Vienna Cafe & Wine Bar Ratings and Reviews
This little gem of a restaurant really took me by surprise! I had passed it for years and always wanted to give it a try, but the "Wine Bar" in the name lead me to think they didn't serve cocktails (I'm not much of a wine drinker). I had heard the food and service was outstanding so last Friday night I was surfing TO for something different when I came upon Vienna and took a look at their page. Great menu and a full bar! I'm in! The table was ready when we arrived for our reservation. We were greeted so pleasantly by the hostess and then our wonderful server. The food, service, atmpsphere and ambiance were all just perfect and made for a great night out! We will be back soon!
My wife and I went for our second visit to this fine establishment and once again we were pleased with everything. Excellent wine list we chose a meritage (Magnificat) My wife had the scallop appetizer I had the Tomato Florentine soup both were superb. For mains my wife had the lamb chops and was decidedly dissappointed that she opted for the smaller portion they were so good. I had the 16oz bone in RIbeye with a coffee rub, it literally melted in your motuh and was cooked to perfection. All in all we are very happy to have found this gem close to home.
Went here for a celebration dinner with a friend. It is a genuine surprise in an area that has had its ups and downs. Ask for Deeann (sp?). Her personality is exactly what the restaurant industry calls for. Bright, bubbly and knowledgeable about her menu. I think it's difficult to screw up a Ceasar salad, but when it's done we'll, it's a real treat. I had the Frikedeller just because I was in the mood for adventure and, the sides of pickled cabbage and cukes were just great. The escargot were heavenly especially with the bottle of domestic sparkling wine recommended by Deeann. My friend's potato-crusted salmon was fantastic and perfectly cooked. Just go and make a reservation...it was busy even on a Thursday evening. I'll be back.
The daily special soups are fresh, unique and flavorful. The many different cuisines represented should appeal to all diners. My favorite lunch is the Hamburger au Poivre. It's as good as a steak on a bun can get. Many fresh fish entries every day. A very important factor to the over all experience is the staff has been there for a long time and they know what they are doing. A job well done by Vienna Cafe... Jerry Roth
We have never been disappointed at Vienna. While the menu is pretty stable, special creations are available each day. Their wine list is varied, affordable, and has plenty of European wine options, including a short, but decent wine by the glass selection. The servers are so friendly and work well together.
TheViennaWine Bar makes me feel as though I am back in Europe again! The food and service is excellent and the staff are friendly. Although it is tucked away in the western most part of the Pine Island Ridge shopping center, it is actually easy to reach as it is right off I-595 and Pine Island Road. It is a lovely place to celebrate an event, and there is a private room which can be reserved for such special occasions.
I enjoyed a great evening at this charming little spot tucked away by the " always under construction I-595".
Don't let that deter you. Persevere through all the shunted exits on Broward's most driven road, and you will be rewarded
by a lovely meal, good service, and charming atmosphere. Lucky southwest Broward residents!!
My husband and I enjoyed our most recent visit with the terrific team at Vienna Cafe & Wine Bar. So lovely and not at all rushed. Wonderful food, from the appitizer through to our dessert course. Oh, and the wine was wonderful, too. Only dissapointment was the Lobster Pot Pie, one of the specials of the night, was sold out (before 7pm!). Over all the experience has us talking about our next visit. Yum.
The food is consistently excellent here. Every time I come it is terrific. I came with a party of 3 to celebrate an anniversary. We had wine (house was great). The duck is always excellent. The skin is crisp. The potato crusted salmon is cooked perfectly. For a consistent and excellent food experience you must try Vienna Cafe. It is not the cheapest in town, but it is well worth the price. They gave us a complimentary glass of champagne to celebrate the occasion. I do believe their cappuccino's are better than Star Bucks.
My husband and I went here for our anniversary and fell in love with the place. The menu is very well rounded with many choices and our dinner was excellent! We enjoyed ourselves and ended up staying almost 3 hours while enjoying 4 courses. It is a little pricey, but worth it. We will go back!
We have been coming here for probably 15 years or longer several times a year. It is a place we really enjoy. The service is always excellent and the food great. We have no recommendations for change because it is perfect.
I like the fact it is more of a quieter crowd without a lot of noisy "family" and we have 6 grand children so we love family and kids but sometimes it is nice to go out to an adult place.
The only thing my husband would like is for you to carry Miller Lite Beer; that is the only one he really enjoys and you don't have it in your establishment. I always find a nice red wine I love.
We are a frequent dinner at the Café. I wanted to preface this, since our service at dinner Saturday evening was borderline poor. My husband I I had dinner with my 85yr old mother and her boyfriend. Both use walkers. I had noted this on the reservation, to make sure they gave us a roomy table. They placed us right outside the reception desk, in a TINY table. Our server was NEW, spoke very softly in a Very noisy restaurant. Dinner was fantastic, steak, duck fish all on the mark. Once dinner was served and we had coffee, we NEVER were asked about desert or shown a Desert tray.
I just want everyone to know the restaurant has Great food, as is usually a 10 t all times. What a difference a poor waiter makes.
The food is always great with a wide selection. Schnitzel and duck are my favorite. Service is always friendly and willing
to talk to you. You can learn a lot from a friendly waiter. For a special dinner we always go there. One of the few places left that prepares duck especially on the west side of town.
As a frequent diner at this restaurant it is difficult to recommend one special dish. Everything is well prepared and and consistently excellent. My favorite is the pork chop, but my last dinner was the double potato crusted salmon. It was superb. The service is friendly and they are extremely attentive and knowledgable.
This restaurant has wonderful decor and ambiance, but has limitations due to space. Mother's day was crowded as it
is everywhere, and this made for a challenging buffet line. There simply isn't enough space in this little restaurant
for a buffet line at full capacity. Food and selection while very good, was nothing really special or outsstanding comparatively
to other brunches I've been to and spending over $30 per head. Overall a postive experience, I was just hoping for better.
Vienna Cafe is one of our favorite places to dine in all of South Florida. The food is excellent and the staff makes you fees like they are truly glad you are dining with them. If you have friends on the east side of Broward and out in Weston, this is a wonderful palce to meet.
We had not been to the Vienna Cafe and Wine Bar for over a year or two. While we enjoyed our dinner (the food was very good) and wine, there seemed to be a chaotic feel to the service and attention to detail was missing. We had to ask for bread, while watching others receive theirs; my steak came with the sauce on it when I asked for it on the side.
Our waiter was quite pleasant and had good wine recommendations. The food continues to be quite good but the atmosphere, on the night we were there, was a little off from previous visits. We will go back and try again because we like the food and have had it on on our list of local favorites--we want it to be great!
If you seek to have a true dining experience the Vienna Wine Bar will provide it! The restaurant is hidden in the midst of a shopping mall, but once you enter the door, you will find yourself in old world charm and elegance. The tables are beautifully set and you are greeted with welcoming smiles from staff. The menu is filled with wonderful and creative selections and the wine list is impressive, the food, wine and service are excellent. When you add the relaxed and conversation-friendly atmosphere... You have a true dining experience!
We went to the restaurant many months ago for a drink and thought it would be fun to try dinner given the interesting menu. Our general assessment is that the place is OK. Not great, not awful. The service was good and was on par with what I would expect for a restaurant that offers entrees priced in the $25-30 range. The food was nothing special. The meatball appetizer was lukewarm. The entrees were hot and sufficient in size, but the taste was not anything I would rave over. The stroganoff was a bit too heavy on the vinegar. My partner had the jaeger schnitzel. She said she enjoyed it, but not to the point of having to return to have it again. The strudel we had for dessert was tasty. We didn't hate it. We didn't love it.
