Too crowded and limited menue. Good pork chop and shrimp and grits. Waitress wanted to turn the table. Good for families.
Nice people, the place was friendly, good menu and a comfortable place. Everyone’s food was good, hot, and served in a nice manner. I would definitely go back.
If you are staying at the Village Hotel @Biltmore, this is the go to place to eat. They do breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Just take the elevator to the second floor. Breakfast starts at seven am and the pecan waffles are amazing. Very light and crispy. Dinner was good too. She a Crab Bisque was thick and creamy with big chunks of crab. Full bar and espresso station too.
Waiter very nice and attentive. Food was mediocre would not recommend
We had lunch at the Village Social - Biltmore on Sunday, December 1, 2019. We were staying at the hotel where the restaurant is located. Service was very good and waitress gave an excellent recommendation for the burger. Exceded my expectations. My wife's avacado sandwich was also excellent. Biltmore wine we ordered with lunch was very tasty and pleasant.
Had the shaved steak sandwich. Not a lot of meat. Have had better many other places so would say average quality & over-priced.
The mac & cheese side however is always excellent.
Host forgot to seat us after we told him our phones were dead. We could not receive text message. We waited an extra 30 minutes for table. My wife's chicken was not fully cooked. Waitress took part of chicken back to kitchen to be cooked more. She did not offer to bring out new plate. Eventually, the meal was removed from bill. The food that was cooked properly tasted good.
The food was okay. For the price you pay, I would expect exceptional. There are other restaurants on the property that are better. There was a guy playing the guitar for entertainment which made it so loud we had to raise our voices to be heard. Not a very intimate dinner. However, the waitress was wonderful. She quickly fixed our meals when she noticed they were not what we ordered.
Enjoyed celebrating my husband’s and daughter’s birthday! It was very busy over the Thanksgiving weekend but nevertheless everyone was very nice and in great spirits. We will definitely be back!
On time seating. Good friendly wait staff. A little noisy. Food was excellent
The restaurant was very busy, so the noise level was a bit higher than normal, but nothing to make out experience less than stellar. The staff were amazing! Due to traffic jams, my guests were late, so I had to change my reservation. The employee on the phone was friendly and very helpful. Upon arriving, it was easy to see that the restaurant was at full capacity, but our service was top notch. We were acknowledged immediately, and our orders were taken soon after we were seated. The food came out in a timely manner. I ordered the vegan harvest bowl which is new to me. I'm not vegan, but the dish sounded fantastic, so I tried it. WOWZA! It was wonderful! Pretty to see, and tasty! I enjoyed an outstanding blend of flavors, and got some healthy food! This will be a regular when I visit. The cup of she crab bisque was phenomenal! The Village Social was filled to capacity. Even though the restaurant was busy, each staff member was pleasant and welcoming. From the hostess, to the wait staff...our experience was up to Biltmore standards! I will be going back soon, and I plan to order the vegan harvest bowl again.
While the service was nice, the food was below average. It reminded me of the food at a theme park restaurant.
My husband ordered the seafood stew. Was a very small portion, no salad, did not fill him up. Would not recommend.
This place is perfect for a relaxing meal after a busy day at the Biltmore. The food was very good and service accommodating. You should definitely try the scallops!
Our table was available exactly at our 1:00 reservation. Our waitress was very efficient and got or drinks promptly. The food arrival was very good considering it was a special order. In addition, it was excellent, too, the Biltmore is expensive BUT very good! Service was excellent also.
We ordered the Thanksgiving special, which was about $30 each. It was overpriced for the quality of the food, and we felt very rushed by our server who was asking for our order at her first approach to our table. It felt like turnover was everything, and for an $80 meal (with drinks) we didn't feel welcomed.
The she crab soup was a bit burned and too thick. The service took a bit too much time but understandable due to the holidays. No bread was offered with the meals which is rare to us.
The service was ok. The food was fair at best. Not exactly what we were looking for. I could have gotten the same kind of food for a lot cheaper somewhere else.
After touring the country's largest home, one gets quite hungry. The Social was ready for our culinary wants. The food was really good. The service was on point and our surroundings were comfortable. We were very satisfied with our experience.
Very nice overall
Our food was delicious, the ambiance was relaxing, and our server, Daniel, was great.
We had a lovely time; close to the biltmore winery
Restrooms were filthy and no TP
Everything was wonderful! I would definitely recommend to others.
Our meal was delicious, the service was very attentive without being obtrusive, and we had a nice time.
From the moment we walked in until we left, the Village Social staff was friendly and attentive. The food was delicious and worth the price we paid. The ambiance of the restaurant was perfect for a more high end casual date night. A great way to end a day spent in Antler Hill while also refueling for an evening strolling through the Biltmore.
Food was delicious, menu didn't overwhelm you with choices and service was fantastic.
Hearty, delicious meals! We enjoyed the Village Social for Breakfasts and lunch - Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the Biltmore grounds
The ambiance was wonderful with a singer who was in the background quiet enough for us to hear one another speak at a large table. Our server was outstanding as she was personable and knowledgeable about the menu.
Excellent dining experience with very tasty appetizer, salad and dinner entrée selections.
Very attentive staff and Solo guitarist entertainment made for a great evening dining experience.
We opted for the Social Burger and fries which were delicious, though the burgers were not cooked quite evenly as one side was a big thicker than the other. Our daughter had shrimp cocktail with a side of mac and cheese about which she raved. I also had the apple sangria mule which was very refreshing with just the right amount of alcohol. Do not miss the deep fried Brussel sprouts!! My new favorite way to eat this vegetable. I was a bit surprised at the location of this restaurant as I was expecting a bigger punch in presentation at the Biltmore, but it was lively without being too noisy thought you did realize that you were in a side lobby of a hotel.
It was great!
We enjoyed our visit to the Biltmore!! The food at Village Social is the Best!! My husband and I had dinner and breakfast. The food was so good and the wait staff is terrific!!
Very small eating area with noise level high. Staff perfunctory and humorless but given the One million visitors per year somewhat understandable. We had requested a special table as it was our anniversary but were seated in the middle of the bedlam. There really are no "special" tables in this place. The food was OK if not very thick sauces, she crap soup was tasty but you could stucco your barn with it in a pinch. Fish taco OK. Beers were not kept up to date so could not get the Oskar Blue beer I relish. Go downtown to the South Slope to get your beer, there are 8 breweries one mail drag. Steer clear of the winery shop across the street as a over priced and over rated wines in general. Be prepared for the same stiff perfunctory staff at the mansion. Lady at the concierge table was the only cheerful person we encountered at the hotel. Find her she is very helpful and looks just like Elizabeth Warren.
A visit to the Biltmore with family.
Server tonya was great !
The wait staff is superb! The menu has interesting and tasty offerings with interesting vegetable and meat pairings.
We had multiple meals at Village Social since we were staying at the hotel where it was located. This particular mean was a dinner and we really enjoyed it. We had a starter with multiple cheeses, pickled vegetables, and bread. It was very good and filling. We then split the Social Burger and it was equally very good. Service was splendid and the ambience was nice. Our dinner was much quieter than our breakfasts so it made for a very nice romantic dinner. Hats off to the chef and service folks.
Food was delicious, service was wonderful, live music a bonus.
Quite an interesting menu, where everything on the menu sounded delicious. It was hard to make the decision, but the Frogmore Stew won out, and it did not disappoint. Others in my party had something different and all said the food was great. Great service and atmosphere. Definitely worth trying if you visit Biltmore Estate at dinner time.
