The selection wasn't as good as it use to be which affects the value and we were there at 5:30 and the food was warm at best and not replenished fast enough.
Parking upon arrival was a nightmare. The valet was nowhere to be found, cars were backed up to the point where I was unable to drop off others and self park. Upon entering the restaurant the staff was not very pleasant and were visibly frustrated and irritated with the fact that they were busy.
The food was great, the service was outstanding!!!
We have gone here quite a few times & food quality & choices this time were poor & the cost of the meal was not worth the quality.
Update your file on Villa de Flora. It’s incorrect :)
This was our first time here and I just felt like $38 per a person was alot.
Way overpriced for the food options. Regular buffet- nothing special at all.
I was there for their special event for Easter it was $70 per adult I’ve been there before but this time it was awful I got sick while I was there my husband and my son got sick the same night wrote a report out told the manager and I have still been waiting for their phone call very disappointed was there with six people and out of six people four of us got sick
The quality and abundance was definitely not as good as it was pre new construction. The dinner was not worth the cost. Villa de Flora definitely needs to improve. We frequently stay at the Gaylord and have always eaten there, we will definitely be looking for other options for dinning.
We absolutely love Villa de Flora. We eat there every time we stay at Gaylord Palms in Orlando.
We had a wonderful server and the atmosphere was terrific. However the food was awful. All of the places we ate at the hotel had terrible food.
We used to go the Gaylord Palms often and always had quality meals....this trip was a disappointment.
Cathy our server was amazing!! So nice and attentive. The evening we went there was a buffet. I think its always buffet style I am not sure. The food was good but was not hot some items were cold. The Prime rib and pork tenderloin were very tasty. We were walking around at 5pm so we decided to check the restaurant out in advance. We were greeted by Calvin the host. I explained it was my birthday and we wanted a nice table. We reserved a certain table for my reservation at 7:30 that evening, Calvin assured me it was not a problem. Unfortunately, when we arrived back for our reservation at 7:30 the table we reserved was already sat!! No Happy Birthday or apology from Calvin. Our server Cathy however, made it up to me she was the best!! Gaylord Palms is very lucky to have her!!!
The food was delicious! Our server was outstanding! He went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed ourselves!
Terrible waste of money barely any selection and now the servers at the buffet are extremely rude!!! Save your money and go somewhere else it’s totally not worth 50 dollars a person
Great place and service
Food offerings was very limited. Small servings now they serve you which is a shame as it has a nice ambience since it’s been renovated especially in the evening.
From breakfast then dinner it was amazing. The service was beyond excellent. Staff were so attentive amd made the experience very enjoyable.
Perfect meal for our first night staying at Gaylord Palms. The pasta station made my son’s night. Had just about everything on the buffet and enjoyed every bit of it. Although it is buffet style , they had servers for each dish with glass in front to keep it covid safe. Would definitely recommend heading here for one of your meals during your stay.
The service by our server, Rad, was outstanding. He was extremely attentive and personable. The contactless approach to the buffet was very well done. The overall variety of food offerings was good. As for the food itself, most entrees seemed to be on the dry side. The ambiance was too much like a cafeteria, very open and people constantly walking about. During these pandemic times, it was disappointing that Management and servers were not enforcing people to wear face masks while walking to and from the buffet
Really nice dinner, server was wonderful. All the people serving the buffet were very hospitable.
I understand they needed to change format from what it used to be due to COVID, but was taken aback by how much the buffet offerings have been reduced! Price has not been reduced proportionately! And our particular drinks server was friendly but very inattentive. Long-time customer, but won’t be going back anymore...
Amazing restaurant the service was amazing food was delicious
No longer the same quality of food compared to before renovations. One seafood dish (mahi mahi) and that was about it.
Extremely disappointed. The food quality and selection has gone down considerably, price has remained the same.
After eating there for many years we will never be back. The buffet was not very good. The selection was poor and the price went up
Wonderful experience during the holidays
This place used to be our favorite Christmas treat. But after this renovation the food options are much fewer and the selections are not as good of quality as they were. As well they raised the prices and they no longer validate your parking. (Currently $26 ). We live about 1.5 hours away and have made the trek every year around Christmas time. A $175 meal for two of only soso food ... We won’t be coming back any longer
The only problem I see is you might want to get more accommodating hostesses.
Amazing services, ambience and drinks, thanks to Jackeline, Merry Christmas.
We went to brunch for our anniversary and had a wonderful selection of food. The service was fantastic Angel kept our mimosas full.
Being the end of the holiday season, one would expect a better experience! As for the food choice, seafood-only shrimp & smoked salmon-with no accompanying items for smoked salmon, no capers no onions no cream cheese no bagels! There were no crab legs of any kind & at $40/person-you would expect a higher level of food like stone crab claws or caviar! Carving station was okay, they had the custom pasta at the same place (with only 1 cook) as the omelet/eggs. Long line to get that done. I will say that the braised pork belly on polenta was sublime! Desserts were nothing special either and this was co-located with the eggs Benedict station so you had to wait while the kids take 15 mins to decide what dessert the wanted while the EB’s were getting cold! Overall not a place to take people! Thank God they are now closed for renovations, maybe management can make this into a destination for a special meal vs. in typical resort town fashion overpriced & under value!
My husband’s birthday!
Jan 4, 2020 7:20 p.m. We were completely ignored by Matthew G who was supposed to be waiting on us. We asked several times for water, and twice we went looking for *ANY* server and only one server helped us multiple times. She said she had no idea where our server was. I asked her to let management know that we were being forgotten. No management showed up. When Matthew finally came to the table I said, "we feel like you have abandoned us," and he replied, "I have a big ticket to check out". So, I responded with, "water takes a moment, and I watched you at the register for 10 minutes. I have worked in food service before and you could have brought water for us a while back when we asked". MATTHEW ABANDONDED US and had someone else deliver the bill. AVOID Matthew. The food was decent, but the one star was due to the HORRIBLE SERVICE BY MATTHEW. We were also very surprised that a $37 buffet did not include at least tea or coffee - only water... thus our constant looking for Matthew.
UPDATE: Months later, the restaurant still has yet to contact us although we sent them a message about the horrible service.
Exorbitant prices that you have no way to opt out of if you’re looking for a hot breakfast at the resort. Over $115 dollars for 2 adults and 1 child for BREAKFAST (very standard buffet) with no additional beverages or add-ons. We expected resort prices (it is a resort, after all) but this is overpriced and underwhelming at best.
Horrible food and service. Paid almost $200 for breakfast that was a total waste of time. Never again.
En openbtable ponen un menú que no está disponible. Hablan de una paella valenciana que no estaba. No dicen que es un Bufet
The quality of food has gone down hill. Service was great but for the type of food not worth 65 PP.
Brunch didn’t even have breakfast items in it. I drove 100 miles for their brunch and didn’t have items they said would be on menu. So poor I may never go back - and had been going there for more than 10 years.
Good except waiter disappeared for 20 minutes and it was hard to get someone to service the carving station.
