The food here is very good. Taste!
Flavors are there. Portions perfect.
Something for everyone.
Wait staff needs training so to talk about thee menu better and provide recommendations for first time diners.
We were tourists visiting York Pennsylvania and discovered Victor's for some Italian cuisine. With Boston's North End and Worcester's Shrewsbury Street back home, to compare, we were not disappointed. The reservation was easy online. The parking was convenient. The staff was friendly and made helpful suggestions.
The chef's pairing recommendations were great and the preparation was artful and delicious. If we come back to this part of Pennsylvania again, we will definitely make a revisit.
I had a great 1st visit to Victors. The ambiance was perfect for our date night. The Coffee Salmon and The Spinach Shrimp Linguine were amazing. I cannot wait to go back on a mild summer night and sit outside and enjoy myself. One of York's great restaurants.
Loud! Very uncomfortable evening.
Impossible to have a conversation with friends !
Also, they seated the 4 us at a large round table for 6 and they refused to seat us at a 4 top.
If you want an uncomfortable evening or you don’t want to talk to you dinner partner, goto Victor’s for dinner!
Victor's never disappoints. Food is always excellent, service is top notch and very friendly, the cocktails are creative ( I'm particularly happy with the Victor's Biscotti after dinner drink) and the young man that oversees the operation of the facility will be insuring that your experience at Victor's one to be remembered no matter what the occasion.
Great Food, interesting location, never would have thought to look there! That is how I would describe Victors.
The food from start to finish was well done! We split an Italian Sausage Crostini for appetizer and found it to be flavorful . We then both had classic Italian wedding soup which was welcome on a cold night and finally we both selected pasta for our main course. She had Radiatori with sausage and kale and I had Orzo with crab. The menu has a nice selection of pasta, fish and meat.
Sunday night was a great night to come out as they were less busy although the bar was pretty full. The service was right on time and my water glass never hit bottom all evening. Food came out on time as we moved briskly through our courses.
the location is interesting. I would never have thought to look for an upscale restaurant in that neighborhood but it is in a renovated church which offers off street parking. The decor is a cross between classy and quaint and they even have a courtyard for dining when the weather warms. All in all we liked it and would return again another night.
Everyone enjoyed there meal but the veal special was amazing. Excellent service.
Awesome food Bill the manager took pride and care for all the customers staff was out of this world keep up the great work.. Thank you.
My friend from Philly loved it so much that we stopped in the second evening just for a drink. The first evening was dinner with a drink. The Martini was outstanding, according to Beth. Will definitely be my new go to place when company comes.
Very good food with excellent attentive service without being overly attentive. The specials are always something a little different, ones you don't usually find in an Italian eatery. I would recommend Victor's for a good evening out with family and friends or a special occasion.
First time there. Recommended by others. Nice place, live music in the bar. Food was good, service was excellent. Plenty of convenient off-street parking. Renovated church in a quiet neighborhood.
We had a fabulous meal and great service. Our Waitress was exceptional,
Excellent food- excellent service! We will be back!
I liked that the menu was simple and descriptive and didn't include too many dishes and specials. Wine list was great. Service was great, friendly and just the right visiting and checking up. Food was well prepared and presented well and was delicious. Husband and I would come again and bring some friends along.
After presenting and personally visiting the restaurant we were very disappointed in their willingness to keep our party together. I even expressed that I'd go to another restaurant if they could not accommodate seating us in proximity where we could be together. The management were not willing to co operate on the day of our dinner and refused to accommodate, with any suggestions, including letting us have a table for which another party more than half hour late had as yet not shown up. It ruined the whole purpose for us to get together, especially, as we all rarely can get together . I will strongly recommend not to go to this restaurant if your party is larger than 6.
I would come back to this restaurant weekly if I lived closed. We had the cheese and meat mix for an appetizer shared for 5. It was okay, not the best I ever had. The wedding soup, mussels and the Caesar Salad was very very good. One of the nice things about this restaurant is you can get lots of dishes in small plates. Now for the main course the Veal Saltimbocca was great, Veal and Eggplant Parmesan was raved about. The Linguine Balinese had spinach linguine that was homemade pasta. It was the best I have eaten. They have great bread and lots of pasta are made in house. We had no room for desert.
Victor’s is our favorite restaurant in York. Food is delicious, service is amazing as well as the atmosphere. Highly recommend.
Best meal ever! We treat ourselves every couple months to a meal at Victor’s and are never disappointed. Had a Rockfish special with cannelloni beans and kale and it was one of the best meals I’ve had anywhere! Great bar and great service too.
The evening was delightful. Service was wonderful, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming and the food grand.
They also have a nice selection of beer, wine and liquor. I definitely recommend Victor’s Italian Restaurant.
We had dinner with two other couples. No one raved about their meal. My Kale salad was good, as was the Cresta de Gallo pasta dish. The Halibut and Salmon entries were over cooked for at least three of us. The risotto that came with the Halibut was the typical restaurant version, which I've come to expect, overcooked and over-creamed. The wine pours that came with the PREZZO FISSO Chef’s Italian Table selections were about 2/3 what I would expect in volume. Overall, not a good food experience, especially for the money. The service was good, not spectacular, and the dining room was quite noisy. That said, the restaurant was full on a Saturday night, so our experience may have been an exception.
Very busy on a Friday night. We had a 645 reservation but had to wait about 15 minutes for a table. We waited in the bar and it was quite comfortable. When we were seated we received good service and the gnocchi was excellent.
Halibut was tasty but the risotto and carrots were cold. I enjoyed the veal parm.
Always great food and service. Get a reservation because of the popularity.
I'm extremely satisfied with Victor's as my selection for this special evening. I will definitely darken their entrance again, and again. Thank you Victor's for showing me a fabulous time.
Great food, atmosphere and parking.
This is a fantastic restaurant! I took my girlfriend here for Valentine's Day. She had never been here previously and absolutely loved the place! The wine list is superb, the service is top notch and the food is phenomenal! We will definitely be going back.
In spite of it being Valentine Day - with all of the possible craziness that might mean - every aspect of our dining experience was efficient, cordial and delicious.
There was a special menu for Valentine’s Day and it was outstanding. Our service was excellent and we did not feel rushed despite having an early seating. Well done!
Great lunch, will return again.
The dinner I ordered “Chicken and Rustic Vegetables” was not what I received. On the menu the dinner was described as Chicken with turmeric and lemon rind served with rustic vegetables and olives. I asked the server what was meant by rustic vegetable. He said Carrots, celery, onions, “soup like veggies.” This sounded good to me. I ordered it. What I received was chicken (well seasoned!) BUT on top of sliced (unseasoned plain) white potatoes lying in a lot of grease. There were 2 carrots on the plate, a lemon wedge, a few sliced olives, and no other vegetables. This was not a good meal at all. Do not order this. Our salads were forgotten. They were delivered after the main courses arrived. My husbands filet was under seasoned and not cooked to the ordered temperature. We were very disappointed in this meal.
Always good and consistent. Servers are all personable and remember you and the veal Saltimbocca is awesome. Top off the meal with a tartufo...
Great food and excellent service. Tough combination to beat!
Valentines/Anniversary dinner. Great food, nice menu, great service!! We felt well cared for.
We had a nice dinner with friends; however, one guest's meal arrived cold. Needless to say, we were disappointed with that but the host addressed the problem swiftly. It's worth a second try.
Decided to go to dinner after the movies on "date night". The service was EXCELLENT and the food was great. The smaller available portions were just right for a late night dinner (especially with a good wine).
Will definitely be returning with my date of 28 years...
The waitstaff are well informed and friendly. They take time to explain and discuss menu and drink options. Food is always delicious and the chef is inventive. Recommend anything on the menu. Noise level can be high at times depending on customers.
A reliable and steady performer with interesting menu specials and a very good beet salad that can work as an entree. Tight seating makes the place cozy but not so that everyone is in your business.
A worthy alternative to the mid-price menu scene.
Very disappointed . Pasta was overcook.
Just was not worth the trip .
Service and food fantastic. House red wine was excellent. Will definitely come back next time I am in York, PA.
