Vienna Cafe & Wine Bar Ratings and Reviews
I have had great experiences at this restaurant before this would NOT be one of them. The server was less than adequate he was not familiar with menu items, he had to read the menu/specials, misrepresented certain menu items and was not attentive. I had reserved a booth and was not sat at one, I also stated in my reservation that it was my wife's Birthday and after ordering dessert no candle was brought out only to have my wife witness another table receive a chocolate cake with candles. If you are a married man this is a nightmare that cost me a couple hundred dollars! I really want to love this place because it is well put together and close to home. I do cautiously plan on returning but I will not accept service from that gentlemen.
Everthinf was just ok. Our server was helpful and friendly - but he food came out very slow. One dish was cold and the server was on top of it offering a free salad or soup while we waited for it to be replaced. It was very noisey - the seats with backs to the room could not hear. No one walked away thrilled.
Reserved a table for my parents anniversary. They had an absolute fantastic time. They simply raved about Vienna Cafe. The food and wine were great and they loved the privacy and ambiance of this nice restaurant. Thank you for making their special day even more special.
I am in the Plantation / Davie / Sunrise, FL area for work several times each year and somehow I hadn't been to Vienna Cafe & Wine Bar. After seeing all of the vewry good OpenTable reviews, I decided to try it this past Tuesday night, and I am glad that I did. The Salmon entree, 1/2 of a Vienna salad and a side of asparagus were all delicious. My server was Remus and he was excellent and assisted with my wine selection by informing me that Monday and Tuesday nights are 50% off any bottle of wine less than $55, than a discount for any bottles more than $55. For the $55 or less bottles which were also on the wine by the glass menu, the bottle was cheaper than 2 glasses. Thanks to Remus, i went for a bottle and took the rest with me. Very enjoyable dinner and I will go back next time I in town.
Very disappointing experience. Salad came with no dressing, waiter was very hard to understand, table location was terrible by the front door and on the other side of the welcome desk . Phone rang all night very distracting. My husband ordered a rib eye medium and it came out well done and had very little taste .
This used to be one of our favorite dinner spots, but we won’t be back .
Second time there all servers work well together and complement each other enjoy the atmosphere mostly old school dining. Had some lady walk over to interrupt our dinner with her empty glass of water very rude she could have gone to a server but had to interrupt our dinner night. Fortunately my date would not allow me on the way out to male a comment to her at her table with another couple although I would have enjoyed interrupting her dinner conversation as she did mine.
For special occasions or for just dining with someone special, you can never go wrong at Vienna Café. In the many years our family has visited them for a meal, we have never been disappointed. They really try hard to please. Although a little more expensive than most local dining spots, it is worth it.
We love Vienna Cafe and Wine Bar. The food is always marvelous and prepared to perfection! For starters we had a shrimp appetizer. It was so tasty with jumbo shrimp. We had the Mahi-Mahi with Mussels as our main dish. I forgot to mention that we also had a Sonoma Salad with raisins, walnuts, and gorgonzola cheese. The bread is to die for! We are never disappointed and we drive 30 to 40 minutes! We will be returning soon.
The restaurant also has gift cards which are great for the holidays!
After dropping off a menu and bringing water we didn't see our waiter for 20 minutes. We finally had to ask the hostess to send him over. We had a Sonoma salad which was very good and had excellent dressing. We both ordered Jaeger schnitzel. The veal was good, but the sauce was overwhelming and everything was just piled on the plate. It was hard to determine where the veal stopped and the potatoes/vegetables began. Not an awful experience, but not great either.
