Best baked artichoke ever!! Food and service were awesome
Villa Mosconi is one of our favorite places to dine. The service is excellent and the food delicious. If you are looking for a leisurely meal with friends, good wine and really good Italian food, Villa Mosconi is the place to go.
We have been going to Mosconis for over thirty years. A real village institution. Great food ans service.
The service was fantastic and the food was absolutely delicious!

We come in every month...love the family...live a Carl and the res5 of the guys...this Time brought friends...how do they get their fried calamari consistently tender and always delicious ....everyone cleaned their plates.... Carl is a love....we look forward to seeing him as much as we do the food!
Villa Mosconi is a great place located in a vibrant neighborhood on the West side of the block, the block runs North to South into Houston Street. It truly is a diamond in the rough and have visited the spot multiple times over 12 period.
Always great!very friendly and accommodating staff, especially Jerry. Don't miss the pesto.
Getting together with friends we dang seen in years
There is a reason it has been here since 1976.....
Great local restaurant! Excellent food and the service is outstanding! If you are looking for authentic Italian food, this is the place to go!
Good but not great.
We were the only dinner guests due to the nor easter storm it was an amazing time! The staff treated us with such kindness. And we were not rushed but treated like royalty as the storm raged outside.
Mosconi’s is a unique and wonderful restaurant
My favorite place in NYC. Love it. Food is awesome. Staff is the best. I have been her with family and on business. Great for anyone and everyone. Love their chicken bolognese and the grandma pasta is delicious.
The eggplant rollatini was very good and the branzino livornese was well prepared also, however the chicken marsala was average or below, it was supposed to be veal, but our waiter was so interested in acknowledging "the regulars" while taking our order he consequently got my date's order incorrect. We each wanted to order a glass of wine for our meal but once the meal was served we never saw him again not even to get the tab (which was in itself a project), although we saw him waiting on other tables. He never came by to ask if everything was ok. All in all the experience was not a good one.
Each time I dine at this restaurant I leave with a smile. I’ve never had a bad experience after years of coming there.
I've been enjoying Villa Mosconi for more than forty years. Always good food, service and ambience. Would recommend it for any occasion.
Dining here for many years & everything has always been consistently wonderful. Staff is always warm & welcoming, always treating us like family. A truly great dining experience.
I absolutely enjoyed my night with my girlfriend. The food was great and the service was amazing.
Food and service was excellent, we had a show at city winery and the owner actually looked up directions for us !! Our waiter was Roger he was excellent & attentive to out every need. Will definetly go back there.
Best southern Italian food ever!,
The fried calamari appetizer was superb
Veal, Parma is a favorite was delicious....
Love the house Chianti
Favorite Italian restaurant..whenever we are in town it’s a must for dinner at our favorite place!
Wonderful old style NY Italian restaurant where some of the waiters have an accent that adds to the experience. Staff takes pride in their work. Food was just what you would expect. Like Mama made it with care.
The moment you walk through the door you are greeted with a warm and sincere welcome. I always enjoy the high
standard of excellence the Villa Mosconi strives for and achieves. The room is quiet and elegant, I feel that I am dinning
in Italy. The staff is polite and well informed. My complaints to the chef for always creating a wonderfully prepared
dish. Thank you for a fine dinning experience.
The service and the food were very good. We always enjoy dining here when we are in NYC.
Great spot and delicious food. Went for the lunch special and the pasta was amazing. Very fresh. When we arrived about 12:30 p.m., the place smelled a bit like cigarette smoke, but as the food was being cooked and more people arrived, it practically went away. Ah, the old time when you could smoke at a restaurant. Didn't bother me.
Love it, nothing better than a great Italian place
Excellent food seated promptly the waiters are great .
I have been coming here for years. The food is always consistent. The service is great they treat you like family
A great casual night out
Most of the dishes were just ok to good. Chicken Cacciatore was awful, the color was dark red and the meat was unchewable. We mentioned this to the waiter and all he said was, "yes, the Cacciatore is always tough". Come On Man!!!!!
Dinner and service was incredible
Excellent food and service. Would go back in a heartbeat.
Great food and service. Neighborhood restaurant but good for all occasions.
Excellent as always..we lingered for over two hours...never hassled...love our waiter Carl...love the rest of the wait staff...the owners are friendly..our most favorite Italian restaurant in NYC!,,
Our first time at Villa Mosconi was ok. One hostess lady was very nice and was going to sit us at a larger 4 seat table per our request. Then another lady came over and in front of everyone said no that we had to sit at smaller table because the other table was for 4 people only. So we sat and one minute later, the lady sat 2 people at the 4 seated table we had just asked for. This was not a good start. Our waiter was very nice and attentive. The food was ok. Would not return.
Perfect, as usual. Our #1 dining spot when in the city. They consider us family.
My friend (who is Italian-American) and I wanted a quiet restaurant with excellent food, preferably Italian, and within walking distance of Washington Square. We found it at Villa Mosconi. The fettucine with fresh porcini was outstanding. The branzino we ordered was good but not outstanding. The desert (tartufo) was great - very delicious, and worth the calories. The wine by the glass was fine, but not exceptional. So overall the food was very good (ranging from excellent to okay). But what set this restaurant above the bar was a combination of the service and the environment. Our waiter was professional, friendly, and attentive, and was never bothersome; we commend the waiter for suggesting that we *not* put Parmegiano Reggiano on the pasta until we tried it -- good advice, and we didn't add the cheese. The environment was elegant without being over the top, dignified without being stuffy, and very quiet. This is exactly what we were looking for! We'll be back.
Great for large groups, service is top-notch, fantastic atmosphere, all of our plates were clean and carafes were empty leaving everyone satisfied!
