One great night of dining. Our server was named Hilda. She made our evening unforgettable. She was the most personable, professional, friendly and beautiful person to ever serve my guests and me. She became a welcomed member of our group. We will always request Hilda for our server. She could even have dinner with us! Hilda is the best. A very special woman to us.

We had a great experience. The wait staff, including the manager, were very attentive. The food was good--calamari was excellent and the flatbread pizza (goat cheese and mushroom) was a B+. The restaurant was packed, yet they were able to fill our orders fairly quickly-- impressive.

This was our first time back to Village Tavern after moving away from the area 6 years ago. It was always one of our favorites and it didn’t disappoint this time either. We were celebrating our anniversary with friends and had an overall wonderful dining experience with great food and nice atmosphere. We will be back!

We've been here before and this time it didn't quite measure up to what we experienced in the past. We always ask for "secluded, low traffic" and were put in the main aisle near large tables. The Red Sangria was very low alcohol. The Caprese appetizer tomatoes didn't have a fresh taste, the cheese wedges were grainy and there was very little balsamic dressing. My wife's shrimp and grits didn't have good flavor like the past and my Asian Tuna was more Medium and I asked for Rare like it is supposed to be. This restaurant used to be on our favorites list for the several visits a year to this area, not anymore.

This is our favorite restaurant for our dept to go to lunch. The food is always fresh and good. There is something everyone likes on the menu. The service is outstanding.

This was one of our go-to restaurants fir a long time, but this past visit was by far one of our worst experiences and it was disappointing since we had family from out of town visiting. Everyone who ordered red meat had to have their steaks redone and the sides were COLD. Fish was so-so, but certainly nothing like previous visits. Service was also sub par as several drinks/salads/soups just forgotten. Hopefully this was just a fluke, but it will certainly be off our regular rotation for a while.

Our server Alex was the only staff we observed that didn’t look overwhelmed. The food was great! It was far too noisy and a server walking past our table knocked into me with some force as he approached the table just past ours. Although we saw many team members the restaurant was running like it was severely understaffed. I would give it another chance but not soon. The braised meatball skillet was fantastic as was the prime rib. The baked Brie app was delicious.

This was only our second visit to this restaurant in over 5 years. It couldn't have been very memorable the first time or we would have returned. I cannot tell you what happened in the intervening time, but this dinner was wonderful.

The ambiance of the restaurant was superb. it had kind of a ski chalet decor, with dark woods, fireplaces and bars and booths. Our waiter, Shaq, had plenty of time for us and made no attempt to "hurry the meal along". We were meeting with friends and continuously chatted during each course, between courses and even after dinner was over.. He waited between each service even though he did not have a plethora of tables to serve -- it was his style.

As the menu clearly stated, bread was complimentary but had to be requested. What the menu did not say was that the bread was freshly baked and delicious. Resist as much as you can -- you don't want to fill up before the entree.

Each entree was plentiful and cooked exactly as ordered. My wife loved her sea scallops and I had a surprisingly good Cajun seafood fettuccine. I was surprised because that particular dish tends to have over-cooked seafood, under-cooked pasta and a sauce that is more "heat" than "spice". I prefer Cajun dishes that do not burn your mouth for 20 minutes after the dish is finished. This was cooked perfectly.

The prices were mid-range and the value was high. It will not take 5 years for us to return. (as a matter of fact, we have a reservation for next week.

Took over an hour to get appetizers. Salads never came. Food was marginal. Server was inattentive and rude.

My wife and I have been patrons of this restaurant for 15 years, however this special occasion was not enjoyable for us. Our food was cold, in fact one order was not what we had ordered. Bread was not served with our drinks and salad, and had to remind our server of this who didn't bring it out until we had finished our dinner. This was to be a special evening for us celebrating our 50th anniversary. I mentioned this to the people at the check in area who made note of this by taking our name, and telephone number. That was this past Saturday night, up to this writing I have not received a call from a representative of the restaurant. Needless to say the evening did not go as planned.

I gave this restaurant an overall good rating because the food was good the service was really good. Let’s face it you’re not gonna eat anywhere in the Atlanta area for less than $30 so that’s just the way it is. My opinion, it’s all overpriced. However that’s the reality and I did enjoy my meal very much. I got the old fashioned burger and crab dip appetizer. Both were very good. Burger was cooked perfectly and was flavorful and juicy.
I would recommend and would return.

We love the "tavern". It's close to our office and we do lots of business lunches and dinners here. Great variey and quality of food, cocktails and wine. And nice higher end atmosphere. Love the large booths and round tables for larger parties, too. Very much recommend.

Village Tavern is my first choice for a more upscale dining experience. The food is always prepared to perfection and the wait staff is friendly and attentive, without being too disruptive. Their Filet Mignon is tender and delicious and their Prime Rib is the best I've had. I highly recommend this restaurant.

We enjoy the ambiance of Village Tavern and its "a bit above average" vibe. The food is reliable and the service is usually pretty good. There are decent gluten-free options. The booths provide a nice and quiet-enough environment to have good conversation without having to strain to hear. We appreciate being able to make reservations and not having to loiter in the lobby.

We are frequent "violators." My dinner -- Filet Mignon, Garlic mashed potatoes, Broccoli, and Au Jus was as near perfect as ANY Chef could get. Our server, Brittany was as good as it gets. A "12."
Management moves around and is acutely aware. Highly recommend a visit.

Arrived at 5:30 pm for our reservation to a half empty restaurant and asked if possible to be seated at a quieter table. Hostess proceeded to seat us by the kitchen area where I had a view of the drink station and some brooms and could hear the wait staff talking. We had to ask for a different table.

I ordered Ahi Tuna salad - the dressing had no flavor. Waitress brought more dressing and it was not the same as what was on the salad. She led us to believe they had indeed put the wrong dressing on the salad. However she then told us that the manager was unwilling to provide any type of discount for serving the salad with the wrong dressing.

I was then injured by a waiter on way back from restroom as he was moving at an incredibly fast pace and slammed into my right shoulder.

All in all it was not a pleasant evening.

French onion soup was too salty and warm, not hot. We were seated in a booth next to a very, very loud party. We could not hear our waiter nor carry on a conversation between the two of us. Not a pleasant experience.
