Vienna Cafe & Wine Bar Ratings and Reviews
Very disappointing experience. Salad came with no dressing, waiter was very hard to understand, table location was terrible by the front door and on the other side of the welcome desk . Phone rang all night very distracting. My husband ordered a rib eye medium and it came out well done and had very little taste .
This used to be one of our favorite dinner spots, but we won’t be back .
Second time there all servers work well together and complement each other enjoy the atmosphere mostly old school dining. Had some lady walk over to interrupt our dinner with her empty glass of water very rude she could have gone to a server but had to interrupt our dinner night. Fortunately my date would not allow me on the way out to male a comment to her at her table with another couple although I would have enjoyed interrupting her dinner conversation as she did mine.
For special occasions or for just dining with someone special, you can never go wrong at Vienna Café. In the many years our family has visited them for a meal, we have never been disappointed. They really try hard to please. Although a little more expensive than most local dining spots, it is worth it.
We love Vienna Cafe and Wine Bar. The food is always marvelous and prepared to perfection! For starters we had a shrimp appetizer. It was so tasty with jumbo shrimp. We had the Mahi-Mahi with Mussels as our main dish. I forgot to mention that we also had a Sonoma Salad with raisins, walnuts, and gorgonzola cheese. The bread is to die for! We are never disappointed and we drive 30 to 40 minutes! We will be returning soon.
The restaurant also has gift cards which are great for the holidays!
After dropping off a menu and bringing water we didn't see our waiter for 20 minutes. We finally had to ask the hostess to send him over. We had a Sonoma salad which was very good and had excellent dressing. We both ordered Jaeger schnitzel. The veal was good, but the sauce was overwhelming and everything was just piled on the plate. It was hard to determine where the veal stopped and the potatoes/vegetables began. Not an awful experience, but not great either.
Vienna Cafe never disappoints. I grew up in a Danish-American household so really enjoy their Danish food - especially the New Year's and Easter brunches. I'm a big fan of their regular menu too. Usually I get a special or seafood. I get my steaks at Council Oaks or Steak 954; however, I ordered the filet medallions with a blue cheese sauce on this visit to Vienna Cafe and this was as good as anything I've had in recent memory. Such a nice, quaint venue with food that always exceeds expectations, and much to my liking, they know their wine too!
We have always like this restaurant. We went there to try their Crave FTL menu, but because of the coming hurricane, it was not available. I had the lamb chops and they were very good, but one of the three double chops was overdone. My wife had the beef stroganoff and she loved it. It was my birthday the next day and when my wife mentioned it they brought out a big slice of chocolate cake with whipped cream with a candle in it and no, without any fanfare. it was the perfect end to a very good dinner.
This is one of my favorite local restaurants and it never disappoints. Four friends/former coworkers hadn't seen each other for a while, we were there for 2 1/2 hours on a Saturday lunch but we were never rushed.
Loved everything we got--beef strononoff (lunch portion) blt with avocado, cobb salad, fried artichokes, wedge salad.
I'm a foodie and former food and restaurant critic. I've been here around 10 times and it's always been a well oiled machine .... and the seasoning and serve temperatures have been impeccable and servers are well schooled in all areas of front of the house service
Vienna cafe had a very nice atmosphere. The service was great. We had a table for 8 & we were at a nice table & able to hear each other when we spoke. After dinner, a few people, not from our party went outside to have a cigar. The smell was very noticeable at our table. It ruined the experience at some level & therefore unfortunate. If u went back, I would request not to sit in that section
