great experience to dine in one of their igloos.
Food was average. Price was unreasonable. $160, with tip, for four people, two drinks, water for everyone else, one appetizer and one person just got a salad with chicken.
Our waiter was excellent! The food was delicious as usual. We will go back soon!
We had a great night out.
I suppose they are doing their best during COVID, but the table was essentially outside, and we were seated near cleaning supplies and dish tubs. The plastic and heaters did very little to make it comfortable (it was freezing, and a strong breeze blew in under the plastic). Overall a really bad experience. We've eaten there so many times before, but I doubt we will ever return. Glaring issues.
It was too cold. They put us downstairs. The plastic was not completely covering the air. Only had one heater . That was not enough. I made reservations 2 weeks before. Would have preferred to sit inside. Didn’t know at the time or I would have requested.
One of our favorites! Would highly recommend service , food , atmosphere
Great experience, as usual. Love this restaurant! :)
In these times of Covid it is nice to find a location that respects the ban but helps you feel normal. The service was exceptional beyond expectations. The food was excellent and the banana pudding with meringue was beyond description. The presentation was divine and more than generous. The tab was perhaps more than I planned on, but worth every cent. The bourbon selection was first rate and the house cocktails were interesting, though not sampled.
Great drinks, great apps, great food! There isn't one bad thing on the menu. Be sure to try the sweet potato fries with cinnamon marshmallow cream!
Had a great dinner. Server was excellent and friendly.
It would be nice if (on OPEN TABLE), you'd KNOW that you'd be seated outside on a "heated" patio instead of INSIDE by a warm fireplace IN JAN. when the temps. outside are around 30 degrees. Just INFORM your diners....thanks!
Thank you Shannon!!! You always make our evening perfect!!!
We were there for a bday celebration and everything was nice but they knew it was a bday party but never offered or sent a dessert over. Almost all restarants do that.
Wonderful Red Snapper and Mussels special last night. Seen it on email feed and had to make reservations. We went early, it was quiet. The safety protocol was excellent.
Thanks for a wonderful night out.
Big serving, it was wonderful.
Went for the Tuesday special and it exceeded expectations!
Food and service were great but we were seated outside in 35° and they ran out of propane for the heaters so it was freezing!
Was sat in the bar area next to the restrooms for a date night. Seemed to be an auxiliary table. Also let in WAY too many customers in at the end of the night who were drunk and loitered around our table.(the bar was supposed to be no seating). Food was great and so was our waitress. More upset with management and how they handled COVID regulations. Kind of ruined an otherwise great date
Love the Anchor but they need to space the heaters out better. Past a certain point you could not feel any heat.
Food was delicious and service was outstanding. So cozy by the fire and with the twinkle lights, atmosphere was romantic! We had the hotter brown and a surf and turf special, along with a creme brûlée for dessert. All was divine!
Went and had brunch on New Year’s Day. What a great way to start the new year. The food was very delicious, service was top notch, and the atmosphere was nice. We were seated by the fire place so it felt like we were at home but way better. Definitely will be coming back again for brunch and for dinner.
Excellent brunch! Lots of options and the generous mimosa options make me coming back!
It is always our pleasure to dine at the Village Anchor - excellent food and even better food.
Our server Katie was fantastic! 👌🏽
The ambiance is always good, due to the building and patio area. The service was excellent, and the food was outstanding!
Our expectations are high and the Village Anchor team always exceeds them. We enjoy this experience with all our friends. Bravo to the team!
The eggs benedict were amazing, our server was bright, bubbly and fun, the bloody marys and mimosas were awesome! We’ll be back!!
Food was phenomenal! Shrimp and grits.....yummy!
The food was delicious . The Brussel sprout salad was one of the best salads I have had . The atmosphere was very nice. Loved the decor.
The food and service was great. Unfortunately we sat on the enclosed porch on Xmas Eve and it was so frigid that we could not enjoy our evening
It was amazing experience the waitress was very nice. My pork chop was excellent as well as the asparagus that came with it. Then the yams they were solid would definitely come back again.
It was a great time and fast service. Waiters were very friendly
This is my favorite restaurant. I love dining here!
Great food for a reasonable price! We had a reservation, but unfortunately put downstairs where it was a bit cold despite the minimal heaters.
Service was wonderful! Food was yummy! Heaters kept us warm!
We love Shannon !!!
Consistently offers great food and service.
This is a great restaurant. Great food great prices great service
Food and service were top notch! Enclosed patio was very cold and a little noisy. Lunch portions but not lunch pricing. Likely to go back - in warmer weather
We love our weekly dinners at Village!!!
