Great food, love the Brussel Sprouts and Goat cheese appetizers!
Great place to for a date night; we always have a great experience.
The atmosphere was pleasant and the food was amazing.
Pretty bummed out our experience because this is a favorite restaurant of ours. We saw our server 3 times. Once to take our order, to bring the food, and receive our check. We ordered an appetizer, salad, and entree to share along with with some drinks. Appetizer: fried green tomatoes were way over cooked, near burnt; Salad: supposed to have an over easy egg on top which ended up with a hard center, and the brussel sprouts were burnt. Entree: shrimp and grits were fine, but grits were clumpy.
It was wonderful as always. This is our favorite spot!
Meeting friends
Alan was our server, and he is truly outstanding!!!
My sister and I came from Indianapolis to take our mother to lunch along with 2 dear friends of hers. Everyone enjoyed their lunch. It was delicious and the service was fantastic.
Nice way to commemorate Easter!
Good food and nice ambiance!
Excellent food! And atmosphere! Manager and chef was very accommodating! Highly recommend!
Easter Dinner
Staff was friendly. Food was good. My husband got the scallops, he loved them ( pricey tho). I got the salmon (moist)with asparagus( done just right).
We always enjoy our time at Village Anchor. We especially enjoyed it for Easter brunch this year. The protein bowl topped with grilled chicken was delish. My husband enjoyed his red velvet pancakes. Look forward to our next dining experience there!
Outstanding! We will certainly go back to the Village Anchor. A bit pricey but the food and ambiance were exceptional.
Terrific as always!
Awesome service and food! We loved the atmosphere. First time dining in. I loved the filet and my fiance loved his pork chop! Great drinks too.
We had a delicious meal and enjoyed our experience.
This is hands down our favorite restaurant in Louisville! Excellent food, service and prices! The wontons, shrimp and grits, goat cheese salad and hot brown were excellent! Drinks were delicious. Must try the fried derby pie next time.
The best night of our week is at the Village with Shannon!!!
The food was good. It is always good quality.
I have been going to the Village Anchor for years because I live in Anchorage and it is the neighborhood hangout.
My only complaint is that the menu has not changed in years. I know what I am going to order before I get there. Vary the menu or add more nightly specials.
It’s time to have the drink specials congruent through the bottom and top level, I.e the mimosas that are served downstairs should also be offered upstairs! I heard several tables ask for the same thing!!!! ITs TIME.
I really like their food; however, I got a bad order of shrimp and grits.
Always great food at the Anchor. It is definitely one of my favorite places to go eat.
Everything was wonderful as always. We had asked to sit in the covered patio area, once we were seated it was a little too noisy so we asked if we could move inside and the staff was happy to accommodate our request. Can’t wait for some warmer weather to enjoy the patio!
Great food! Wonderful waiter! I love the Brussel Sprout Salad and my two friends got the Shrimp and Grits. It was all amazing as usual!
Always amazing and yumtastic!!! Shannon makes our week great!!!
Excellent meal, service and experience!
Great food. Love the location. Needs a coffee shop for mornings.
Little slow on the drink orders
It’s was fine but dining out now is such a treat so it needs to be really good!
The service was great. Sam (female) was our server and very attentive. The food was excellent and I had the Bourbon Brown Sugar Mimosa which was so good, I said I have to go back next weekend just to have another! So we made a reservation for Saturday since we are both fully vacinnated we feel safe going out. Their precautions also added to my comfort.
AMAZING!!! Brunch was probably the best I have ever had. The setting and interior were quirky, fun, historic. Service was beyond expectations. One word... GO!!
What a wonderful place to hang out with my daughter. The food is always great, but it’s the customer service that’s bar to none.
Thank you for such a sweet experience!
We love sitting by the cozy indoor fireplace! Both of our lunch salads were amazing!
Always an awesome evening, and more so when Shannon makes everything so special !!! Thank You!!!
Alan did an awesome job. Really enjoyed the evening
Rock star experience as always! Food, service, ambience were on point and made our day wonderful!
Local Restaurant owners!
The food, service & ambience were all outstanding. All 4 of us had a steak meal & all were cooked to perfection.
We had a table booked for 2:30pm. As soon as we arrived, the server told us that the kitchen was closing in 15 minutes. We had to then call someone over to take our order. We were there less than 1 hour when the server interrupted our food to give us the bill and to tell us it had to be paid right away.
I like this place and the food but this was not the relaxing lunch I was looking forward to. Don’t understand why they make a table available at that time if they are not set up to cater to it. I was very very disappointed.
The food was ok but the service wasn’t the greatest
Great food and atmosphere!
