Food and service were awesome! First time for brunch and it was as good as dinner buffet!
Everything was fantastic great tasting food all around and wonderful service
The atmosphere was fantastic food was amazing so many choices.staff was friendly and always around.they helped any way needed.
We went for brunch and it was delicious. There was a nice variety of foods and desserts. A great place to bring family and enjoy a nice buffet.
I left something on the table and did not get it back. The table was in a corner and not many people passed by. I assume it was picked up by someone from the restaurant.
Food was just okay. Service was very slow, and they were not busy. The highlight of the evening was the bread pudding. If you do go, leave room for the bread pudding.
Elf on the Shelf breakfast
Nice setting. Food is good and lots of choices. Service was a little slow and a coffee cup and fork was still dirty. Price is a little steep especially for kids. All in all it was alright.
Always delicious food and great service! This is an annual activity for us and love your restuarant.
We have been going to the Villa de Flora for over 15 years. There is nothing lik3 that great buffet where in a Sunday you can have prime rib, shrimp , eggs and more. We live our waitresses that we have come to know through going there a couple of times a year. We take our friends and family there when they come to visit because it is such a great place to eat and it pleases everyone.
It was a great birthday/Christmas treat. For the money, a mimosa or wine, or something comparable should be offered complimentary.
Went there for Sunday Brunch; buffet was OK, lots of choices -- the usual brunch foods, nothing special. Egg station did not open until half hour into brunch time, so we had no eggs. Our waiter was great, even though it was very busy, our drinks never ran dry :) Be aware...this venue is very cramped and crowded, with a very poor seating layout...lots of people banging into seated diners while trying to avoid the columns/waitstaff/people in the walkway. And I don't know what staff member thought it would be a good idea to seat people with strollers at tables in the main hallway? There's like, 4' (if that much) of room to walk in, and the stroller handles jutting out took up about 2' of it. If you had regular sit-down dining it might not be a problem, but this was during a buffet...when everyone is having to walk back and forth down that hallway to get to the food. I will probably not return to, nor recommend, this brunch. There's other restaurants in this area (and I'm talking non-mouse ones) who do Brunch better.
My mom & I stayed overnight at the Gaylord this past weekend. Last year was our first year staying & experiencing ICE. We had dinner our first night (Saturday) and it was fabulous as always. Sunday we did the Character Breakfast and it was very very good!! We are planning on making this our Annual Christmas Getaway from now on.

Excellent, great food and lovely place to share with family
We’ve eaten at Villa de Flora several times over the years, mostly around Christmas / New Years and Mother’s Day or Fathers Day. We’ve always enjoyed the good food and the wide variety of the buffet. But this time there was not as much of a selection, and even less dessert options, although the price per person remained as high as usual especially for a family of 4. In addition, although there were many empty tables at the time of our 6:45 PM reservation, and this was the busy holiday weekend between Christmas and New Years, we were first seated way back on the side. When we requested to sit up front in the main dining floor area instead so we could hear and partially see the large electronic Christmas display, which was very nice, we were still seated off to the side in the dark. While empty tables in the center remained empty throughout our time there. In spite of the smaller buffet options, the biggest disappointment came when it was time to leave and we asked them to validate our parking which we were shocked to discover they no longer do. No wonder the restaurant was empty during a big holiday weekend. The only people who would go to Villa de Flora now are the hotel guests and yet since the restaurant was the emptiest we’ve ever seen it, their guests didn’t even want to pay for the buffet. So if you live in Orlando as we do, you are no longer welcome at the restaurants at Gaylord Palms. They charged us $24 for parking which is outrageous. That’s almost the price of parking at the theme parks, except you’re at the parks all day and evening. Meanwhile The Palm at the Hard Rock Hotel and Shulas at Disneys Swan and Dolphin Resort still validate your parking. All the good hotels here do. So this was the last time we’ll be eating at Villa De Flora and I guess the restaurants at the Gaylord Palms will remain empty.
My wife and i were there for our 35th anniversary celebration. what a great find.
superb food service and the deserts were great.
We went after the ice sculptures. I would like to say some of the table seating is a bit dark. Was hard to see what you were eating. Depending on where you sat. I think they need to put a good lighted lamp or oil candle on those specifics dark tables to give off asequate light. Otherwise the food was very good. Plenty to choose from the Buffet. Very disappointed with the table. I would go again. And recommend to others.
The food is excellent . and the ambience is wonderful. I love to eat there. Especially the dessert variety. I just wish the bread pudding will be cold instead warm.
Was very satisfied with the buffet dinner, wonderful food. The display, ambience and value were excellent. We will be back and also recommend to family and friends.
We dined (breakfast & dinner) everyday at Villa de Flora during our stay at the Gaylord Palms Resort (23rd Dec - 29 Dec’18). Excellent food, service and ambience. Outstanding service by Jin (manager), Philippe, Ronald (Ron), Amanda and Ana.
PS: Lali needs more training...poor customer service.
Made a reservation for 7pm and when we arrived there was a line out the door, since the free show had just let out. I approached the hostess station to inform them we had a reservation and was told I had to wait in line. While in line I received an email that my reservation was cancelled, since we were late. About 10 parties were seated before they finally got to us. We were seated in the far back part of the restaurant next to the waitress station, despite my father being in a mobility chair, which made it difficult to navigate getting to the food bars. Service was disorganized, my hudbands ginger ale was filled with water before he could stop them and waiters hung out at the station popping bubble wrap until I finally asked someone to tell him to stop. The table are so close you get bumped everytime someone walks by.
At the buffet, there were visable stations that were empty and nobody seemed to be attending to the food, which resulted in entrees running very low and not being replenished. I had hoped for more given the location, but this was just your typical run of the mill, mediocre buffet.
The experience was good. A little pricey for a buffet. The food was petty good for a buffet. The waitress was super nice but the service was a bit slow. Overall it was a good experience and I would go back again,
This is not gourmet dining (food is average and selection average) The pasta and carving stations needed more servers. Our waiter, angel, was very attentive and helpful.
Food lines were too long. There was obvious shortage of help throughout. The food was lukewarm. We have been at the restaurant with guests on multiple occasions, and this was the poorest experience (12/27/2018)
The Salmon was undercooked; we could not eat it. The chicken was tough. The ambiance was pleasant. The rest of the food was good.
Our server Angel was outstanding 10 stars!!! Food was wonderful, it was all hot and fresh. We had brought friends with us and they where very impressed. The 4 of us will be going back to try the Sunday Brunch.
We all enjoyed the Elf brunch but price for adults was fine but 24.00 each for 2 ,5year olds was to much. Especially when one had 2 bites of waffle and glass of milk. Younger children need lower price.
Chef went out of his way to make our experience great
We went for the character breakfast since we were checked in the hotel. The kids were excited to see the elf in the shelf but thats really it. We had a reservation and there’s not a lot of people BuT we were placed on the farthest table!
We then had to wait wait wait for our drinks while we are already eating. Food selection is not that exciting also.. taste- just okay, nothing exceptional. Not a lot of choices.. not worth the $.
Better to pay some
More for the disney brunch..
Will we come back , definitely not!
We thought that it was going to be a great place to have lunch with the family , but it was the other way around. The food wasn't good at all, there were not to many options. The Buffett, was empty. Don't waste your money.
We went for the Elf on the Shelf breakfast around Christmas, it was not busy at all which was great, and the characters were awesome... but the service of our waiter and the food was horrible! I will not be going back there again and it’s ashame because it is a beautiful resort,
Great location in the hotel, beautiful food, excellent presentation, plenty of options, my kids loved the scout elves coming over for pictures! Was very surprised to get extra gift while leaving, very thoughtful. I would def would recommend.
It is an expensive meal out and we were aware of this before we went, what we didn't realise is that they have now stopped covering the car park charge. We spent over $100 on the meal and then had to pay $28 on top for parking and we were there less than two hours.
It's a shame as we would definitely have visited again but there is no way we are going to pay the extortionate parking costs.
Outstanding, as always. If you like a buffet, it is the best in town, dinner buffet features wonderful breads and salads, carved prime rib, coconut shrimp, desserts, it's all great. Breakfast buffet maybe even better. Sit on the open air patio for wonderful views of the Gaylord atrium. Just learned they may no longer be offering free parking for dining guests, if this is true, be prepared to pay $25 for the privilege of dining here (if you're a resort guest, you'll already be paying this fee). As much as I love the place, I'm not paying $25 to park to go to dinner. Hopefully this info I was recently given by my server was inaccurate. Otherwise, do yourself a favor, TRY IT!
The buffet was amazing and I recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for an upscale place to eat with a variety of choices.
We were extremely disappointed in our recent experience at Villa de Flora. We booked reservations a couple of months ago as part of our holiday celebration while attending ICE at The Gaylord and were excited about our dinner. Unfortunately, we quickly regretted our decision. The various food stations repeatedly ran out of food, resulting in lines of people waiting for more to be brought out. A couple of guests in our party finally gave up on getting food between the long waits at the buffet and the long walk from our table (we were seated in the very back of the restaurant and it was dark and dreary, despite the hotel’s festive holiday decor). Definitely not worth the money to dine here, especially when you’re in Orlando with abundant dining options.
