This was my first time at this restaurant and I definitely plan on coming back. I met a friend for brunch there on a Sunday. Great food, great and attentive service, huge dining area with cozy booths. I had French toast with fresh fruits which was delicious. The menu is very diverse, there’s something for everyone. Highly recommend!

Monday business lunch for six. We routinely meet at VT with this client for lunch Meetings. We like VT for proximity to our offices, good food, good service, and ability to conduct business over lunch. Service is typically very good. This week the service was average, possibly due to new waitress. Will know to ask next time for server by name.

Had lunch with a friend Friday, Jan 3. Was surprised how busy it was considering the date. It gets pretty loud when busy which makes conversation difficult. Nevertheless the service was efficient and not overbearing. I had the spaghetti squash with vegetables and tomato sauce and my friend had the fish and chips. Both dishes were delicious! I like the wide variety of the menu - one can always find something to enjoy and prices are reasonable.

Have been coming to Village Tavern for years and love it.

We were very disappointed with the Village Tavern. They ran out of mashed potatoes so we subbed baked potatoes then they ran out of those. So we got our meal a little at a time. The waitress was apologetic but the kitchen and servers should be in communication if certain items are running low. We will not return.

Server was not as attentive as we had last year. Not quite as good as I would have expected

First I have always loved Village Tavern but yesterday was a bit disappointed in the quality of food served. Soup was not hot, salad had undercooked bacon and friends meal was OK. Server was extremely sweet and attentive. Fireplace was not on and overall was disappointed leaving my XMas Eve lunch.

Good food, service and great environment. Go there often

We always enjoy our visits to the Village Tavern. We've never experienced a bad meal here. I enjoy their salads when we come for lunch. Recently we enjoyed the steak and eggs for Sunday brunch. The small tenderloin was cooked perfectly and was seasoned just right. I highly recommend the Village Tavern whether it's for lunch, brunch, or dinner.

Slow service, food took awhile to arrive. Have had much better service prior visits.

Excellent dining experience. I plan to come back soon with my husband.

Great food great service

After a great movie we went to Village Tavern for dinner. Food was great and Shameka was charming. Kitchen delivered excellence on a casual dinner. Bar service was a little slow but to be fair it was very busy. It’s one of our favorite spots

We celebrated my mother in laws 85th birthday. Always a spectacular meal! Never disappoints. Service was excellent from beginning to end.

Onion soup was cold - prime rib tough - server tried her best - head chief came out and apologized for the food - made it right with free desert - we will be back -

Village Tavern is a favorite of ours. We always have a great experience at this local gem. The food never disappoints and the service is perfect!

Its a place I can always count on getting good food and good service. I brought a first timer and she said she'd be back soon, as will I, a regular.

Terrible service

This restaurant is one of our favorite places for dinner. The experience on Saturday night was so far below their usual that we are hoping that it won’t become the standard. Our service was painfully slow and our food was at least 30 minutes too long arriving. Our server, Kim, didn’t spend much time visiting our table. She took drink orders and appetizers which were delivered. She then took dinner orders and promptly disappeared. She never came back for additional drinks or anything. We had requested bread when she took our mains orders but that never arrived. 1 round of drinks, appetizers, and dinner took the 5 of us 2 hours and 15 min. We had reservations for 7:30 and were actually seated at 7:15. We headed out at 9:30. The manager on duty never made any rounds of the diners to check for problems. After dinner I ask to speak to the manager about the experience. She did modify the bill but that didn’t return the wasted time nor the frustration we all felt. Not sure when we might return.

Good food, very good service in a very busy atmosphere. Found we could relax and have a leisurely dinner without ever feeling rushed. Our waitress was great. Cool, calm, collected.

Dani was a fabulous server! Everyone there is always pleasant and efficient. We have never had a bad meal there. Always top notch!

Anniversary brunch

I had made a reservation for brunch on line. I had received not one but two confirmations for my reservation. When I arrived, the hostess said there was not a reservation.I showed her the confirmation on my phone. Still no apology. She mumbled ," we can still seat you". They placed 4 of us in a tiny booth! Worst seating ever! I said to the nice man who escorted us to The table,' That is just weird that you don't have a reservation for us." He said, "It was in there! We do have your reservation!" It makes me wonder why you have people working as a hostess who lack intelligence and social skills. The brunch food that i ordered was cold. Never again will I go to Village Tavern for brunch. Server was a nice older man who provided good service. Eggs and potatoes taste better when heated. Hostess needs to be re-trained! Absolutely RUDE!!!! We have been going to Village Tavern for years and never had such a bad experience! Very disappointed

Aside from the martini not coming as advertised with stuffed olives. I had to ask for the olives and when they came they still were not stuffed. And the Martini was spoiled (just a little bit) on my wife’s leg and foot.

Everything else was decent.

Always great good and service.

Not very pleased with the server from the kitchen who brought our entrees. She was dressed sloppily, almost spilled my dish on my lap while sneering in the process. I think the restaurant would have someone more presentable and professional.

we had a very enjoyable evening. host greeted us an immediately show us to our table. Our server, Hilda, took over from there. Drink and food orders were taken. Our party had prime rib and taco's. The tavern salad was outstanding and the entrees were very tasty. Hilda took very good care of us. It was busy but she was very friendly and cheerful. She kept our drinks refreshed and plates cleared. We look forward to our next visit.

Service and foot was outstanding. Unfortunately, there were several large groups and the noise level was overwhelming

Incredible food! Everything was impressive. Service was eh. Ambience like a country club dinning room.

After many visits, this last time was so disappointing. Appetizers and cocktails were delicious. As usual the service was excellent. Our server, Tammy, was attentive and concerned about our experience. Each member of our group ordered the Prime Rib. One was good, one passable, and one was so bad it was returned, not to be replaced. Advice to management - find a new supplier capable of delivering consistent high quality "Prime Rib", a prominent staple on your menu.

Prime rib was excellent. My wife loved the trout.

Always an awesome experience

I love this place and so does my kid! There is something for everyone. Fresh squeezed juices make a greyhound the best beverage. Shrimp and Grits is stellar. Beyond Burger Rocks. Misti's service was on point
