Village Tavern Alpharetta Ratings and Reviews
Village Tavern is one of our groups favorite restaurants. It as an excellent menu and outstanding servers. Saturday our server was Heather (HMO). She was very attentive. The food came out hot and was fixed the way we requested. Heather kept the plates cleared and drinks filled. She checked back with us often to ensure there were no issues. Heather did an outstanding job and we look forward to seeing her on future visits to Village Tavern.
Village Tavern, Alpharetta, is truly a "Neighborhood Gem." It's location, parking, large varied menu, very good food (I'll just "ping " on one -- the Teriyaki Scallops on the starter menu) and the very accommodating management are worthy of a first and follow-up visits.
The Village Tavern is a favorite of ours. We go by ourselves, with friends and family, and entertain business associates there. The customer care and attention to detail is unsurpassed. Yesterday when my meal was brought to the table I immediately noticed an ingredient to which I am very allergic. Without question Bob, our waiter, took it away and replaced my meal promptly. I am sure I neglected to ask that my meal not included the item but Village Tavern was professional and prompt to take care of what could have been a dining disaster for me.
We are long time patrons of this restaurant and will continue to be.
Waiter was very helpful in steering us towards dishes the kitchen does well and indicating items that weren't, in his opinion, worth taking a chance on. Very much appreciated as we were both hungry! Attentive without being bothersome. The lead hostess was a bit frosty and although we were 15 minutes early for our reservation, told us to wait until the reservation time to request to be seated and then we had to approach the host stand to reintroduce ourselves and renew the request to be seated rather than coming to invite us to be seated. The entry area was relatively clear and we sat close by the stand for easy identification. That was most definitely NOT appreciated and a poor introduction to the rest of the evening-I'm glad the waiter unwittingly salvaged the rest of our experience!
Haven't been to Village Tavern for a while and was happy to see that it is still a great place to go. We always have a wonderful meal and the service is above average . I had the shrimp and grits which were delicious and definitely one of my favorites places to order them. Our server Mark was delightful, friendly and very attentive. Perfect dining experience all around. We will be back.
This place is consistently great! The food is always good - we've been a number of times with people and by ourselves. They have good, fun mid week deals. A nice brunch on Sat/Sun with lots of options (which is not always the case for brunch). It's a great local place to go and it's always enjoyable. Food comes out HOT and nicely presented. All in all a very good place to go for a casual dinner. When the weather is nice, definitely sit on the patio!
Been coming since it opened (average 1 every two months) for years for casual dining and once a month for business lunch. Very good atmosphere and comfortable dining. American food venue prepared very well. Will always recommend it. Starting to get a little pricey, but this maybe since we have been going there so long. Sadly no club or frequent patron dining programs, like Bonefish and others. Wish they had one.
I asked about buying a gift card with the bonus card. I was told by a manager that that promotion ended on Christmas, but the website said it was good until Dec.31, which was the day I was there. They did honor my request when that was pointed out to them. My husband ordered a basket of 6 muffins;we received 5 muffins. The waitress said the manager told her to put 5 muffins in the basket. I ordered eggs benedict, but received Tavern Benedict which I didn't want. Instead of offering to redo the dish, she said she would adjust the price. I felt I was being ripped off the entire visit! This is definitely not what I expect from Village Tavern. A very disappointing experience.
I have previously dined at The Village Tavern prior to moving away from Alpharetta over 3 years ago and always loved it. My recent return visit was great for ambiance and the service but the food was subpar which was very disappointing. All of our dishes were served cold which is NOT a good way to eat an omelet and the side of potatoes. The filling in the omelet was underwhelming as well. I was very disappointed as was the rest of my family.
This is my third or fourth time visiting this restaurant in the last few months and the service continues to go downhill. The food remains good so that must be the only reason I go back. For a restaurant like this, the service needs to inprove. I expect slack service in a less expensive place but since VT is not that, I do expect more.
Recommended to friends we go here as been many times and consistently good, but not last night
Have been here so many times, but if last night was my first, would be my last
Service was awful. Felt like we were forgotten about
The salad with added salmon was not as good as usual. The salmon was not as moist as I have had on other trips
Towards the end of meal someone came by and asked how everything was, and we were very honest on how bad our service was. We got an apology, but no form of any compensation, by either free dessert or comp meal, not that we were looking for that, but would have been nice..
Will definitely hesitate recommending again, and will be reluctant to revisit
Too many other options in the area
