The past special made in the cheese bowl was amazing!!!
Happy Valentine’s Day and weekend in Boston visiting daughter
Food and wine was great! Good atmosphere
We live in Atlanta and Francesca is one of our must dos when we come to Boston to visit family.
The lobster ravioli is the best we have ever had!
Do NOT attend for Valentines Day. Extra tables added create an ultra cramped dinner, food is rushed out, wine was sub par. There are so many good restaurants in the north end, don’t choose this one.
First valentine’s date together in Boston, it was lovely.
Tight seating but that’s half the fun. Food and service was great as usual.
Amazing service and the food was so good! The food doesn’t take long to come out either. Perfect place for a first date.
We were sat in the front table by the door which was very cold and it seemed we were forgotten about a lot since we were not in the dining room where everyone else was seated. We waited 45 minutes for our calamari appetizer to come out (which I don’t recommend getting) barely any flavor unfortunately. Then our drinks were empty for 25 minutes before we were asked if we wanted another. The carbonara pasta was good though, and so was the chicken Parmesan.
Had a welcoming drink at the bar before we sat down. We ordered a dozen oysters ad they came up in a boat shaped vessel and were big and fresh. We both are the restaurant’s stunning seafood risotto packed with clams, mussel, shrimp and squid. A real plateful and as tasty And comforting as food gets I reckon. Friendly and attentive service throughout. Will definitely be back.
Great meal and great service as always
The maitre ‘d of the restaurant is a buffoon keeping customers bottle necked in the small entrance because they will not seat customers until the entire party is present - our party was there but couldn’t get into the restaurant because of the crowd at the door. Food is marginal - way better choices in the North End.
Food and service excellent!!!
Everything was Wonderful, The food, ambiance, service... everything! It was a little more expensive than I thought it would be but still a great value
We were on vacation and had great pasta!
Excellent food with attentive service! We try to eat at Villa Francesca when we visit Boston, and recommend it highly!
The food was wonderful! The waitress unfortunately didn’t check in on us through out the meal. I had asked for parmigiana cheese and she forgot.
Still a favorite restaurant in the north end and the food is amazing.
Lovely time and good service, but the manager was pressuring the wait staff to get people to order quickly so they could turn the tables.
Fuimos dos veces durante nuestra estadia se come excelente y con buenos precios
The service was excellent, and the food was good, but not worth the money. The restaurant feels a bit dated also.
We were not dissatisfied, but will not put this on our list of places to frequent again.
Great restaurant and dining experience. The only reason I didn't give all 5 stars was because sitting next to a gondola filled with ice was a bit cold. I kept my winter coat on.
Excellent service and wonderful Christmas ambiance! Food was on point
We were seated in the basement which was freezing, but the service was good. The food was mediocre but we did appreciate the gluten free options.
Had Christmas Eve dinner in the North End. Good time for the whole family. Service and ambience were great - Food and Value were good. Overall it was a nice night
Superb dinner, excellent service and incredible food
The pasta made in the Parmesan wheel had a very heavy alcohol flavor which was very overpowering. The other dishes were ok but nothing special. We were visiting from out of town and were disappointed
We live in Vermont and only get here once every other year or so. It is always a treat - good food, wonderful atmosphere, and just a great experience!
Been going to Villa Francescas for nearly 35 years. Quality and consistency has always been very very good. Highly recommend.
Food good. Service excellent. We were a party of 8 so I think that can be challenging. Overall a fun experience.
A bit disappointed in the food - just ok. Service was good but doesn't stand out.
one of my top choices in the north end for the traditional dishes
Wow. What a great experience with the people who work here made this night delightful. Food was so good I will be coming back
I had the Carbonara and was not impressed. It was made with bacon, which i wasn't a fan of, plus it tasted too much like bacon and not like Carbonara. Also wasn't too keen on the spaghetti, wish it was bucatini. I will say, i would come back as i enjoyed the service and the environment. I would not be ordering the Carbonara again but i would love to try other dishes they have to offer.
Our waitress was amazing and the food was absolutely delicious ! Would recommend to anyone :)
Went on a Friday after lunch hour and had the place pretty much to ourselves. So not a good yardstick for most meals but friendly service, great food, relaxing surroundsings.
I came here for my boyfriends birthday and although the Food was fantastic, the service was not. It took us 20 mins to get a waiters attention and that was only because we had to flag him down. We were seated and no gave us cutlery or water. Thank god the food was delicious or the visit would’ve been a waste.
We had a great time. The food was excellent! Service was great too!
Wonderful! Great food in a very nice setting! Could not have asked for anything better.
We celebrated my son’s birthday. We were downstairs which I like for a bigger party. It is quieter so we could hear everyone easily.
Food amazing. Service great! Best cannoli anywhere!
Great anniversary dinner in north end where we had our first date 28 years ago!
