It took too long to get our order. A breakfast order showed up less than Luke warm. It had obviously been sitting somewhere long enough to cool off. It was our first time, so we will try a dinner reservation.
Loved the food and ambience
Always enjoy our Thursday’s with Shannon!!!!
Love the Village!!!
It was a wonderful night out to celebrate my birthday. We got a great table outside even though I had booked a standard table.
The covered patio is a great outdoor space for dining.
Delaney was a great server and Joni is a wonderful manager that made sure we had everything we needed!
The food and service was great. Our server was fabulous
Didn’t look like a good decision at first, everything was chaotic and we almost left. Thankfully we stayed for a great dining experience. They were very short staffed, explains the chaos, but the staff that was there was incredible. Everyone was friendly and working hard. The food was great and we will be back
We will definitely be back on a regular basis
Flies were intrusive outside. Food was good.
I’m at frequent visitor a Village Anchor. Today was my best experience!
I knew they were busy but Brenda made room for us. Our server Nikki was great too and we had the best time and food. Just another reason why I love coming here!
Great experience. We sat inside this last time, which was nice since it was a very hot day.
Scheduling through OpenTable was easy & smooth! Walked right into Village Anchor without issue and was seated promptly. Food was absolutely delicious and our waitress could not have been better. Highly recommend using the app and dining at the Anchor Village for a great experience!
Great! The best hot brown in town
Everything was great, from the service to the drinks to the food. We will definitely be going again!
We had a table outside, which was a bit warm, but we had a fan and an umbrella blocking the sun so it's wasn't completely unbearable. The food was wonderful. The service was horrible! We sat down at our table and were immediately brought water. Another 20 minutes passed before our server came out and asked if we wanted anything to drink other than water. We had no menus, no silverware, nothing but water. When she brought the drinks out, she brought one, then went back and brought another, and then 10 minutes later the last two. If we hadn't been to Village Anchor many times before, we wouldn't go back.
Girlfriends meeting for lunch.
Decor was pretty tired and worn out. Food was average, service and drinks were excellent.
Was supposed to get one dessert free but was charged for both
They were good but disappointed didn’t have the banana cream pie I usually order
It was hot inside like the air was broken
Overall a good experience though
Excellent everything as usual!
Great food, particularly the fried chicken. Service was also great.
Good for outside dining but the interior is a little funky. Essentially a pub but with a French brothel design.
Could be the best chicken and gravy I’ve had in Louisville.
Shannon the bartender was our waitress and did an outstanding job! Our party was an hour late and she was so patient and kind!
Ate outside, was nice, I would suggest buying the small table top fans that keep the flies away.. it would be a nice add, make dining experience just a bit better
Great drinks pours and cocktails - I recommend the Blackberry Old Fashioned. The brussel sprouts are great, and so is the ahi tuna salad.
We made a reservation to dine indoors. They escorted us to a table in the basement which was terrible. We ended up moving to a table outside of the basement in an outdoor setting which was a little better. The food was great, but if you are not a regular here be prepared to be treated like you are not welcome.
The food was very good and the service was excellent. We ate outside and for a warm Friday night, it was very comfortable. The fans helped with the heat, but it was a nice evening for my wife and I.
Food was excellent. That’s the only nice thing I have to say. We received it completely out of order. Had to ask for one appetizer 3 times. Waited at least 45 minutes from the time we ordered before we got our food. I was embarrassed for the restaurant. I had family in from out of town. No accommodation was made for all the screw ups. View was of the prep table for the bus boy. Total waste of time and money.
It was hit and lots of flies attacking our food inside on the main floor!
Awesome! Great service!
Actually the food was not that good. I was disappointed in the chips that were served with the fish tacos.
The food was great. It took 20 minutes to get waited on. The server apologized but you could tell by her discussions with another server she did. It went to serve us. I think she was overwhelmed with other tables.
Lovely meal great service by Alex!!!
After lunch all the waiters continuously scraped those heavy iron chairs around instead of lifting them.If that was a hint, we fled from the racket with our hands over our ears, only to hear a repeat performance outside on the decks! OMG!!
This is one of our favorite places to go eat! The service and food are excellent! Always a perfect dinning experience.
We sat our side there were lots of flies and they moved us inside. The grilled brussel sprout salad was tasty but we all thought it was over salted … all of us commented on the saltiness. I had the scallops over risotto . Cooked to perfection but again extremely salty. My wife had the pork chop and our friends had surf and turf. They all said their meals were good. I’ve had better food there before maybe a change in chef or an off night
Always a great place to eat! Staff is friendly and food is delicious!
Always great food and service! We sat on the covered patio and the flies were HORRIBLE but that’s no fault of the restaurant!!
Terrific as usual. It was a great night and we sat outside and enjoyed the patio. Food was great, service was wonderful, and they were very accommodating as we spent over 3 hours at the restaurant.
