My day at the Biltmore started with lunch at Village Social. There was a line going out of the door. Apparently it’s hard to get any decent food at Antler’s Hill Village without prior reservation, so there were quite a few people checking in as well as inquiring about the place. Needless to say you have to wait in line before you could even talk to a host and by the time I got that opportunity, I was exactly 14 minutes “late”. The hostess Tatiana was quick and unapologetic telling me that my table “is no longer available”, as I’m more than 10 minutes late. Never mind that I spent 10 minutes in line for a chance to check in! She “relented” and “allowed” me a table outside. I didn’t mind the outside table to begin with as the weather was nice that day, but the manner in which it all happened, the rude attitude of the host was stunning! And that was my first impression of Biltmore and a start to my day. Welcome to Biltmore!
Great meal and outstanding service as usual !
The food and service at the Village Social is always outstanding! The wonderful servers remember you and go out of their way to provide excellent service. The food there is amazing!
Excellent service...thank you Jenna! My food came out a little on the warm side it should have been hot pumpkin penne pasta. We ended up in the corner outside. The restaurant could do a little bit more to boost up the ambiance when sitting in the back of the patio area. All in all it was a good experience.
Service from when we stepped through the door was excellent. Very pleasant young staff and quality of food to match. Perfect mix of local ingredients incorporated in a seasonal menu.
Fried oysters were incredible
You must experience them.
Rib eye Cooked to perfection
Shrimp & grits were a little spicy, but delicious.
Overall a fabulous dining outing.
Restaurant was very nice but the price to value was terrible. $144 for lunch for 4???
Drunk group at the bar was very distracting. Really don't see how you could afford to get wasted there.
Terrible food, service was ok. But overall disappointing. We had high expectations given it’s one of Biltmore’s respected restaurants.
The shrimp and grits was excellent. The rib eye was a little tough. The atmosphere was quiet enough that you did not have to talk in a loud voice. We had a very nice night.
Very nice place with excellent food and staff! The she crab soup was excellent.
Food was excellent, and the staff was very helpful and courteous.
We really enjoyed our meals. The portions are very generous. We added the salmon to the vegetarian bowl and found it to be the highlight of both our meals. It was prepared and cooked superbly. The airline chicken was well seasoned and the farrow was great. Our server was attentive and extremely pleasant.
Food was actually really incredible. The best I have had in a long time! We had the estate salad with Pumpkin goat cheese, the barbecue sauce salmon with goat cheese green beans and potato cake, and the pumpkin penne. Everything was fabulous! On other reviews, people complained that crowds of people would cut through the restaurant to get to the rest of the hotel. I didn’t find that happening at all. Great place!
We had a great meal. We got the shrimp and grits and it was was if the best we have ever had. Service was great and it had a nice casual vibe.
The food was excellent and a fair value. The service was ok, could have been more attentive.
We’ve always had a great experience here!
Our waitress, Rhonda, was fantastic. Please thank her for being there to serve us our lunch!!
The Food was excellent. The wait was negligible. The atmosphere was cozy.
Fabulous! Food gourmet level. Especially pumpkin soup with Brie croutons. Waitress outstanding - competent, friendly, attentive. Good staff. Good atmosphere and convenient in Village Hotel.
The hostess and waitress were very friendly and pleasant. The ambiance was nice, cool photographs of the Vanderbilt family hanging and nice bar and restaurant seating. The drinks were good. The food was just okay. The pumpkin penne was lacking any real flavor and was very dry. The ribeye was tender and cooked as ordered. Overall I’d give the restaurant an average rating.
Very convenient while staying at the Biltmore hotel. Went for lunch and dinner the first night of our stay. Daily breakfast is always good and the service is great.
Both meals were excellent! We had more food than we could eat but everything was prepared perfectly!
Brussels sprouts were super yummy and more than enough for two as a starter! Cheeseburger was delicious with special mustard and veggies at base, plus cauliflower slaw. Bisque of she-crab amazing!!!!
Perfect place to unwind after a day of touring the grounds and mansion
The place was entirely too noisy. Could not have a comfortable conversation with my table. THe crab cakes were medicore at best. The server did not ask for my annual pass for the discount. When I made the reservation it asked about a special occasion. It was our anniversary and there was no acknowledgement nor did the server inquire if it were a special occasion. For the prices charged I expecte better. Will not return.
Food tasted amazing. Service & atmosphere was amazing!!
Kasey was a wonderful server. She was patient and accommodating with my 6 year old. She was timely and informative about the menu and had just the right balance with checking in and leaving us to ourselves.
The soup was on pointe.
I really wanted to like it but overall we were disappointed. We started out with a sweet tea and a cocktail which cost $17 and was about 3 sips and wasn’t good to boot. If you are from the south this was not sweet tea. Service was very good. My husband got the chicken and I ordered the salmon. I so wish I would have take a pic of the menu because I cannot remember what exactly was in each dish. The salmon was brushed with Bbq sauce and cooked medium as I ordered. It came over a grey looking puree which the waitress said was sous vide fennel mixed with mustard. It was as horrible as it sounds. The potato cake was just as bad. I wouldn’t have known it was potatoes unless I had read the menu. It was about an inch thick and was almost like a cake it had so much flour in it, plus it really had no taste other than old oil. There was a green bean salad? with sliced almonds. The beans were crisp but there was just no flavor. His chicken was good but the farro risotto was not. It was like a bad episode of Chopped. We have these random ingredients and what can we make them into…The best part of the meal was the she crab soup. We should have stopped with the soup. The restaurant was nice but random people do walk through while you are eating. I am guessing they are staying at the hotel. Just odd for people to use the restaurant as a thoroughfare. We spent $137 for 2 people with tip.
It was our 30 wedding anniversary celebration at Biltmore the restaurant ambiance was awesome. We where great with a warm welcome, Actually my husband got hungry and we decided to give it a try to see if we could eat earlier they accommodate us to get there as soon as 4 o’clock when they stated serving dinner. Food was amazing, desert was awesome. But the way we were treated with such love and warm make us love this place even more We felt like we were important for them we spoke to them we crack jokes we laugh such a great experience with such a nice people it was just amazing I have no more words than AWESOME!!!
Had a patio table between the house tour and our winery tasting. Sam was very helpful and prompt, we enjoyed the she crab soup, Buffalo oysters and a few glasses of blanc de blanc!
We are annual pass holders at Biltmore, but we've never eaten at Village Social. Everything was excellent. Our waiter Monica even chased us down after we left to give me my hat which I had left. Above and beyond expectations.
Nice place, menu some what limited, apps a little pricy, small and loud, good service though
It was a hereafter dinner. Our waitress did a great job!
Village Social was a wonderful part of our day at the Biltmore. We ate outside; the weather just beautiful! I had the Estate Salad with salmon and it was all delicious. My husband had the burger; which he loved. We'll be back again soon.
We ate outside. So pleasant, socially distanced tables. Food was amazing, a little pricey but it is on Biltmore Estate so…..Service was great.
Our server Casey was outstanding! The food was delicious. I always feel like I am on vacation when I drive through the gate of the Biltmore Estate.
Disappointing that the restaurant closed at 4:00 pm and there was no information on the site explaining that to us which cut our dining experience short
Great food, staff, and ambiance!
We were celebrating my birthday and enjoyed a delicious meal at Village Social after an afternoon spent touring the Biltmore Estate! Thoroughly enjoyed the experience!
Awesome! Great time
