The Oscar I had was phenomenal! Cooked perfectly & the flash seared calamari w the peanut sauce was just too good.
Food was delicious-service a little slow but overall a good experience!
This was our first trip to The Village Tavern. I had the Colorado Chicken and the taste was amazingly good, my wife had the filet mignon and said it was good to perfection, cooked perfect, very tender and the favor was perfect. This was our first trip but it will not be our last trip.
Nice atmosphere in dinning area, able to carry on a quiet conversation. Entire meal very well done. Plan to return
Great food and service for our lunch. Keep up the good work.
I have loved everything that I have had there except for the Fish and Chips. The fish batter was soggy . I would not order that entrée again.
Server made the entire birthday and family celebration awful. We saw her maybe three times and spent about 2 1/2 hours there, mostly waiting on service or food. I felt as though she was new.
They were definitely understaffed on Sunday the 11th. Several tables were sitting empty while numerous patrons had an extended wait for a table; apparently, they didn't have enough servers to cover all of the tables. Even after much of the brunch crowd was gone and MANY tables were sitting empty, the service was incredibly slow and disorganized.
The food was good, as it always is.
We always love the Village Tavern. Service and food are excellent.
Visit with my kids
This is the “go-to” for my wife and I for date night. We have never been disappointed and will continue to visit again and again.
It was a great experience
Food was cold when it arrived at our table ... didn’t have time to send back.
My supper club always enjoys Village Tavern!
Nice spot for groups or duos. The menu has a variety of selections. The Chicken Marsala was delicious , although small chicken pieces and small amount of gravy.
I requested a round table early—it makes conversation easier for a group, but we were seated at a rectangle. However it was located by the fireplace as I requested. Nice service also
We ordered hot crab dip and deviled eggs as starters & they were great. My spaghetti squash & zucchini was very different from what it was the first time I had it last year but it was tasty. Since extra ingredients have been added to it, I suggest renaming the dish since the main ingredients are now overpowered. Everyone in my party was satisfied except one with cold mac n cheese. That was surprising since it is normally very good. It was sent back. The appletini was excellent.
We made reservations and were seated fairly quickly. It was very crowded, and our table seemed to be in a main thoroughfare for diners and servers. It was far too long before our drink orders were taken (20 minutes), and service was slow all evening. We placed an order for appetizers that was lost, and when we reminded the server, she checked on them, but they came at the same time as our entrees. We weren’t charged for them. My steak was overdone (VT is one of the very few places I’ll order a steak), but knowing how slow everything was going, I didn’t send it back, nor did I eat more than 1/3 of it. Overall, a disappointing evening for my husband’s birthday dinner.
Had the chicken teriyaki and it was great! Skylar was our server and he did an amazing job! Will return!
Always great, always great service
Food is delicious and great atmosphere
We go quite often
Great healthy options on kids menu.
Half price wine night. Good value
Went for birthday lunch with a friend.
Miss Tasha took very good care of us on our date night we really enjoyed ourselves food was good took a little longer then expected to eat but it was worth the wait....
When we arrived, the place was very busy. We were shown to our table. It took a while to be introduced to our waiter. We ordered wine and then ordered dinner. When the dinner came, it was as if that was the end. Waiter never returned to offer more drinks. We waited and waited to get our check. Overall not a good experience.
All selection ruins were very tasty except for the meatball entree. Was not very warm and too much cheese and too few grits. service was excellent
The dressing was bland. Not a lot effort put there. The service was good. First time we had to use salt and pepper to have any flavor whatsoever. Was not worth what we paid. My first complaint on this site. Ever.
Very tasty meal and such a beautiful dining area. Prices were fair and the service was most excellent. Definately will be going back again and plan to make one of my regulars!
We thought everything about the evening was great except that the bread was just very average. It was not warm when it came to the table and it was hard. Also the butter was like it came straight from the frig so it was hard to spread onto the bread. It would have been nice to have warm bread with soft spreadable butter. Overall though it was a great experience.
My family went to celebrate Valentine's Day without the maddening crowd! It worked! My only complaint is it appears the recipe for the calamari changed and contains peanuts which is a major turnoff. I also wish the bread service was offered by the servers rather than needing to be requested.
Great restaurant, good food!
Perfect choice for Valentine's Day! Wait staff are always knowledgeable on wine pairings and steaks are outstanding. Love our dinners at Village Tavern!
Great everything perfect
We went for Valentines Day dinner. Our waiter Rachel was awesome. Very friendly and efficient. Our food was wonderful. Would highly recommend!
Had a great dinner with some girlfriends for Valentine’s Day! We sat down right at our reservation time, and had such a good time. Our meals were delicious, and our desserts were even better! Definitely recommend the butter cake ! Carly was our server and she was great!!
This is our go to place for special events. Love the shrimp and grits!
We always really enjoy this restaurant. It’s relaxed and reasonably priced, but the food and service are first rate. The menu is strong. When my wife asked about a favorite dish deleted from this menu, the server made it happen. He got things done for us. Great night.
This wasn't my first dining experience and like all the others it didn't disappoint. The food was phenomenal and the service was great! I definitely recommend and I will be back.
The food was very tasty, the waitress was attentive and the portions were ample.
We ale=way enjoy going to there. Looking forward to our next visit.
We were very happy with the Village Tavern. The food was very tasty and service was great. We didn't have to wait for our food, but we weren't rushed in any way. A very good experience.
We go there alot, this was a birthday celebration and we all enjoyed our choices of food except the birthday boy, my husband. He got the grits and meatballs to try something different. He said the grits were watery and not very much, and the white topping was not very good. I am assuming that was the cheese... but everything else was very good.
