Excellent menu selection and drink list. The food was delicious and portion size generous. The wait was very attentive and responded to all request immediately. The room was lit with great mood lighting and soft music was in the background. No loud conversations to disturb you and your party. A great time was had by all.
Everything was great, had variety of appetizers and entrees. Victors special beef dish is worth it, had to repeat an order of it as kids loved it very much. Will certainly go back again.
Busy night. Waited about 35 mins to be seated. With a reservation. Staff was very apologetic and friendly. Food and ambiance was great. Ropa Vieja dish was a little disappointing. It’s my go to order whenever I dine somewhere that offers it. It was so sweet. Like sugar sweet. Not a fan. Everything else was delicious. Especially the Coconut Mojitos. Server was very nice.
Food was yummy, service was great! Will definitely be back..
Great experience from start to finish! Love this place!
Much better than expected! Cuban cuisine at its best! Nice ambiance, excellent service, beautiful restaurant, great location.
Wonderful evening, the food was excellent and the service was wonderful!
First time here but will definitely go back. We were about 30 minutes early for our reservation but they were accommodating. The food was delicious - the ropa vieja was just like my family makes it- and our server, Mr. Armando, could not have been sweeter or more attentive.
Amazing food and superb service!!!
Food was wonderful as always! Mojitos are the best
Victors remains one of my favorite places to eat in mid-town. Food is always delicious!
When I’m NYC, Victor’s Cafe is always on our list of restaurants. The service and food is always amazing.
From the moment we entered the staff were welcoming and attentive. We started our dinner with the empanadas, Havana guac and bartolito. All were delicious - the guac was so fresh, the chicken in the empanadas so tasty but it was the bartolito that blew us away. The combination of ingredients created this flavor medley that had us all wishing there were more than three to go around.
Entrees didn’t disappoint-paella de mariscos, ponle tops a la vaca and lechon asado. We shared bites across the table and every dish was delectable.
Oh, and the sangria was also on point!
The best Cuban food.
Was charged $105 over the bill. They tried to swindle me. Luckily I noticed and wouldn’t sigh the transaction. They claimed it was an error, but I’m not an idiot. Will never eat here again.
There was a laser focus to detail and efficiency in service. Food and drinks were amazing! Definitely would recommend.
I hadn't been to Victor's Cafe in a number of years and the food was just as tasty as I remember. Looking forward to another night out hopefully it won't be years until I return. The service was wonderful as well.
Increíble servicio e increíble comida! Súper recomendado!
Armando (our waiter) was great, helpful & personable. It was our first time there. I decided to have brunch with a couple of my girlfriends & we had an awesome time. Everyone was very friendly. I will go there again.
Reliably excellent. This time for Sunday brunch. Rum-based cocktail creations were superb, as was the ceviche. Meatball appetizer was very good and very large. Shrimp enchilados (a Cuban dish similar to a creole) were tasty, with eight large shrimp. Cuban sandwich was authentic and of high quality ingredients. Our server was the right amount of personable, and always nearby. Like most restaurants, they were a bit short-staffed, but are handling it well except for somewhat slower – but still acceptable – cocktail service. The quality has not suffered at all though.
Great food great music and the food was excellent!
Fantastic food, very attentive service & great atmosphere.
Family getting together. Friendly staff. Excellent food and presentation. Great location
Dinner before a show, right in theater district. Service was great, coconaty mojito was very good, but it was done in 2 sips, lots of ice. Sangria was very good, both white and red.
Arroz con pollo was good, but there was a strong seafood taste.Ropa vieja was very good, would have liked a bit more shredded steak.
Overall very good.
Service is outstanding and the food is very flavorful.
Noise level ratcheted up as tables filled but never rose to a level where we had to yell but we appreciated the initial quiet
The Cuban Guac was served with paper thin chips. Firm enough to have a crunch but not overpowering to take away from the flavors.
The empanadas were stuffed with chicken; 3 in the order were enough to share
We each ordered one of the Red Snapper entrees and enjoyed them thoroughly. Unfortunately we didn't have enough time for dessert before heading to the theatre. Probably a good thing as we were full already at that point.
A nice wine list with reasonable prices.
My 4th time dining at victors and as usual it was delicious! Cocktails were great as well. I try to make it to victors cafe every time I’m in nyc. Will def be back.
Superb food, along with friendly, attentive, and informative (about the various items on the menu) service. I highly recommend Victor’s Cafe. I took a friend who was visiting from Chicago to dinner at Victor’s, and he, too, thought it was outstanding.
Great dining experience in a lovely ambiance
Seated promptly and waiter service was good. Mojito didn't taste like there was any alcohol in it. Food-wise, the lechon asada was rather dry and the small plate dish supposed to contain plaintains hardly had a plantain taste. Dessert flan and churros were good. Noise level was quite high but the atmosphere was pleasant.
Good place. Classic NYC restaurant. Good drinks. Good and friendly service. Food was delicious. However, they were out of a few menu items, including bread. Prices are high for Cuban food. Would still recommend.
Best Cuban meal we’ve ever had
Our experience was as good as ever... No doubt that we will be returning for dining and drinks... Thanks to the staff... they were outstanding...
The food was excellent. We had the best waiter we could hope for. Daniel was truly amazing!!! He took care of minor details at a time when the restaurant was at capacity. I hope you get Daniel on your visit.
Had a Wonderful Time. All food, service, Wine, Music Fabulous.
Coming back on December 16th.
Victor’s Cafe was always one of our favorites before the pandemic and I’m happy to say that everything was just as great as before. The food was excellent as was the service. We’re so glad to be back!
