything was very good
Have eaten here many times. Very consistent food and service.
I don’t like to write negative reviews especially for village tavern. We eat there at least once a month but this week was not good. The service was very slow and my potion was smaller than usual . I told the manager that the evenings was not up to their standards. But she said nothing. We will go back again and hope that was an off night
Easy, comfortable atmosphere with a big menu. Something for everyone. Good food at a good price.
Had dinner with out of town guests. Everyone loved the restaurant. We eat there often. It's a great, fairly priced local restaurant. Only problem is parking. Would love valet parking again.
Good food, good service and they accept reservations.
First time visiting Village Tavern. Food was great. Waiter attentive. Could tell it is a place people return again and again. We definitely will.
Great waiter, nice table, food and dessert all enjoyed by all. We had a good time. Thank you. SusanC
Eastet Brunch was very nice and enjoyable
First time here and everything was outstanding! We had Cat as our waitress and she was amazing! Very friendly and efficient. Great job! We’ll definitely be back.
We are always pleased with the service and the food here.
Food was delicious. Waiter gave good suggestions. He even took my drink back when it wasn’t made properly. Told them it was my birthday and got a complementary scoop of ice cream with a candle.
We arrived early enough to take advantage of the early bird menu. Very limited choices but good value., however The shrimp scampi I chose was not typical and was lacking in flavor however the shrimp were tender and pretty good. My husband selected off of the regular menu and his salmon was delicious. Our waiter, Nick, was attentive and very accommodating . Village Tavern has become a go to for us as the food is generally consistently good and being able to make reservations in Florida during season is a big plus!!!
We love this place. Menu so versed
It was excellent!
The food was surprisingly mediocre verging on bad. My fries tasted frozen and the turkey burger was a thin patty. Meh.
We enjoyed our time there. Our waiter, Nick, was responsive and excellent. The ambiance was excellent. My Hemingway Tilapia was just okay-needed more seasoning. But Tilapia is always BLAND. That night the Mussels were just okay, not their usual 'excellent'.
We took our granddaughter to lunch. My husband ordered meat loaf which wasn’t warm enough. I had a shrimp noodle salad that was advertised as spicy but it wasn’t really. It was good but not what was advertised. Our granddaughter was happy with her chef salad!
We’ve been to Village Tavern many times .
Extensive menu .
I usually have Thai chicken salad or spaghetti squash with vegetables and they are always great.
Another person got chicken Marsala and it was made with a cream sauce.
He should have returned it as it was unappealing and did not taste
Another person was not happy with the chicken Parmesan .
I was very disappointed .
We met friends at a halfway spot and were pleasantly surprised since we had no idea what to expect. Everyone got something they liked from a large and varied menu, changes were accommodated and the service was pleasant.
Best cheeseburger I've had in a long time. Great classical guitarist enhanced the dining experience. Would definitely recommend this restaurant
