Service was quick throughout the meal. Our server Donnie was attentive and polite. The food was amazing. We enjoyed our favorites: duck fat fries and gnocchi. It was a wonderful experience as always.

Valentine’s Day - We like to go back to the place we had our first date, got engaged, and had our pre-wedding family dinner. Lots of good food was eaten and many great memories were made there.

Poor service on a special day with a Valentine’s date with my husband and son.
It was their first time at the Vic’s and they will not go back:((
Our server was Joey and we had several hiccups in our night. He forgot our son’s juice/ got duck instead on chicken on pasta/ dessert took an extra 10 mins after we had paid and were waiting to leave to go hom
On a school night. Not sure if he was distracted or kitchen was backed up!
When I provided a feedback to the manager I was told oh that’s surprising since Joey is out too server!!

The menu itself was ok but food was good.
Will not recommend or go for special occasions especially if the menu is Pre fixed.

So I understand that they were busy bcs it is valentine 's day but better quality y then quantity ! Sad ....

Fantastic as usual! Have been about 4-5 times and every time it's a hit. We went in for Valentine's day, and both the food and service were wonderful. They had a special prix fixe menu, but we opted for the regular menu, mostly because we had to get the duck fat fries poutine! Had the chicken and pork chop entree which were very tasty! We were so full that all we could manage for dessert was ice cream, though the citrus trifle sounded delicious. Our server Rachel was very nice and attentive. Would definitely recommend for any occasion!

Although pricey, the food and beer is worth it! I love the different beers that they have and that they provide the alcohol content! Try the Lobster Grill Cheese! It's the best. Their hamburgers are great too!

There was no steak on the menu at all. Chef thought it was good to take it off the menu on a busy day. Waitress was great though. Very nice and courteous.

It's a nice place and tries to play upscale. Neither of us were blown away by the food. On par with a chain restaurant but with a higher end price tag. Steak and pasta were run of the mill, potatoes and vegetables were undercooked.

First time guest. Was seated earlier than reservation on a crowded SAT night to our pleasant surprise. Great beer menu, and solid wine list. Dinner menu has great variety and choices. Ambience is outstanding, and our waitress Rachel was top notch! We were with friends we hadn't seen in a while, and Rachel NEVER rushed us! Highly recommend giving this a try!

Food was good. Had the fish and chips with a side Caesar salad. The salad contained mostly white romaine lettuce. The fish and chips were good - crispy, hot and delicious. Took quite a bit of time for server to first come over to table, then all he did was introduce himself and said he would be back with waters (which we did not ask for). He left so quickly, we could not tell him our drink order - had to wait until he came back with the waters. Then, took another while for the drinks to come. Seems a bit of a convoluted process for a random Thursday night.

It was fine ... server was very good ... food tasted delicious but disappointing portion for the price ... they left us alone to enjoy our conversation after we were done eating which was great ... overhead music was *very* loud ... even with a reservation, we were seated in their unconditioned space with alternating very hot space heaters and cold air gusts ... Great beer /wine selection but limited entree choices ... probably would only visit no more than 2x per year

We went here for my birthday on Friday evening with a group of 6 people. Our waitress was not attentive to our table. It seemed we were left needing something or waiting for our food for an abnormally large amount of time. When the food finally did come out 2 plates were wrong and 1 plate came out a full 20 minutes after everyone else’s food. By that time we were all starving and pretty unhappy. I felt bad recommending this place for my family to celebrate my birthday. The only saving grace was that they offered free dessert at the end. It didn’t seem like the waitress even cared that our table wasn’t getting any attention. I don’t know what the issue was that night at Victoria’s but I was extremely disappointed and am not sure I will ever come back or recommend it.

When I first saw this restaurant 's name it put me off. Then a family member told me they loved it so I had to try. I was not dissappointed. I had the gruyere burger and it was wonderful; moist, flavorful and fresh. I also tried the duck day fries. They too were good although my cholesterol probably took a big hit. Noisy but worth the food.

Typically able to grab a quick meal with great service but somewhat slower than normal. Waiter apologized that customers showed up all at once. The Maryland Crab Vegetable soup was truly full of lump crab! My favorite salad is the warm spinach salad with duck, egg and pretzels! One of my favorite restaurants in Columbia!

Terrible service. We had a reservation (630p on Sunday, January 28) and waited around for ten minutes after checking in. "We will seat you when we get a chance" was all we were told after we checked-in. Lame. What is the point of a reservation?

Also, it took us several minutes to check-in due to the poor design of the front entry and inefficient management of customers lining up in front of the host stand. Folks without reservations could loiter in front of the host/hostess stand while reading the menu (to decide if they wanted on the wait list) with people waiting behind.

Then we left a little after 640p and had great service and a great meal elsewhere. We ended up going to another restaurant (Royal Taj) down the road. What a juxtaposition with the excellent service at Royal Taj.

Will not try Victoria again. I can excuse food that misses the mark if the service is good but not the other way around. Not sure what all of the fuss is about.

(I listed the food as Good but is is N/A).

VGP is one of our favorite restaurants - but this visit was not up to par. We ordered beer flights, after waiting a while, only to find out first one of my husband's choices was out. More time passes to find out then one of my choices was out. Very long wait for drinks. Upcharges on beer flights are ridiculous - basic flight is $14.95, but most options are an upcharge - leading to an almost $30 flight for my husband. Greens on my husband's sandwich were so bitter you couldn't eat them, and food was very salty. Service was solidly mediocre. We'll be back to give it another shot since we've loved VGP on our other visits...but this one wasn't good at all.

Well, the food was absolutely delicious...and that's a good thing. The duck fat fries were definitely worth breaking the diet for. My crab cake dinner was outstanding and my husband's steak was done just the way he asked for it - very rare. If you like baked beans - you'll love theirs (as long as you're not a vegetarian).

So, why were we disappointed? It was the service from the time we entered until we left. Not awful, just disappointing. We had a reservation and were told we could wait in the bar until the table was ready. They took other people's phone numbers but didn't ask for mine. Not worried - they had called me during the day to confirm my reservation so they obviously had it next to my name on the reservation list (I saw it there). After 1/2 hour at the bar, we checked back and they said they had been waiting for us. Really? Yet you're calling everyone else (WHY don't you use the individual buzzer system other restaurants use? Are you telemarketing with the phone numbers?) The two bartenders who waited on us were not rude, but not friendly like most bartenders are. Likewise, our waiter, who took quite a while to come to our table to begin with, was less than attentive. For example, I had brought my just-about-empty wine glass from the bar and was ready for a 2nd when he said, "Oh, I see you already have drinks" ...and promptly left.

All-in-all, we had a pleasant night together, with good food, drink, and conversation, but were disappointed in the service on a night that was not particularly busy at Victoria's Gastro Pub.

Always a good meal. No surprises, just solid, delicious food, delivered in a pleasant atmosphere. We always get the Duck Fries to start. Our server was a little too standoffish, but when we got her attention all went well. Meals were brought out hot. Had to ask for pepper and no salt on the tables. Would be good to add more decaf hot teas - I was told only Decaf earl grey or Green tea were available.
