Our server Alex was the only staff we observed that didn’t look overwhelmed. The food was great! It was far too noisy and a server walking past our table knocked into me with some force as he approached the table just past ours. Although we saw many team members the restaurant was running like it was severely understaffed. I would give it another chance but not soon. The braised meatball skillet was fantastic as was the prime rib. The baked Brie app was delicious.
First time and I will definitely return. Food, Service was fantastic. Great Outdoor seating with Live Music.
Excellent lunch; Shaq was our server and is wonderful!
This was only our second visit to this restaurant in over 5 years. It couldn't have been very memorable the first time or we would have returned. I cannot tell you what happened in the intervening time, but this dinner was wonderful.
The ambiance of the restaurant was superb. it had kind of a ski chalet decor, with dark woods, fireplaces and bars and booths. Our waiter, Shaq, had plenty of time for us and made no attempt to "hurry the meal along". We were meeting with friends and continuously chatted during each course, between courses and even after dinner was over.. He waited between each service even though he did not have a plethora of tables to serve -- it was his style.
As the menu clearly stated, bread was complimentary but had to be requested. What the menu did not say was that the bread was freshly baked and delicious. Resist as much as you can -- you don't want to fill up before the entree.
Each entree was plentiful and cooked exactly as ordered. My wife loved her sea scallops and I had a surprisingly good Cajun seafood fettuccine. I was surprised because that particular dish tends to have over-cooked seafood, under-cooked pasta and a sauce that is more "heat" than "spice". I prefer Cajun dishes that do not burn your mouth for 20 minutes after the dish is finished. This was cooked perfectly.
The prices were mid-range and the value was high. It will not take 5 years for us to return. (as a matter of fact, we have a reservation for next week.
Took over an hour to get appetizers. Salads never came. Food was marginal. Server was inattentive and rude.
My wife and I have been patrons of this restaurant for 15 years, however this special occasion was not enjoyable for us. Our food was cold, in fact one order was not what we had ordered. Bread was not served with our drinks and salad, and had to remind our server of this who didn't bring it out until we had finished our dinner. This was to be a special evening for us celebrating our 50th anniversary. I mentioned this to the people at the check in area who made note of this by taking our name, and telephone number. That was this past Saturday night, up to this writing I have not received a call from a representative of the restaurant. Needless to say the evening did not go as planned.

Excellent place to have dinner. Been there many times.
I gave this restaurant an overall good rating because the food was good the service was really good. Let’s face it you’re not gonna eat anywhere in the Atlanta area for less than $30 so that’s just the way it is. My opinion, it’s all overpriced. However that’s the reality and I did enjoy my meal very much. I got the old fashioned burger and crab dip appetizer. Both were very good. Burger was cooked perfectly and was flavorful and juicy.
I would recommend and would return.
Always great service. The Manager always stops by every table.
This is one of favorite our "go to" place for dinner and special occasions. Food and service are always great.
Our main course didn’t come out the way we ordered it but management was excellent in making it right. The salad, soup and after correcting our main course our dinner was delicious and will return soon.
Had great time and amazing food. The Butter cake is to die for!
Food was good as usual. Our server, Keoche, gave us phenomenal service! Always like to request her.
We love the "tavern". It's close to our office and we do lots of business lunches and dinners here. Great variey and quality of food, cocktails and wine. And nice higher end atmosphere. Love the large booths and round tables for larger parties, too. Very much recommend.
Once again, the food and the service were excellent! Our server went above and beyond to ensure a wonderful experience!
Village Tavern is my first choice for a more upscale dining experience. The food is always prepared to perfection and the wait staff is friendly and attentive, without being too disruptive. Their Filet Mignon is tender and delicious and their Prime Rib is the best I've had. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Always a good experience. Our service was excellent. Food was delicious.
We enjoy the ambiance of Village Tavern and its "a bit above average" vibe. The food is reliable and the service is usually pretty good. There are decent gluten-free options. The booths provide a nice and quiet-enough environment to have good conversation without having to strain to hear. We appreciate being able to make reservations and not having to loiter in the lobby.
We are frequent "violators." My dinner -- Filet Mignon, Garlic mashed potatoes, Broccoli, and Au Jus was as near perfect as ANY Chef could get. Our server, Brittany was as good as it gets. A "12."
Management moves around and is acutely aware. Highly recommend a visit.
First time at the Tavern. Seated promptly, service and food was excellent. Will definitely be back.
Great brunch and excellent service. Celebrated friend's birthday and appreciated the birthday dessert.
Great experience ! Food, service and atmosphere were wonderful!
Arrived at 5:30 pm for our reservation to a half empty restaurant and asked if possible to be seated at a quieter table. Hostess proceeded to seat us by the kitchen area where I had a view of the drink station and some brooms and could hear the wait staff talking. We had to ask for a different table.
I ordered Ahi Tuna salad - the dressing had no flavor. Waitress brought more dressing and it was not the same as what was on the salad. She led us to believe they had indeed put the wrong dressing on the salad. However she then told us that the manager was unwilling to provide any type of discount for serving the salad with the wrong dressing.
I was then injured by a waiter on way back from restroom as he was moving at an incredibly fast pace and slammed into my right shoulder.
All in all it was not a pleasant evening.
Great food and service. The waiter did not rush us at all but was also available when needed. I'd recommend to friends and family.
Good food with friends. Excellent burger. Would recommend and definitely return
Frequent diner, first time disappointment with kitchen and overall service. Ran out of menu items, served the four of us at different intervals; and, had to search for service staff to get check..... Very disapponted!!!!
French onion soup was too salty and warm, not hot. We were seated in a booth next to a very, very loud party. We could not hear our waiter nor carry on a conversation between the two of us. Not a pleasant experience.
Great place for a special meal. A bit noisy so hard to hear companion. Food was tasty and service was great.
Just good food nice service , had a wonderful waitress
I used to love this place. Not anymore. My shrimp tasted rubbery. They brought me the wrong drink so I had to send that back. I said no cream in it because I have dietary issues with cream. They put cream in it. My son asked for regular fries instead of the overly cinnamon flavored sweet potatoe fries. They didn’t bring them. He got the sweet potatoe ones instead. We asked for ketchup, the meal was 1/2 over when we got it and the waiter tried to over-charge us for a glass of wine. The bill was really expensive for 2 burgers (kids), shrimp risotto, crab dip, nachos, some meatball dish, and 3 drinks it shouldn’t have been over $140! Not sure if it was the waiter that seemed to not listen to anything we ordered or just the restaurant isn’t what it used to be.
Food was delicious and our server , Heather, was attentive, friendly, and had great dinner suggestions. We will definitely be back.
Went there last night. Haley was our server. She was excellent. Our food was great as was the atmosphere. You must go if you haven't been. Consistently great.
A couple of my girlfriends and I met for happy hour. They have 1/2 priced glasses of wine on Weds and that made it a great experience. The appetizers were outstanding. I recommend!
Our repeat visit confirmed all the things that impressed us about the Village Tavern the first time we dined there. Inventive menu with great ingredients, attentive service and a really nice selection of wines and craft cocktails. We’re eager to go back soon!
This was our second visit. We were seated within 5 minutes of our reservation. Food and service were excellent.
As always this is a great go to restaurant. We have always loved the Village Tavern.
Looking forward to the next visit.
It was crowded but we got seated on time and service was quick too. Food was excellent. Overall, a great experience!
Friends met for lunch from various locations. Good access for handicapped person, great good, good service. We enjoyed every aspect and will return again.
