First time dining at the restaurant and most likely the last. Worst service ever!
Excellent food and service
Always outstanding. Food is top notch, atmosphere welcoming and relaxing. A must try. Been coming here for 14 years.
Excellent food and great atmosphere. I was worried because it was Valentine Day, and most restaurants are booked solid. Reservation was honored exactly at the time booked, and server was very accommodating when I told her that we had tickets for a show, and only had an hour for our dinner. She made recommendations for the entrees, the wine and was on point all night. Owners are present and really attentive to the details. Great experience, highly recommended!
I would put the quality of the Italian cuisine here up against any restaurant in Providence, Boston, NYC, Chicago or SanFrancisco. Excellent food. Traditional Italian done real well. Just awesome.
As always, the service was great, the food even better. I can’t say enough. I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone. I’ve ever brought friends from NY and relatives from SC there. They all loved it as well
The service and food were excellent. The menu has something for everyone. The timing of our food coming out was very well timed and the prices very reasonable.
Excellent food but best to go during the week, because Saturday night was very noisy, crowded and service was rather slow. We waited about an hour for our main dish. I realize it was cooked to order but with the noise it was difficult to converse and so waiting felt longer. That said, the food was excellent and the manager tried hard to please us when he realized how long we waited.
Great food and very good service - disappointing management
We had an issue with using a gift certificate toward our bill. The gift certificate we had indicated that it never expired and our visit met the requirements in the "fine print" (there were no exclusions). The management refused to accept the gift certificate, telling us it was invalid. It was not invalid. This is unfortunate and potentially short-cited, as we eat out frequently and so do our friends!
Charged $2.50 for every single seltzer water that they refreshed! Insulation is poor up against the wall - sit in interior if you are there on a cold night like we were.
Food was good. Homemade tomato sauce (we were told) but had hot peppers in it.
Came to celebrate my Husband's Birthday. Invited a friend we had not seen in ages. Great Food, company and ambiance.
Service was excellent and maybe the best omelette I ever had. The Beef from the carving station was tough and flavorless. Most of the hot entree items were not good. Decent salad selections and dessert options. Nice atmosphere.
Loved the food & service. Lively but fairly quiet. Extensive menu variety.
AT THE BAR, please and thank you!!! ☺️
Disappointing..reserved a table that we didn’t get..weren’t treated very well at the door and it was noisy..don’t order the swordfish...if you can find it under a pound of salty olives and too much tomato that I had hoped would be fresh, wrong.
It felt like we were not as welcomed as some of the other guest..maybe because it was our first time there.
Villa Napolitana offers high quality Italian dishes as well as steaks and seafood dishes. The wine list is superb. The house wines are a good quality and quite affordable. New Year's Eve dinner came with a crooner doing Sinatra and Italian ballads. the New Years Eve menu was limited but featured some of their chef's best efforts.
We frequent the villa for dinner or special events and the whole experience is always great. It’s nice to go where it is local owned and fresh prepared food that’s great tasting. I send all my friends there and never heard a bad comment!
We have eaten a Villa many times, the Christmas Eve menu was spot on. Something for everyone in our group, particularly a very picky eater - was more than happy. Will return again!
Excellent place for a buffet brunch and a great value.
This place was amazing!! The atmosphere was gorgeous, and the waitstaff was perfect. They were very warm and non pressuring. Our waitress was on her A game, checking on us at just the right times not to mention the way the food was served. Every dish came out at the perfect time from being served the previous one no long waits at all. The food was to die for, so sumptuous and decidant! Wish I could give them a higher rating than 5 stars!
We went for Thanksgiving and were so disappointed. The food was on par with a cafeteria type place. And for that quality, it was very expensive.
When we arrived, the valet parking attendant was very quick in helping us find a parking space (valet parking is available). We were greeted warmly by the host. The food was good especially the calamari frutti and the service by Marco was excellent. I went there with some friends many many years ago and the service was so bad and slow even though there were only 2 tables occupied. Since then I never went back. 20 years later, I wanted to try it again and see if there is any improvement with the service. Honestly, I was very skeptical. But the evening turned out very very well and satisfactory. I will recommend to my other friends and go back again.
The food was very good. There were a few larger parties so the noise level was higher than usual, but not annoying. The waiter James was very good.
We celebrated a birthday and had a wonderful dining experience. I made a cake that I gave the hostess when we arrived to bring out for desert. The wait staff were very attentive and friendly. The food was simply excellent, appetizers and entrees and the portions were very generous. There is a wide selection of food from traditional Italian pasta dishes to veal, beef and seafood. The wait staff was very helpful with the menu and wine list. The atmosphere is lovely for a special occasion as well as just a nice night out. The wait staff brought the cake to the table with lighted candles and sang Happy Birthday. All and all, It could not have been better. I have been to Villa Napoletana before and the food is consistently excellent. I am happy to give it a great recommendation!
Lobster fest was great! Glenn is an awesome server!
Great food great service ... always a good choice
Service is horrible. Waste of $$$$$$$$$$
Excellent! As always, great service and great food.
The atmosphere was nice and the food was fabulous. Had leftovers and still couldn’t finish it next day. Very generous portions. Service was friendly and excellent. Had brunch here a couple years ago that was fabulous as well. Great restaurant! Chocolate cake was delicious too!!
Amazing food and service!
Absoltluey AMAZING food, was disappointed with slow service, place wasn’t very busy and food took almost an hour to come out.
The place is friendly and accommodating. The bartender helped me steer my date to the location as she was lost. We ordered the spinach salad, which was ample and very well done with tons of bacon and good dressing, not overdone. We also ordered a small Margarita pizza and an order of calamari. Unfortunately, everything showed up at the same time. Since we decided to be casual and eat at the bar we quickly ran out of room. The calamari was soggy with just the tentacles being crisp. Since the salad was so large (and we shared it) we didn’t have room in our stomachs for pizza, so I brought it home. It’s in the fridge as I type, so I can’t make a comment about that. We left half the calamari on the serving plate.
I would go back and order just one thing, and it wouldn’t be the calimari.
The staff were wonderful. Food was ok - stuffed sole was overcooked/fish was dry
Excellent food and outstanding service! Been going here for 15+years and never had a bad meal. One of my favorites for sure!!
This has become out go-to place. The ambiance is great; the staff are attentive without hovering and the food is great.
Food was excellent as was the wine, service was prompt and friendly. A very nice night out with friends. We will go again.
The staff is fantastic and they provide excellent attention. The food was really disappointing, and even the wine was lackluster. I had high hopes for this place.
Great food love the atmosphere terrific music and a good selection of wines
As I have said on Tripadvisor, I hate to criticize hard working people in a tough business., but I have to be honest about my opinion. We are usually underwhelmed with "Italian-American" restaurants even though they are beginning to use somewhat better ingredients and have some idea of how dishes should be made. This was no exception. Our pasta dishes were big on quantity and less so on quality (very bland sausage, and too much garlic). They make a good cup of espresso, the wine list has some decent choices, and our server was very nice. The one home made dessert we shared was not impressive. Perhaps they might do better on the meat and fish dishes, but based on the pasta, we are in no hurry to go back.
A wonderful dining experience. Food was top rate, service outstanding.
