very bland food. very bland decor. scones were best part of the meal but the rest of the food was forgettable and disappointing.
Went to OMNI Victoria's Restaurant for afternoon tea and it was an awesome experience! The staff, food (sandwiches/desserts), and the tea was delicious. Attention to detail by their staff; management, service, and chefs are second to none. Definitely an experience you must try and will most likely repeat.
Fantastic food and service. Breakfast Brunch was excellent.
the waiter is nice. But there is no one care about us after the server finished his shift. We asked to add hot water for three times, finally we got someone to add water for us. Overall, there is a quite nice place to get together with friends.
My friend and I loved it!
It was a very disappointing experience. The sandwiches were very dry and the scones were not served warm. The clottted cream was cold.
The noise level was loud, ambience was not great.
Will not be going back
I organised this from England for my daughter and her husband to celebrate their first wedding anniversary. I arranged with the managements to pay for this on my card in advance they were made very welcome and had a most enjoyable afternoon tea.
We made reservations in advance and arrived on time. ( we were staying at the hotel celebrating our son and daughter in laws anniversary - they had been married at the hotel last year. We had treated our friends to breakfast after the wedding at this restaurant and remembered it to be decent if not rather aloof in its ambiance and service) We were seated promptly but then, we were ignored for at least 15 minutes. Eventually... my husband got up and spoke to the manager.
Our server - eventually - came to the table - he was polite and efficient. We ordered a la carte from the menu rather than the overpriced buffet.
Our food came - eventually...
(I ended up taking a pastry from the buffet because I was hungry and we had waited quite a long time. )
The food was good.
It was a decent experience overall, but not worth repeating.
Not worth the price, mediocre experience.
My Grandaughter and I had our first afternoon tea at King Edward Hotel ,Finger sandwiches excellent ,and the pastries were delicious Thought it may be a bit noisy as they do lunch menu also, but nice and relaxing, ambiance great,Staff very knowledgeable about the teas,Shall definitely go again
We celebrated my birthday. I had the Chocolate Tea experience, but requested the vegetarian option for the savories. Omg! I LOVED LOVED LOVED the savories!!! If I could order seconds of that plate I would. As wonderful as the sweets were, my friends and I were REALLY enjoying the savories. We couldn’t stop talking about them whole time.
For the cost of the afternoon tea, a plate of 5 TINY sandwiches, a tiny shotglass of soup and a few sweets, not worth it the cost. The scones were cold, not even warm. I can't recommend anyone going for the afternoon tea. No value for the $49.00 per person.
Service was fantastic but the ambience is lacklustre. No music was playing. And there are no windows so they need to fill the white walls with colour, photos, paintings (there are beautiful paintings everywhere else in the hotel). This dining room felt like a "work in progress"
Thank you. It was great! Great service. Maybe introduce an omelette station as well.
Some child/tween was at a table beside us unsupervised and was watching videos on her phone without ear buds. The noise was distracting and annoying. The server should have stopped her. Thankfully she left sooner than later. Still. King Eddy dining room as a baby sitter. What are people thinking.
We went for Sunday brunch. Service was good, food was delicious and the environment was excellent. I would recommend.
The food was very disappointed for the price
The service is always on point. High tea fare is delicious. It is a wonderful place for friends to gather for an afternoon.
Server was not attentive at all. Eggs Benny was good however the Rosti was burnt and did not enjoy it.
We decided to do a family brunch at the Victoria restaurant. The food was tasty, the service was excellent (the wait staff were great p, they went the extra mile). The only thing that could of been better was to gave more dishes available (seafood maybe). The breakfast side was great.
Overrated for no reason. Much better brunches and ambience available at half price at many places in Toronto.
Great food and ambience, as always! Make sure you try the Beef Wellington before anything else!
Our server Dey was amazing and very knowledgeble about the teas. Totally made our afternoon tea experience amazing.
Excellent venue and great food as well - - made for an enjoyable brunch.
Been coming here for years. Sadly, the shrimp seem to get smaller every time. It's a good buffet in a stunning room but a little overpriced. Nice for occasions like Mothers Day.
Second visit to Victoria's restaurant, the food is always fantastic. The service is bit slower and sometimes leave us behind. I guess this is because they are busy? Anyways, if you never been there, at least try one time. It is worth it.
I had asked a British-Canadian friend for a suggestion regarding afternoon tea. His family enjoys Victoria's at the King Eddy the most for classic afternoon tea, fair price and quiet, calm setting. The restaurant and the hotel itself is centrally located to Toronto's main business district and historic old Toronto.
There's a limited choice of tea but they're all very good. It's very good value for money, and overall I would recommend it to friends and I have! I went solo, after a friend cancelled but whether alone, a friend or a group or friends they're very accommodating. I'll return again!
Most tea places offer additional plates of sandwiches for no extra price. King Eddy doesn't do this.. Its 35 dollars per person... the tea was nice... but I left completely starving. We got per person 2 small scones, and 3 finger sandwiches.. Not a lot of food! Would NOT go back!
Exceptional service and staff enjoy coming for special occasions easy weekend parking classy environment
Everything was delicious, most notably the beef wellington, white wine steamed mussle, and tiramisu. Loved their coffee too. Our stomachs were happily full and sated.
We also enjoyed wonderful music performed by harpist Liane James.
The only down note was our server wasnt happy with his standard tip. No thank you no eye contact after....
Oh well, we had a swell time.
All food items were made in house and very fresh - standouts were the berry compote and scones (and I don't usually like scones). It's a lovely spot for tea and we had fun smelling the various teas from the 2 sample boxes.
Our server was quite knowledgeable and personable but the pacing of his service was a bit off rhythm to our party that day, to the point where 3 out of 5 party members noticed.
Enjoyed by all of us, would definitely recommend especially for a granddaughter outing.
Very nice! Everything was delicious! Beautiful setting and gorgeous dining ware.
If you like high tea or would like to experienced high tea, try the King Edward Hotel.
Sunday brunch is incredible! One of the best we have ever had - and we've had some great ones! Highly recommended.
I find the lightening really old fashioned. And makes it feel less of an inviting place. It feels like going to a conference room in a basement
Excellent service, servers were very friendly, professional and attentive. Afternoon tea set
was delicious especially the sandwiches. would come again!
The quality of the Sunday brunch has diminished over the last few years. There used to be fresh oysters and crab claws, as well as lobster. Not any more. I guess it is just the sign of the economic times. The beef wellington is still as good as it used to be.
We had a fantastic experience! We went for high tea on a Saturday afternoon. The staff was very friendly and the restaurant had a lovely atmosphere. Nice selection of teas and pastries, my special lady was very happy with everything and had a great time. Will definitely do it again!
Absolutely amazing Sunday brunch. Food selection is abundant and top quality. Opulent atmosphere. It's definitely fit for royalty.
