The food was excellent! The atmosphere was very upscale-ish and sorta felt like you were in Cuba or any Spanish country. The service was even better. After we had finished our meal, my cousin unfortunately had a bad noise bleed. Armando, who was one of the managers, came to our help without any hesitation. Without making a mess, he assisted my family until she felt better.

We greatly appreciate Victors Cafe and Armando. I highly recommend this place to anyone and I will for sure be returning!

Had a birthday party with 9 people. We were sat 34 mins after our reservation time, which was a bit frustrating, although it was alleviated by the presence of live music and drinks in the bar near the entrance. However I would def recommend calling 30 mins in advance of your reservation to let them know you'll be on time and that you'd appreciate having the table be ready asap, especially with a larger group as the entry/foyer area is quite crowded and small. Once inside, the restaurant is festive and fun and has good energy. It's warm and inviting and the wait staff is on point, without being overbearing or overly enthusiastic. Food was good, not spectacular...some things a bit over-seasoned and others a bit under-seasoned, overall "good" and "very good" would both apply. Red sangria was very tasty. Ceviche and empanadas were excellent. Entrees are a little expensive for what you get...I would focus on apps and ceviches next time!

We decided to try a new restaurant and are we glad we did! I’m glad we had an early reservation because when we left we could hardly get out due to the crowd standing in the lobby!
I started with the watermelon, tomato salad with goat cheese and crispy shallots. It was absolutely refreshing and delicious! My husband had the empanadas with the mango habanero dipping sauce. He was so pleased with the taste and quality of the food too. He had the special branzino filet which he loved. I had the paella which was enough for two meals! And if they have the guava cobbler on the menu, you must order it! It was out of this world! The rice pudding is a large portion so you can share or take some home!
We will def go back!

We have visited Victor’s many times and the restaurant remains consistently excellent! On this occasion (dinner with old friends), we had the Branzino (whole fish) which was beautifully prepared and presented and was delicious. Our friends loved the Ropa Vieja. We had the Flan for dessert which is the best in NYC in our opinion. The service was friendly and efficient. Victor’s is one of our favorite restaurants! Highly recommended!

We came here for a holiday lunch after seeing the Radio City Christmas Spectacular...My husband had never been - We started with the Bartolito (not pictured) which were delicious and he had the La Cubana to drink, while I had The Bomb Mojito. Then for our entrees, I had the Vaca Frita Hash and he had the Sandwich Cubana, and everything was great! For our finale, I had a Cuban coffee along with the Basil Pineapple Creme Brulee (those are the flavors, but not sure if that's the name), and my husband got his all time favorite Tres Leches which were both amazing. Will continue to come back here time and time again, because although it had been a while, I am never disappointed!!

Then, although I didn't order it, please note that the ceviche takes time to prepare - I overheard the man at the table next to us get very snippy with the waiter because our appetizer came out before theirs...You can't rush great food people, as scratch made depending on what it is can take time to prepare. Besides, it's the holidays, so it wouldn't hurt to be nice. :)

Always enjoy going to a Cuban restaurant while in NYC. This time I was disappointed with meal. Ropa vieja (signature dish) was extremely salty, platanos maduros tasted stale, not sweet and nothing special about them. Same for white rice and black beans ... just ok. I will say the dessert, Guavanitas de Maria were out of this world. I guess coming from Miami, I’m a tough critic.

I thought the food was delicious. My sister thought it was kind of bland. The portions were too small though for the price. We came at around 530 and the noise level was very acceptable but by seven it was pretty loud. It is an attractive restaurant though and I would go back. Our way to was very helpful. I had ordered arroz con pollo or something like that and he said it was very spicy and that I should instead get the chicken with rice and beans on the side which I did, and it was very good. My sister got some kind of pulled beef dish which was very tasty but was really a very small portion.

The seafood paella was exceptional. The veggie paella was greasy with cheese that must have broken under the heat lamp. Not really edible. Wait staff and ambiance were excellent. Vibrant and full on a Sunday evening.

Everything about the restaurant and dining experience was top notch!! The food was incredible and the service was impeccable. It’s no wonder this place has been in business for so many years. The Cuban food was one of or the best I’ve ever had. My wife and I loved the ceviche. We will certainly be returning from time to time as we work nearby.

I went with a friend prior to the theatre. The service was excellent and we were able to eat in a leisurely fashion and get to the play on time. There was a trio playing delightful Latin music and since they were in the bar the volume didn't interfere with our conversation. The cocktails were good, although small. I had tostadas and a salad, my friend ordered arroz con pollo. Everything was delicious. Pride plantains with salsa were a fine accompaniment to our cocktails. We would definitely go again.

Arrived for pre theater dinner and told no table available. Then hostess started seating another party who came in after us. Ordered drinks.... took 25 minutes to arrive and one was wrong. Salads arrived before drinks.... and one order was wrong. Returned and brought correct salad. Manager said he would comp a salad. Entree was fine... overpriced for portion. Bill arrived.. was wrong. No comp and was charged for the 3 salads.. the incorrect one and the two correct orders. Had waiter adjust bill. Too many things went wrong to make me go back again.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in the city and when I am there I like to go to it. One of my very favorite dishes is the chicken noodle soup. When I was there this summer I was told it was only made beginning in Oct. I was there 11/23 and was told the chef hadn't made the soup. A huge disappointment, but not enough to hamper my experience. There is one other small issue, now having to pay for the fried plantains. I enjoy them and given the expense ($150 for 4 appetizers and a pitcher of champagne margaritas for 2 people) being provided with the fried plantains would be a treat.

Excellent experience again! Wonderful Host and Hostess who met us and seated us quickly. Our server was amazing. He offered suggestions was very helpful, respectful and funny. Had a great smile and had a great sense to know when to come over and check on us. He was not hovering like at other places I have been. The food was excellent the Cuban Guava Margarita was excellent! The atmospher is great. The place was crowded and everyone was having a great time. A must stop if you are in NYC you will not be dissapointed!

Victor's has great classic Cuban cuisine--their rope vieja is about the best anywhere--and more modern takes on Cuban cooking. It's a fun place to eat anytime, but it is convenient pre-theater. Portions are ample. You will not leave hungry.

Victor's Cafe on 52nd Street between Broadway and 8th Avenue is the premier Cuban restaurant in NYC. The food, the service, and the ambiance reflects its Cuban heritage. A little piece of Havana in Manhattan's theater district.
It was three of us celebrating a birthday. We shared several dishes like, Cuban sandwiches, papas rellenas, croquetas corral, tostones con masitas de puerco, and mariquitas de platano, oh, and of course several mojitos. Dessert was flan, tres leches and churros.
Everything delicious and made in real Cuban style and flavor. We know, all three of us were born in Cuba.

Lunch at Victors was wonderful! Great space in back garden, wonderful service and excellent food! We were so thrilled with our prix fixe meals - my ceviche was fresh and good, one friend’s starter salad was huge and tasty and my other friend’s croquettes were perfect! We all had the salmon which was perfectly seared and simply prepared. Flan was yummy and my friend raves about the rice pudding (not my thing). Highly recommend!!!
