Mom's Hot Banana Pudding Meringue
Created by Kevin's mom, this is our most popular dessert and an Anchor classic! This beauty takes a bit of time to prepare, so Chef Henry requests advance order

Thanking the team at Village Anchor for another wonderful meal. They were very busy but the food and the service was superb. The Wontons are scrumptous.
Mother daughter get together. We had a ball as usual. You just can’t beat the atmosphere and the customer service.
I feel the 2 dollars per person for COVID-19 clean up was a slap in the face. They should be grateful for people wanting to dine at their restaurant. We have always liked the restaurant and will go back again. They should consider dropping the extra charge.
Always love The Village Anchor. I ordered the shaved Brussels sprouts salad and asked to have the egg over medium instead of sunny. I received a side order of the Brussels sprouts with an egg on top. Not at all what I ordered. I ate it one bc I do love their Brussels but if I waited for our waiter to return it would have taken forever. I’m sure they are understaffed and this was an accident but I was sad I received the wrong food and found t correct it
Excellent wait staff, above average food, just a little too loud on the porch until a group of 8 men left!
Great evening as always!!! Thank you Shannon!!!
The service was very good, the food was very good, and they also followed through on the request I made on Open Table. It was much appreciated, and I will definitely continue my patronage to the Village Anchor.
the food was great. What was disappointing was the fact that when I arrived for my reservations, we were seated in the basement! The restaurant should have told me that we would be seated in the basement. I would have NOT chosen that evening to eat out.
Allan was our waiter and was fantastic. It was girls night out and he was patient with us as we took our time in making a decision what we wanted to order. The food and atmosphere cannot be beat. It is always a go-to for me when deciding to go out with friends and family!
We had a girls’ night out with my coworkers who had never been to the Village Anchor. We left very satisfied.
Great evening by the fireplace!
We had a wonderful outing. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was perfect for a ladies’ afternoon.
It became apparent from the moment we arrived that on this particular occasion they were understaffed . Perhaps they didn't expect such a large crowd on a Monday night. The wait staff was stretched thin and did the best they could.
We have eaten at The Village Anchor many times and the food is always delicious, but the service this time was off the charts! Kenny is a gem and really made our total experience that much better. He was kind, attentive, funny and just really helped top of the evening with his hospitality. He deserves kudos and to know how much he contributed to our experience. Thank you!
Very odd entrance and layout,
we went upstairs to check in to be redirected back downstairs. Wobbly table and chairs, given one silverware. Beer taps were all broken. Ordered goat cheese salad which had one small piece
of fried goat cheese on it although good. Great server and very attentive food runner. Not in a hurry to return although I’m sure being sat inside may have been more enjoyable.
The Big Eye Tuna was amazing!!!
Thank you Shannon for a great evening!!!
The Village Anchor is my favorite spot in Louisville. We love every day, but especially Wine Down Wednesdays.
Met with a friend at High Top downstairs in the bar area. Loved the atmosphere. Started with the brown sugar Old Fashioned and shared a bottle of half-priced wine (Wednesday special). Split the gorgonzola wedge and the special of the day, which was steak tacos in honor of Cinco de Mayo. Our food was excellent, service was perfect, and the entire experience was pleasant. The Village Anchor always delivers and I'd recommend to anyone looking for good food and a cozy atmosphere.
My favorite restaurant. Shannon did a fabulous job making our experience first rate. The food, service, and ambiance were exceptional. See you next month. 😊
Nice casual patio - COVID safe environment with good food and a wonderful waiter.
Great food and wonderful place. Only draw back is sitting and looking at gas canisters and such took away some ambiance
What was our go to restaurant and top choice was a disappointment tonight. We both decided to try something different. My wife's meat loaf sandwich was way too salty. My fried chicken had an excessive coating on it and the creme brulee for dessert had a bitter after taste to it. For the price we paid, a huge disappointment tonight. It's going to be awhile before we return.
Outstanding food and service! This is our favorite brunch spot in Louisville.
Delicious ! Went for their brunch and it amazing . Their blue cheese biscuits are delicious and the French toast was AMAZING . My husband loved the Bloody Mary’s . I
It was a beautiful day to sit outside and enjoy a wonderful meal at Derby!
We always love the village anchor!
Always amazing!!! Shannon is the best...
We had a wonderful dinner and our server (Erin) was amazing!

A quiet outdoor table with great food
Alan is the best!
Ha d a little problem with a "chatty" server that made an error on our order. The order was corrected and credited.
We enjoyed dining outside, food and service were both excellent!
Wonderful as always!
Perfect spot to meet friends in a warm atmosphere
Date night with the wife. Made reservations thru open table. Got there and was told our table was on the patio. Wife asked if it was heated. Hostess said it was and we had to walk back down to patio. We were seated at our table and the heat was not on and outside temp was 60-63. We were not prepared. We asked for inside dining and they provided. Service picked up after first drink order and food was quick to come out. I had the filet and it was so good. Atmosphere was excellent.
Great service! Loved our time. We brought our three boys and we were all very happy with our experience.
Always awesome!!! Thank you Shannon!!!
A wonderful lunch, great food and service.
