Villa Verone Ratings and Reviews
It was our 4th time to the restaurant and I've ordered different items each time. Every one has been excellent. Wonderful Italian food. The tables are a tad close together so it can be a little loud for casual conversation. The service is very good. The owner is very personable and walks around and greets the patrons. In the non-winter season, they have a wonderful dining area in the front "yard" of the restaurant that has great ambiance. Highly recommended.
Lovely historic building . Several intimate dining areas. Wonderful bar and entertainment upstairs in the club. Wide assortment of Italian speciatues, We opted for the Chef's Special, which included any appetizer, two entrees, dessert and a bottle of wine for $100. Took home leftovers.
We were there to see a band (friends of ours), good thing for early reservation as I've never seen the place so crowded. My wife's dinner was special of the night (2-4 ozs. filet in a marsal sauce with lots of mushroom, 3 large shrimp , mix vegetables, on a bed of angel hair. I had the chicken vesuvio ( 4 bone in pieces with chunks of roasted potatos. Rather disappointing to say the least as there was no peas , mix vegetables, or pasta. Would recommend this place for any special occasions and the owner is friendly and charming as ever.
The food was FANTASTIC!
I was eager to get to dance to the music of The Beaux but was disappointed in the size of the room; way too small. Their sound system was not working which was not a good thing either. They are a GREAT band but was not able to enjoy listening or dancing to their music.
The commitment of the staff to hospitality was easily recognizable and fun. It was Halloween weekend. 😃 The atmosphere was excessivly noisy and cramped. We would have appreciated entrees on the lighter side. The wait staff was obviously extremely taxed. We would try again and not go for a special occasion.
This was our first visit. Had to wait about 15 minutes past our reservation, but enjoyed a cocktail in the bar while we waited. We were seated in a small area on the second floor which was a bit quieter, which I appreciated. Our server was very nice and the food and wine was fantastic. We will be back!
Dined here with husband and friend two nights ago. Service was excellent and waitress friendly and knowledgeable.
Ordered the butternut squash ravioli which was smothered in an asiago sauce. It tasted more like alfredo sauce. There was a small amount of summer squash mixed in sauce which were soggy. It would have been tastier served with a sage butter sauce. Would not order again. Tables tightly packed together. High noise level due to small room
