Vienna Cafe & Wine Bar Ratings and Reviews
My "foodie" friends absolutely loved it here. I have been on several occasions and don't venture out of my comfort zone that often when it comes to food. After hearing their rave reviews, accompanied by smiles and sheer satisfaction, I tried the foie gras. And, much to my pleasant surprise, I enjoyed it very much.
Loved the Chicken Vienna, which is a popular staple and it's easy to see why. Just wonderful flavors all combine for a simple but hearty dish.
Tilefish special was uneventful and when we told our wonderful server, he was extremely understanding and even took it off the bill without hesitation.
Corkage fee is $25.00, which is not advertised online, or at least I couldn't find it, so I had to call.
All in all an absolutely splendid dinner with great friends in a warm and special atmosphere.
We really like Vienna WC. Been there many times.
This time the main dining room held a luncheon for a large group that was extremely loud. The rest of the parties were seated in the smaller adjacent room. The volume level was ridiculous. It is fine to hold a large party but just close the restaurant. Not fair to the rest of us to be subjected to their event. We paid the same price correct?
Dinned on a Thursday night plenty of tables available. Waiter wasn't the best ,actually it was hard to understand him. He told me about the kinds of soup ; beef veg. And potato and our tomato bisk. So I order the potado he wrote it down.
When the soup arrived it look liked beef veg. I brought his attention I ordered the potado he said there are potados
in it. I said I thought you said you had a potato soup he said I meant beef veg and potato I said exactly I wanted the potado. Come to find out it was beef veg with potados.
My issue was I ordered potado why would take that order wouldn't you say it's beef veg with potados. He just spoke like a robot and hard to understand.
We greatly enjoy visiting this restaurant. The atmosphere is delightful. Fresh rose bouquets are always in the main dining room which add to the atmosphere.
The food has improved in the past year. Most of the entrees are outsanding. The service is very good. The servers are well trained and knowledgeable.
I absolutely LOVE this restaurant. You will never be dissatisfied ordering anything on the menu. However, beware is your server is JACK. He is the most judgmental and rude waiter. I ordered a side of string beans, which I have ordered before, and when it came I put some salt on it. He went on to say: "woah! You haven't even tasted them!" I told him that I knew what they tasted like because it wasn't my first time. He then let on to tell me that he wanted a bill from my cardiologist. I told him my heart is great (I'm 26, get blood tests every year, and I have a very clean diet). To which he rudely told me that salt will KILL me.
Next, he brought my friend two different martini's throughout the dinner. First a peach martinis and then a lychee martini. When he brought the second one (after the string bean incident) he told him that this one was for "his health" and looked straight at me like he was insinuating the whole salt dilemma again. Jack came back and asked my friend about his martinis and which he liked better. My friend solely replied that the lychee seemed stronger. Jack proceeded to going from rude to sexist because his replied entailed that the peach martinis was more for ladies while pointing at me. Little does he know that I LOVE the lychee martinis this place serves but that night I wanted a red cup of wine.
This place is fantastic, but Jack's service is the worst. Whatever you do, if this is your waiter just request another one. Trust me, you'll be glad you did it.
We have been to this restaurant numerous times over the years. Normally the food is excellent.
My wife had a fish dish from the specials menu that she was quite happy with. Me and my two grown sons however had vienerschnitzel and unfortunately that was disappointing.
The meat and breaking was overcooked and dry. Served on a huge pile of red beats and a few potatoes.
I normally like this dish and I guess I have to look elsewhere.
