Waiter was fantastic, plenty of singing and a wonderful time was had by all
Villa Verone is a wonderful restaurant serving the best authentic Italian food in the Fox Valley area. We’ve eaten there many times and every meal has been delicious.
We have been going to this restaurant for years now and thoroughly enjoy the food, the service and the atmosphere. A wonderful place for two of you on date night, and just as appropriate for a day/night out with friends and/or family.
We are Italian and always enjoy the wonderful food that is prepared with authentic expertise. Our family loves the freshness and incredible taste of every dish that we have shared.
The added bonus is the energetic bar scene and the great bands that play on the weekends.
So happy that we have found this fantastic gem!
Bon appettito and salute'!
The food is amazing! The staff is very friendly. Great live music. One of my favorite restaurants.
I took my girlfriend there on Saturday for Valentines day as we could not go out on Wednesday. Before I picked her up I dropped off a dozen red roses in their package and asked if they could be delivered to the table after we were seated.
True to their word they not only delivered the flowers, but, they removed them from their package trimmed them, put them in a vase for me and spread them out - great job.
Our waiter was fantastic, the food was simply amazing and the wine tasted great. After it was all done, our waiter gave us free desert even though we were almost full and wished us a happy Valentines day - what amazing service and fantastic hospitality.
After dinner we enjoyed the live band in the other room for several hours - the service in that room was just as good as the one in our dining area. The owner was walking around checking on people, greeting them, making sure everything was going well - that is how a business should be ran - such attention to detail.
We cannot wait to go back.
Great job Villa Verone.
If I went over to a friend's house whose mother was Italian, it would have been damn fine food, with similar presentation. That is, nothing special, just good, basic, old style Italian. Portions are adequate, not too big, not too small. The building itself is an actual house, fitted to be a restaurant, reminiscent of Meson Sabika in Naperville. The owner is definitely old world "ey, ow-you-doin" Italian, as was our server. Space was tight, but not uncomfortably so. Very cozy ambience.
The problem I had is that they charged "fancy Italian" prices, nearly double of what we would have expected for the quality of food we got. Maybe they jacked up the prices because it was Valentines Day 2 days prior, but we definitely weren't served $20 lasagna. Maybe $12 at most. The asparagi appetizer was something I could have made myself - it was that straightforward - but they charged $15 for it. And the martinis were $12 each, but made with house ingredients. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't have had an issue with the prices had the quality matched.
In the end, it's cozy and quaint, with a great old world feel. It's just too expensive for what you get.
Excellent service. Very good food. Megan is an excellent bartender and made it an excellent experience.
We were there to celebrate valentine day since I had to work on the actual day. I had the special for the day which was a New York strip steak with rigatoni and garnish with large shrimps, portabello mushrooms, red and green peppers. My wife had the veal francese over a bed of angel hair pasta. My caesar salad had anchovy with it and her wedge salad had just about everything under the sun. From salad to entrée, all selections was outstanding except I wish they would have given me a bit more pasta. Oh, did I mention there was an outstanding band (The Beaux) playing there that night too. Definitely a very enjoyable was achieved!
The food and service are excellent. They serve some of the best Italian food I've every had. They have very good bands in their lounge area, especially if you like music from the 60s, 70s and 80s. The bands start at 8:00. Unfortunately around 9:30 a crowd of noisy and rude 30-somethings up consistently show up and take over half of the lounge area. As a result we've given up going to Villa Verone for dinner and dancing.
We had such a great experience. My husband and I went there for our anniversary. The food was great and the entertainment was just around the corner. 5 stars all the way!!
We had a great time on Valentine’s. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, as was the wait staff. They recommended a nice red wine while we waited for our table (a short wait because we were early for our reservation). When we ordered our food they had no issues accommodating our requests and the food came quickly. It was also delicious - we had the butternut squash ravioli and the lobster ravioli. Our waiter also was very friendly and clearly enjoyed being able to create a nice dining experience.
Wonderful really good food and service
Truly the best Italian restaurant in the Chicagoland area. Amazing food and amazing people.
My Valentine had a date night at our favorite restaurant Pietro Verone (Villa Verone). Lucky for me my two favs were there, Joe and Pietro. The food was fantastic as always! Thank you so much to all the staff at Villa Verone!
Ask for Dino. He will make your experience so much better and will make you feel at home and valued as a customer. The food is always amazing and the place itself is so beautiful warm and cozy. Highly recommended, dessert is the only place that is slightly lacking but their cannolis are great!
Food was delicious! Service was fantastic! I can't wait to come back in the spring/summer to eat in the patio.
Place is great. Staff invested in the experience. Food very good.
This place is always a fantastic time. Great food and great music in the bar after dinner. Nobody does it like Pietro! Great host and wait staff. Never a disappointment!
Overall a good experience but I thought the Lasagna was too much meat and not enough pasta, not recommended. I would go again but not anytime soon.
Great Italian food in a rustic, cozy environment. A real hidden gem!
Went there for an undisclosed birthday and made reservations. Food was ok, server was very nice. Our salads were forgotten so we just accepted our entrees when the came out.
Loved the food and the service, as always!
Delicious food, great service, band was outstanding, fun night!
Delicious lobster special and desssert. The service was excellent and attentive. The dinning room was full and very noisy.
The red sauce is the best I ever had the rigatoni is amazing, the fried ravioli is also
Food and service is always great - decor could definitely be updated. Think it’s been the same since I was a kid.
Excellent appetizer with fresh mozzarella, disappointing lobster ravioli.
We had a wonderful meal! Love it!
Great food and service! Sometimes it is a little loud but otherwise a wonderful place. I can't wait to go back!
The band played for 60 minutes and took a break for 30 minutes. When the dance floor was full they took a break. Most people left.
