Awesome food and service!
Food and service were good. Staff very friendly and accommodating.
Noise level extremely loud. Could not carry on a conversation.
Parking is inadequate.
Food was amazing. Great consistent experience. Stopped by a few years ago and was equally pleased by everything.
It was great! Will definitely go again and recommend! Thanks!!
was very good for lunch meeting. fish and chips was very good
Food and service were very good. My wife and I had the pastrami sandwich. Our friends had the Lobster grilled cheese and the Waygu burger. All very good. Wine selection is very good and there are plenty of affordable selections.
Food is always great, service was good! Love the atmosphere.
Staff was very friendly and competent. Manager greeted us and checked in on us. Great experience.
The food was both interesting and tasty - hamburger, lobster grilled cheese, and boar sloppy Joe. The service was outstanding and I cannot say enough good things about our waitress who was knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. She checked on us frequently and gave good advice about the menu and drinks. This restaurant is an asset to the neighborhood.
We went to Victoria Gastro Pub on a Wednesday evening for a birthday dinner celebration. Every member of our group of 8 loved their food. Everything was delicious. The service was great. Like most busy restaurants, it was a little noisy for a group as large as ours to be able to all hear each other, but otherwise we couldn't have asked for more. We'll definitely go back.
Overall the food was great but the Broccoli Rabe on the Beefwich sandwich was so overpowering that a couple of people in our party had to remove it from their sandwich. Great beer selection.
The food was delicious and locally sourced, the rockfish so delicious I didn't want to share. Menu includes burgers and fries to gourmet starters. Gastro pub is well named
Rockfish special was on the dry side. Sounded much better in the description. Would never order again.
Steaks were fair at best.
Crab cake was the best option this night.
Crab soup was good.
Place seems to have gone downhill some.
Asked server for bread for the table to enjoy with my crab soup & entrees and was informed they no longer serve bread like in the past. But you could order cornbread for $5.00 extra!
For the future, I will stay with the drinks and the burger!!
We sat at the bar and Steph and Sean were great! Sean made me a super-creative cocktail that was delicious. We love the beer selection. This was my first time back in a long time, and I love the new Manor Hill beers - great flavor!
One of my favorite restaurants on traveling in Columbia, Maryland. Not only is it excellent for dinner but also for lunch! I routinely order the warm spinach salad because it is absolutely to die for and it's hard for me to select anything else. Service was very good and it was able to work at a high top at the bar and get some work done over lunch.
Friendly staff. Beer tasting was 5x5 ounces -- good but be aware of the size. Food is delicately balanced. Overall, quite a pleasant experience.
Went for Easter brunch and was surprised that their Special menu was pretty much the Sunday menu with some of the dishes removed. In most households, Easter dinner is after church. Not at Victoria’s this year. The dinner menu didn’t start til 5:00, the same as every other Sunday. I had the Country Breakfast. The sausage and BBQ beans were excellent. The bacon not so good.
I miss the old Victoria’s when the service was faster, they had seasonal menus with lighter fare and interesting ingredients (lamb, venison, quail), the perfectly seasoned dishes presented beautifully, not just thrown on the plate, scrambled eggs cooked in butter and bacon not cooked far in advance. Still some of the dishes can be great-the fish and chips, the stuffed French toast, the duck fat fries, and desserts are always top notch.
The bragged about Poultrie fires were bland as well as the rest of the entrees we received.
I brought my daughters and nieces for Easter brunch. It was very nice - the service was good and the food is always very consistent here. I had the French Toast with Mascarpone which was really tasty and not an over-the-top quantity. A few of my family members ordered Eggs Benedict which they said was quite good. We had a burger, a lobster grilled cheese and a crab cake sandwich which all got the thumbs-up. It also wasn't a mob scene which is what we were looking for. Nice that you could make a reservation.
We love Victoria's. This time we asked our family (10 relatives) to join us for Easter Brunch. The food and service was great but they don't seem to have the reservation thing figured out.
The food was average at best. The eggs Benedict lacked flavor. I have a thing about eateries that don't put salt and pepper on the table - it has to be requested and only the server can dispense it. The Gruyere Potato Cake was just a potato cake that lacked seasoning with a slice of Gruyere melted on top. This place has such potential - but misses the mark.
Waiter seemed to spend too much time flirting with guests at his tables. Had to wait a long time for our check.
I’ve been there on Thursday . I called before to specify I have a birthday celebration . They promised me they will take care of the birthday gentlemen. I also asked for a birthday cake which I willed to paid for . Nobody did anything. I felt bad . I like the restaurant and the food but not the service . Thank you !
Parking here is always an issue. There is simply not enough room in the lot for the restaurant. Be prepared to park in another lot and walk.
Otherwise, the experience was great. The bar is hopping and a bit noisy, but most folks want that. The food is excellent albeit the portions are a bit small. Delicious options abound, and I have never heard anything but raves from any of the other diners who have joined us for dinners there.
Great food, superb beer menu. If available I recommend the patio.
We went for a brunch get together with friends. The food and drinks we outstanding. Loved the crab eggs Benedict and bloody Mary (just spicy enough!). It's a little loud but not so you can't hear each other. Our waiter could have been better but we have had better there so I think this was a one off. Won't keep us from coming back again and again!
Fantastic food and great decor. A little on the pricey side but definitely worth it
Good food, service a bit slow but it was a busy Friday evening. Very accommodating for our special needs guest, much appreciated.
This place is always a winner. My husband's sister was in town for one meal, and this is restauarant we chose. Love the varied cocktail menu, and my sister in law had fun with the beer selection. I have dreams about the poutine, and their fish and chips is very good (and a reasonable sized portion, not the sea monsters most places give you.) No matter what the occasion, Victoria will make you happy.
Been here many times and I love this place. I tried to go during the recent snowpocalypse but they had to close and lost power. The manager still found a way to look up my reservation and call me to let me know they could not accommodate me. Then he offered me perks next time in for the inconvenience. Just typical of their great customer service!
Our waitress Amber was great. She was very knowledgeable and informative about the menu. The Angus burger was made to perfection, according to my husband. The duck fat fries are a must try!
I always enjoy eating here. The food is always good and varied with the specials they offer.
We had a very nice meal this evening. The duck fat fries were as good as we'd heard. Entrees were good, too. The bread pudding dessert was tasty and sized for sharing.
We have been fans of Victoria's for years. The food is delicious and the vibe is fun. We would visit a lot more often if they would seasonally change the menu. On rare occasions they add or delete an item on the menu and the only seasonal nod I look forward to is the cheese stuffed squash blossoms in the summer. They are fantastic and worth a special trip. So, even though the lobster grilled cheese sandwich is very good ( although the lobster was pretty skimpy this visit) and the duck fat fries are amazing, we will continue to limit our visits to two or three times a year. Howard County is blessed with MANY great restaurants so we can find variety elsewhere.
Went here for St. Paddys day. The hostesses and waiters were dressed for the occasion and the bar was hopping by 7pm. I was going just for dinner with a friend and the eating area was separated and it helped dampen the noise. We both had great glasses of California Cabernet, and the salads were fresh and tasty. My only gripe is that there was no cheese & charcuterie plate. If you wanted a combination you had to buy two separate appetizers.
Great list of beers and our waiter knew the list well. The menu was less interesting, but my fish and chips were good and others seemed happy. They have a beer club for regulars.
Love the food, drinks & ambiance!
Poutine was excellent!! Victoria's crab dish was ok. The crab meat was fresh the veggies were fresh but not seasoned well. The biscuit was off, not good.
It would be lovely if you had a gluten free menu for brunch!
The food and service was great. I had the sirloin which was super. I had a cherry shout that was awesome.
