Waiter and server very pleasant; for some reason hostess did not have our Open Table reservation??? Not her fault but she was able to accommodate us within 15 minutes.
Did the 100 dollar meal for two for Valentine's Day. Was not worth the money. Don't get me wrong the food was good but not worth what I paid for

I found this restaurant on TripAdvisor and chose it to celebrate my 61st birthday with my best friend. The noise level was ideal for conversation with smooth jazz and the soultry sound of Nat King Cole playing in the background. The decor was exquisite with houndstooth and cream, the food was very good and the drinks on point. I was visiting from Georgia and discovered this little gem and my friend who lives in the area, said she definitely will be returning to this hotspot
The ambiance is lovely at Victor's although we changed tables because the initial one was just too dark. The piano playing was lovely. The waiter was attentive and friendly, would highly recommend asking for Maurice. However, on the downside, the time it took to receive our salads was excessive, then again - a loooong wait for our meals. Perhaps there was not enough kitchen staff on hand because of a larger party in a private room? Unfortunately, after the excessive wait, some of the food was overcooked.
We went to Victor's to celebrate a colleagues promotion. The food and service were great.

The food was delicious but the service was slow, impersonal, and extremely unenthusiastic.
This place has sincere potential. It was obvious it was founded on an actual goal of excellent food with a story and craft service. It was totally lacking in the service portion. Food was excellent but there was no sincerity and an even more embarrassing lack of effort regarding service.
Perfect example- I ordered a signature cocktail and waited over ten minutes for it to be delivered. Rather than an apology I got "The bartender said these were really involved with lots of steps and annoying to make." Then we ordered the charcuterie plate. A different server dropped it off to us and didn't say a word about the options set before us. Our actual server came by twice and never commented on the selections either. These were glaring examples or lack of investment in the service of the place.
We wanted to try Victors to scope out the food for special occasions. We arranged to go with some friends who had been before and were disappointed; this happened several years ago. They wanted to go back to see if the food had improved. We were favorably impressed with the food and the service and the price point of the restaurant. The restaurant was classy but not overly pretentious and the clientele in attendance was very classy and the noise level was very well controlled, so conversation was easy. All in our party thought the food was delicious and well prepared. I particularly appreciated the seasoning balance in all the dishes. The chef did not think over salting the food was synonymous with flavor, as some restaurants in the area seem to think. As long as the food continues to be of the caliber we encountered on our visit, we will keep coming back. Kudos to the piano playing of the charming lady providing the entertainment also. Our waiter was very good but the initial guy who seated us seemed very confused. We had reservations for two and when we got there, the table hadn't been set up yet (we were late getting, to add). Seemed like it took the host longer than it should've to clean off a table. But after we got seated, all was well. I'd go back again
