The Village Anchor offers a unique setting in Louisville’s east end, both for personal and professional occasions. The Village Anchor Restaurant and Anchor Bar on the main floor bring together stone, red leathers, rich worn velvets, wrought iron, dark woods, Italian appointments, Carrera marble, and the original crimson red beer taps from Churchill Down’s Silks Bar. It offers an upscale-casual, fun environment with an inimitable European flavor and exotic French flair. The lower level Sea Hag Pub offers a completely different look and feel. The “Hag” brings together brick, worn woods, hand-wrought iron, stone, and copper. The 30-foot copper bar with built-in ice troughs chill your favorite brew or wine.

                                                                          Reservation with Open Table. Table was downstairs, located in a corner by the "cooler" with air blowing right at us. Asked to be moved, pointed out other tables. Was told they were reserved. And ours wasn't? Service was marginal. Noise level, unacceptable. Shrimp and grits, grits portion was a soup. Although we live in the area, we don't frequent the Anchor. Think I remember why. Louisville has tooooo many restaurants with better food and service. Our last time.

                                                                          We hadn’t been to The Village Anchor in several years. We took a couple with us that are new to Louisville. Service was extremely slow. Food was nothing to brag about. We were on the patio and although there were fans, not enough to keep us comfortable. We won’t be going back.

                                                                          Hello Mary Ellen, Thanks for for coming back to the Village Anchor after such an extended period of time. It seems it was the best experience and we apologize for that. I do remember speaking to your table a few times and there were some missteps in the service and we seemed to not have corrected enough to make a positive and memorable one. I know we had trouble getting your appetizers to you in a timely manner and the table next to you turned one of the cooling units away from your table. Which could have made you more comfortable. The extreme summer temps do pose a challenge at times. We do ask that you return, so that we seat you inside and provide the service we know we are can provide.                                                                           This was the first time we had ever been to the Village Anchor. We will definitely be going back. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious and our server was amazing. If you get an appetizer definitely get the wontons, and the fried chicken entrée is the best fried chicken I’ve ever had at any restaurant

                                                                          The food was good, although we waited 30 minutes for our reserved table and our waitress was not very attentive. We had to get up and get her attention several times, especially when we wanted our check- and we were the only table in the restaurant at that time!

Any meal that starts with fried wontons it’s gonna be good and that was just the beginning. The California Benedict was really delicious, tasty and plentiful. Our table also enjoyed the elk chili and the Reuben. Our service was impeccable. We will definitely be back thank you

                                                                          We were there for lunch to celebrate my sister’s birthday. We all ordered the pick 3. The fried okra and Brussel sprouts were delicious along with all of the rest of our food. The only thing I would change was getting our salad dressing on the side as we all thought there was too much on our salads. We ate on the front patio, our server was wonderful. Great experience.
