They brought our desserts before we got our entrees. Another group had exceptionally loud voices. But love the food and the atrium room. Great prix fixe lunch!

After getting on my OpenTable app to find an intimate and Latin dining location to take out my handsome date, I found Victor’s Café. After viewing their menu and their reviews, I immediately decided that this was where my guy and I were going to eat at.

The hostess was very friendly and very professional. She sat me earlier than my reservation time since I had arrived about 15 minutes early.

The ambiance at this establishment was very intimate and very beautiful. The salsa music playing throughout the restaurant brought me back to my roots which was awesome and it set the Cuban themed atmosphere.

Our server was awesome; he made us feel cozy and taken care of. He even suggested water selections, which is always a plus when I do dine out. The drinks were ON POINT! I enjoyed a Coconut Mojito and my guy enjoyed a Passion Mojito (which both came along with a sugarcane which was cool). The food—small in portion, was indeed absolutely flavorful and satisfying. The Ropa Vieja and the Vaca Frita were our entrees of choice and again, was so good and satisfying.

We were offered coffee and/or dessert, and as much as I really did want to order their arroz con leche, we needed to catch a movie. So next time!

Overall, the entire dining experience we had at Victor’s Café was impressive, cozy and perfect. I see my handsome date and I returning again sometime soon.

Thank you Victor’s Café!!

Food was delicious but servers were clearly trying to turn over the table very fast. We had plates taken away while we were still eating!

Forced to make a post theater reservation for 5PM, arrived and wasn't seated until (pressed by me) until 5:30, which would have been ok if there were not clearly an abundance of available tables. My 10 year old ordered a drink and immediately knocked it over, the waiter brought another and then charged us for it without concern as to why the drink was knocked over (where it was placed on the table). The waiter were awesome otherwise and the food authentic but the portions were small. Having been there before, we ordered on and off the menu, remember to ask for anything you might expect from a Cuban restaurant as not all the items appear on the menu.

The food was good; it's a good Cuban restaurant but the service was just ok. Tables around us were getting plantain chips but we had to ask for it becasue it never came . The portions are not large at all and the prices seemed a bit much for what costs so much less across the river in Union City.
Good Cuban - the Guava crumble was sooo good.
The rabo was very good also.

The food was phenomenal and the service was outstanding. This place has been around since the ‘60s and there’s a reason for it. It’s very well priced for what you get and it’s close to everything theater in NYC.

I've been to Victor's many times because I'm a sucker for Cuban food, but the place is really just okay. It's in Times Square and so the prices are high, the food portions are small, and the drink sizes are scandalously miniscule. Every time I go I swear I'll never go back, but I always do.

As always, a fabulous evening at Victor's. I brought a first-time-to -New Yorker here, and she was sold 1000x over! Everything was great, but that guava cobbler dessert is totally other worldly!!!!

The waiter we had was not particularly friendly. And it was only him. The rest made the experience more pleasurable.

There was a band that day and we wanted to dance to the band. They played a shorty set went on break and that break lasted forever. Eventually we just left. (We stayed quite q while waiting for them to return) The food was not spectacular and we had what I think would be a basically common dishes that should be done well: arroz con pollo and pulled meat. It was ok. It should have been spectacular. But the ennvironment was great and it was romantic and that made the date that much more special. We were not upset about the band but part of the date comprised of having an Anniversary dance with a live band. That didn’t happen. Oh well. Maybe another time it will go better.

Cuban cuisine at it's finest.....

Awesome restaurant everything was mouth watering delicious. I had as an appetizer the chicken soup, which was not on the menu but a daily special, lots of chicken and chunks of chicken in a rich chicken broth, sounds simple chicken with some noodles and yet complex in flavors. What an opener. I then had the house special and traditional Cuban dish the ropa vieja !!! Well all I can say is "wow". I cook a lot and rarely go out and like to think I can copy if not make it better than most restaurants. I am bent and determined to try to make this but the spices used in almost everything here at Victors is very complex and not easy to decipher...I think I figured out two of the spices and I'm gunna go with that but there were others and the dish of the best slow cooked and pulled beef you'll ever have had a very slight sweet hint to it. Gawd it was to die for. Plantain chips were delivered to the table with a salsa dipping sauce, au gratis, our server said it was like going to another restaurant and they serve bread. Man o man were they awesome, thin and very lightly salted. We had a pitcher of red sangria to wash everything down. My partner had aguacate relieno. I heard it was very very good but I never even got a smidgen to try...imagine that. I'll just have to go back and order it myself...LOL. As a main he had the arroz con pollo...a chicken and rice dish....now I did manage to get a few fork fulls of this in to try myself....yummmmm..need I say more....nope, nada !!! This is a must go to again restaurant for me....you should in all honesty not pass this gem up. Been around since 1963 and you'll see just why that's so when you try the food for yourself. Hats off to the management, the chefs and staff that work this restaurant. The restaurant makes you want to go check out Cuba for sure and if not just settle on Victors to take you there through their impeccable service and awesome cuisine !!! Don't say I didn't tell you sooooooo...!!

We visited NYC to see a Broadway show and found Victor’s as we searched for a place to eat. We were glad we picked it. Walking distance from out hotel and though we had to settle for an early reservation the food was excellent and the service outstanding! We particularly enjoyed the creative (to us) use of plantains!

I ordered the paella. Unfortunately, the shrimp was overcooked. The Coconut Mojito was very good. I recommend it. However, the rest of the dish was very good. The restaurant was very crowded and busy and noisy. Our waiter was divided among many tables but he did his best. I like the decor and will probably be back.

We chose ictor's Cafe restaurant soley from the reviews on Open Table. They were SO right! We decided to order one meal feom the price fixe and one a la carte. There was more than enough of the shrimp cerviche appetizer and flan dessert to share. Our entrees, salmon with pineapple salsa and Cuban hamburger were absolutely delicious. The fried plantains and red pepper salsa offered instead of bread is totally addictive. The server, Angelo, was attentive but not annoying. He even asked if we were attending the theater and what was the curtain time to insure we'd get out in enouh time. We sat in the back room - reminiscent of a patio, complete with hanging vines and paddle fans. Simply charming. One minor misstep - please have half and half for the coffee.
