Villa Napoletana Ratings and Reviews
Went there with a group of girlfriends on Saturday night and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves...service was great and food was fantastic. Entertainment was very god also. One of our group is a vegetarian which is usually a challenge but there were so many options available she had a hard time deciding.
We made an reservation on Open Table for 6:15. We were directed to a room with a table of 16 or so women who were very cordial and apologized for their noise. About 1/2 hr. later 3 large tables of 14 or so came in for some special occasion and the rooms became so noisy we could not hear each other. My objection is that the room to the right had 4 empty tables when we came and the same when we left about an hour later. The bar was also empty. I think we should have been told that the room would be very noisy and why weren't we seated in either of the other two places. The waitstaff apologized for the noise. We did not complain about it to them.
The mussels were outstanding and the waitress tried her best. My husbands pasta was very good but my salmon was quite dry. I order salmon almost everywhere I go so I have had some very good salmon. I have been here before and had a good meal so I will try again.
I think the management should have been more proactive with respect to seating.
While, the appetizers, entrees, and desserts are delicious, the price of the food was unreasonable. If price is no option for you than definitely try this place because the food is enjoyable. Bargain buyers should beware because this place will empty your wallet.
Overall our dining experience was good. The waitress was new so a more experienced waiter helped out when he noticed things were going a little slow. Very nice staff and accommodated a special request that was not on the menu. Drinks, apps and dinner all very good! They had someone singing and playing the piano which was very good! Not too loud just the right volume! Hadn't been here in a while and will definitely go back!
Resturant nice and cozy. You can't get better wait staff than Stephanie , always smiling and seems happy to be there. We were given fresh homemade bread with olive oil , spices, and balsamic vinegar while we decided on drinks. The sparkling wine was enjoyable. We weren't rushed so we could talk and decide on what to have. We started with calamari fritti, which had a very light coating of bread crumbs, done just right with a side of home made sauce . My wife had beef Marsala, which was a 8oz fillet served with fresh cooked spinach all done just right. I had veal Francese ,nice lemon flavor, with a side of pasta with their home made sauce topped with ricotta mixed with Parmesan chesse, fantastic . Too full for dessert. This is the first time for us , this reminded us of Italy. We will be going back and bring others with us.
This was my first time at villa napoletana. My wife and I came here for our anniversary. The hostess was very welcoming and sat us right away. The service was excellent by our waitress. She gave us recommendations on cocktails and food. Our food came out fast and was great! During our meal they had live music. Really nice environment. They even gave us a complimentary dessesert for our wedding anniversary. I will deffinitly be going back. 10/10
We recently went to Villa Napoletana for my parents Anniversary and Father's Day and it did not disappoint. Our waiter Don was wonderful. My mother and I had the broiled veal chop. It was cooked and prepared perfectly. The pasta was perfectly al dente. My dad had the veal Marsala. The sauce was delicious and the mushrooms in the dish were fresh and plentiful. My companion had the linguini with clam sauce. We are garlic fanatics so He felt the dish could of had a bit more garlic. However, it was still delicious! Thank you Don! When you have a head waiter who knows his food and makes great recommendations it so enhances the meal. We can not wait to return to Villa Napoletana on our next visit to Massachusetts.
Had not been there in 10 years, took a chance with another couple and were pleasantly surprised. 4 different entrees were served and we all raved about our own. Our server who called himself "Don",was fabulous in explaining menu options and recommendations. Entertainment was a bonus. We'll be back. Robert M.
The service was exceptional. Having the head waiter was like having a sommelier. He was very helpful in suggesting a wine we would like. The food was over the top delicious! I had the Pescatore. There was only one mussel, but an over abundance of all the other seafood. I could not have been happier with my meal.
We went for Easter brunch. I was really happy to see that they didn't pack the restaurant, which usually happens on a holiday. The staff was very attentive and welcoming. The food was excellent and there was a great variety. It was a wonderful dining experience.
This was the first time dining at Villa Napoletana and we were not disappointed! There were six of us and we tried three different appetizers: The calamari fra Diablo, artichoke français and a shrimp dish, they we're all excellent. For dinner, we had the veal Flora, beef marsala, and swordfish. They were all very good but the swordfish was exceptional! For dessert we had the cannoli, crème brûlée, and tramisu. The cannoli was not my favorite because it had some strong flavor to it that I didn't like but the other two desserts were winners. If you have not been to this restaurant you should definitely give it a try.
Arrived at 1225 for 1230 reservations was immediately questioned by two different young girls if I had gift cards and coupons. We had a gift card that was given to us and they said they needed to see it. Strange really. Food for the most part was dried up and over cooked. Hash cold and straight out of a can. Bacon sitting in an inch of grease as the brown and serve sausage out of a box. I did not have an omelette but the three guests with me said they were good. I went up to try to get an egg and waited 10 minutes for it. Sorry out of beef at the ridiculous carving station with one slab of pressed sandwich ham. Bottom line I spent $107 for 3 one egg omelets. Waitress was polite.Won't be back for anything anytime soon.
The owner, Joe, was extremely welcoming and had the restaurant operation running like a well oiled machine. Joe and his staff is well versed in authentic Italian cuisine importing his ingredients, cheese, meats and oils from the best most notable purveyors. The whole staff was service oriented and very passionate about the restaurant, the food and service. Ask for the bread it is home made and served warm with a drizzle of extra virgin first press olive oil. The pasta was fresh, the sauces were vibrant and the steaks and chops are prices right and delicious. I had the chicken francese and it hit the mark. Simple, fresh and cooked perfectly. Each cutlet so tender and moist, I cut the whole meal with a fork. The pasta aldente. The Tiramisu was home made and the best I have tasted. The wine list is well thought through. If you are in this area you would be foolish not to stop in. I eat italian in Boston, NYC and Providence, Villa Napoletana would dominate and any of the aforementioned major league foodie cities!
I had reservations for 7:15 pm and showed up at 7 pm to find out that they just took your name and gave tables to whoever came in whether they had reservations or not. At any given time there were two or three empty tables that we're not being reset. We observed tables that were seated that were waiting 35 minutes to receive a drink so After waiting an hour we finally had to leave without ever being seated
