The cuisine at Victor’s includes the most delicious, authentic dishes combined with the restaurant’s exclusive creations that represent the evolution of Cuban cuisine. Signature dishes include Victor’s famous black bean soup, shredded beef (“Ropa Vieja”), and roast suckling pig (“Lechon”).
The restaurant itself is divided into three spacious dining rooms, accented with warm lighting, colorful Cuban art, tropical ceiling fans, and lofty sky-lit ceilings. Its Cuba Lounge is intimate and warm, featuring a tapas menu and a variety of Cuban cocktails such as Mojitos and Sangria.
Fabulous, we were especially impressed with our water pourer! Lol crazy reach and long beautiful pours with no spill! Food and ambiance was incredible.
Visiting NY from Houston, TX I had to stop and had some Cuban food at Victor's Cafe, the food was as good as I remember. We meet some friends there that we haven't seen in a long time (years) so it was supposed to be an epic time! Our waiter just ruined it from the get go, My friend asked what was the fruit mojito of the day and he said passion fruit, to what we both replay we can have that fruit, please do a skinny mojito for both. He brought the Passion fruit mojito like we never said a word, even told him I am diabetic so I was going to have the skinny. But you will think that is common, he didn't hear or remember, mistake happens, etc. But what he does next was unacceptable, made us very uncomfortable and plain rude. I wanted to leave right then, because if you wait tables you need to be pleasant, you represent the restaurant and more so a group of adults 50+ that treated him nice so no reason for him to stare at us with such a hate look on his face for over 3 mins and insisting we order the passion fruit mojito!!! at the end I told him to leave it, and bring the correct one. but honestly he made us feel very uncomfortable and he didn't stop there. We requested another waiter but no such a thing happened. This waiter was slamming our food and drinks on the table!!!. I was really bother by this, needless to say it took away from a real happy occasion. Food was good as I remember, services of that waiter was -5 our of 5, hostess was great and very pretty lady, so my rating is on that waiter bc he ruined our special moment not able to recreate any time soon as we live in Houston. Honestly it sucked and they should have changed our waiter as soon as we complained. He really looked like he needed medication.
Delicious Cuban cuisine. Hostesses can be a little scatterbrained at times. But don't let them be your takeway from the place. Food and drinks are very good.
Always so accompanying. Some of our party were late but we were able to be seated promptly as they arrived. Thanks!
Go to place when on NYC. Great food, fabulous service
Very noisy and chaotic feeling.
Excellent place, food was great. The ladies at the front desk are very polite and friendly. I was late for my reservation but after a while they got me a table. Will go back in a heart beat.
The food, service and ambience are always exceptional.
A group of five of us had dinner there for Valentine's Day. All five of us were delighted with Victor's and can't wait to return. We had salmon, red snapper and a vegetable melange that were delicious and plentiful. White wine sangria was the best I have ever had. The ambiance is festive with colorful murals, plants on the ceiling and ceiling fans reminiscent of Cuba. While it can be noisy in some parts of the restaurant, we were seated in the back where the noise level was more moderate. They gave us complimentary mimosas as well!
Great everything!! The price is a bit much but should be expected.
Victor’s was very busy on a Valentine’s Day Friday night. However, the food and service were very good, and we never felt rushed. I always make a point to have dinner at Victor’s Cafe when I visit New York, and tonight’s visit justify’s that policy. The food is that good! I’ll be back on my next visit!
This was my third visit to Victor’s and it was excellent. Hubby and I came for Valentine’s Day. Service was great and food was delicious. I got Red Snapper and was surprised it was so good. The rice and beans were so flavorful. The only thing that was kinda meh was the Tres Leches dessert. I wasn’t too impressed with that. But everything else was incredible. Highly recommend.
Victor’s works well for groups. This would be our third time coming here after theatre and they easily managed our group of 7 with a banquette corner and chairs. We ordered two bottles of wine and some cocktails, salads and entrees. Branzino, salmon, veggie paella and shrimp dishes were all good. The rice and beans that come with the entrees were perfectly prepared. The two desserts we ordered were also on par. That said, we felt in general that the service should have been better and overall for value the restaurant only average.
The appetizers were amazing but the entrees were a bit dry. Service was also on the slow side.
Although had a Confirmed reservation had to wait over 15 minutes passed the reservation time to be seated!!
The place was very packed & vibrant, a bit hard to have a conversation!!
The food and service was as usual very good!!!
Going to victors for over 30 years. Always exceptional customer service.
Good food musics and service was great
Enjoy and love Victor!s each and every time we dine there.
Best Cuban cuisine.
Ropa vieja was delicious, as were the salad and dessert. The service was impeccable. A return is definitely required!!
Sat at the bar first for drinks and apps. Then sat in dining room for dinner. Great food and service
Great food! Returned after 2 years and was pleasantly surprised.
Dinner before seeing a broadway show
Food was excellent
Have been a customer for over 30 years. Always great food and service. Highly recommended.
A beautiful place to dine at. The food was delicious. I will be coming back soon.
This used to be my favorite restaurant but this last visit left a lot to be desired. My mom ordered the signature Ropa Vieja but it was too salty so I shared my Snapper with her. The Snapper was good but they changed the sauce from mild to spicy (which was not changed on the mrnu) so that was disappointing. They've added tables so it's very cramped and a private conversation is impossible, I know the couple on my left was celebrating a birthday but they are having serious problems with finances and the couple on my right work together and were on their first date. Keep in mind, I never spoke to them- our tables were that close. We opted to take dessert to go because we just wanted to leave. I will not be going back.
First time here. Wonderful ambience and delicious food. Will return!
Had a great and delicious experience at Victors Cafe celebrating my friends birthday! The staff was very attentive as well as accommodating. Coat check was a great touch for trooping in on a cold winter day with a large coat!
We went to Victor’s Cafe 52 to celebrate my birthday. Food and drinks were very good. The sangria is out of this world!
An amazing time here. Ambiance is amazing. Sangria pitcher is definitely worth a try. Guacamole and chips were good guacamole was fresh. Standard rice and beans. Seafood paella was SUPER FRESH and so good! Dessert even better guava and vanilla gelato had the right level of sweetness and texture.
Delicious food and amazing service!
Been here at least six times over many, many years and I have NEVER been disappointed. The service is excellent! The food is always good, always served hot and I have NEVER had to complain about a meal. Great place to go before a Broadway show. Oh, the sangria is definitely a cut above as well! Enjoy!
Been to Victors in the past and have always enjoyed it. However, I wasn’t impressed at all this time. Food was mediocre. Mojitos had to be sent back. Very busy , which is expected, but very loud. Tables were too close to each other . For the money I paid, it was not worth it . Won’t be going back.
Birthday and a play
Food and service was excellent. Will definitely go back!!
Superb restaurant. Will definitely return
The service was excellent however the food was just fair especially for the price
I went for a Restaurant Week lunch so the value was very, very good. Started with the Ensalada de Palmitos y Mandarinas which was very good. Then had the Ropa Vieja which was excellent; such a tasty dish. The portions weren't huge (which I prefer because who can eat all that food) but I still wound up bringing some home. Dessert which wasn't included (orange creme brulee), was so very good. Finished off with espresso. Every dish was a wonderful blend of flavors and I truly enjoyed my lunch.
Went for lunch during Restaurant Week. Loved it. Will return for dinner next time!
